  • Hey everybody! Welcome back to another CAHSR video! Sorry for the missed upload, life got in the way! This week’s video will include the latest Sentinel2 updates on the project, as well as the premier of the Hanford Viaduct model teased at the end of the previous video (It also includes a model of the Grangeville Boulevard Grade Separation!). Feel free to comment down below any suggestions you have for topics you would like me to cover!

    Appreciate the model and the condensed satellite updates. Seeing some of the shooflies and realignments done will be major for the authority being able to have more of the alignment waiting for rails, and moving the trench forward. Hanford's made a lot of good progress!

      Jason Dronin Around's channel has a video with nice imagery from about July 20/21 showing the full length of the viaduct in a basically uncut five minute pan, with pause to orbit over the railroad crossing section to see the column work and the work over SR198 preparing the deck forms for future rebar placement.

      Absolutely. Each step forward, no matter how small they seem, is adding toward the huge final goal of opening EOY 2030.

    Thanks for everything you do to keep us informed!
    Between closures for harvest season, closures for Christmas freight traffic, and closures for weather, it seems like CAHSR hardly has any days they're allowed to work.

    I knew there was progress but it's always nice to get talked through everything. Thanks!

    Thanks for the clarification irt Grangeville. I was wondering how that crossing would work.

    What map you used to see updated map compare to older one?

      I use EOS Landviewer for my A/B comparisons.

    The model on flat imagery makes the Hanford Viaduct look even more like a giant structure in the middle of nowhere.

      In real life, the orchards around it are about as tall as the viaduct itself, but for obvious reasons I left those out of the model.

    I don't think that any signalling will be installed. It will most likely be ETCS Level 2 SRS 4.0.0 without lineside signals

    • @DavidCiani
      @DavidCiani หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There's still trackside equipment that's part of the signaling system, even when the actual signals are communicated to the driver in-cab.

    • @pirazel7858
      @pirazel7858 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DavidCiani New ETCS high speed only lines are build without signals to reduce costs and potential points of failure. With the latest tracks, which require monitored train integration, even having no axle counters. The only track side equipment are the OCS, connection to the switches, balise, and occasional a radio block centre

    I don't know if you allow links in your comments but click on my name if you're looking for up to date drone footage in the Hanford Viaduct area. I like and subscribed. I like the method you use for showing the updates :-)
