    Update on the environmental clearance news: The Board of Directors just approved the final segment yesterday so now SF-LA is entirely environmentally cleared!

    Here's hoping that there aren't any huge roadblocks thrown in the way of this project in, let's say, November of this year.

    Amp, great video as always! Thank you for your work!
    If I can make a suggestion, it would be great if you could mention which CP each project is part of and roughly where it's located (distance to closest town). Or maybe even having a mini-map in a corner would be really really great!
    I understand that this is probably a ton of extra work, but I think it would really make the videos a lot more accessible to the people who are newer to the project and drive more views.

      @@AmpereBEEPI'm sure you heard about the announcement to connect CAHSR and BLW. If not, here is a little blurb about it. Very exciting.
      "The 54-mile high-speed rail line would serve as a connector between the planned Brightline West Victor Valley Station and the California High-Speed Rail in Palmdale, California."

    As someone living in Fresno I really want to experience the whole thing built from northern to Southern California. However I watched one of the board member meetings and they are worried about funding if Trump is elected

    • @AmpereBEEP
      @AmpereBEEP  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      It is a serious concern for the project as the Trump Administration has already set a precedent that they will pull funding away from the project like they did in 2019. I really am hoping that it never comes to that point, but it is definitely a concern.

      @@AmpereBEEP not just that, but also the Republican effort in Congress to cut CA out of any more federal HSR funding. Hopefully that doesn’t come to pass either, or Democrats don’t bend to it in order to get any federal HSR or transit funding bill passed.
      On any plus side, if CAHSR were to no longer receive any more federal funding, CA could fund Merced-Bakersfield on its own and get trains running by 2033, and potentially to SF and LA although that likely would take a few decades.

    What's going on with the Cross Valley Corridor? TCAG still needs to confirm a transition from bus to rail at some future date.

    • @AmpereBEEP
      @AmpereBEEP  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I don't think there is any news yet on the CVC, but I will try and find anything if I can. I believe their plan was for the transition to take place in 2035, but that is contingent on them getting even a bus line running in 2028 as their documents suggested.

    For the station near Visalia in the middle of nowhere between two cities, are there plans for development around that station?

    • @ChrisJones-gx7fc
      @ChrisJones-gx7fc 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yes, as there are the other CV stations. Things will start out mostly parking lots, but as time goes on most of those lots are planned to be converted to TOD.
