You're doing amazing! I was a single mom for several years. I'm sure many women will really appreciate your sharing your life and will feel less isolated. For me there are some big positives to parenting solo and having your "own" space. Every situation has its own upsides and challenges.
I find myself saying "One day at a time" out loud as I struggle through life sometimes. It trains my brain to not worry about tomorrow, next week, or any othe future concerns. "One day at a time" reminds me to stay in the present, not the past or future, where guilt, shame and worry reside. Lol You're doing great, Mai! So happy to see you smiling and joking around again. 💗
I thought my heart was safe with my ex-husband, needless to say I was devastated when he asked me for a divorce. The silence was deafening. I cried so much and so hard that it aged me. I cried myself to sleep most nights, would cry at my desk at work, would even cry in the shower. I was so embarrassed to face family and friends. I felt like a failure. It was awful. Each woman is different, just know you're not alone. The only thing that truly helped me was attending mass, praying and reading the Word.
It's not easy to get used to a new way of living especially in the beginning. I'm sure slowly you'll find a new norm and you'll love it. I send you good vibes to help you through this difficult time. Thanks for the great content and the motivation!!

As a kid, doing anything in the non-traditional way was much more enjoyable (i.e. doing homework on the staircase instead of the table) so I'm sure the twin that sleeps on the floor feels like the winner, lol!!! For the letter board: "Just Breathe!!!" Had that on my phone's lock screen for the longest time bc I needed that reminder to do so. It truly helped me alot.

I would stay BUSY or visit people because they house got 'so quiet' and felt so big and empty at times. It gets easier... and the kids actually would want you to invest your free time on making yourself whole and happy (my kids told me this recently many YEARS after I divorced their father). Take care of yourself hun. Also, don't forget to PREP for winterizing since your in charge of your home maintenance and god forbid another snowmageddon occur this winter. So prep early and slowly so you aren't stressed.

I have now finished the video and what I want for Christmas, a coffee bar or a really good blender for smoothies and so good that it makes puree without clumps. I'm over the ancient ninja bullet my husband has had for many years. I need a good blender!! I also want my coffee bar. I have accessories for it and love Halloween all year, but those accessories/mugs have taken over my kitchen and I need the bar to declutter. I have so much to do by this weekend with visitors coming and I needed this inspiration. I'm sure I've said it before, but your videos are my nightly go to before bed and during the day when I need my inspo. Thank you for being the totally awesome you that I see you as. Stay strong! I can relate to the feeling of no kids home for periods of time and it's not just a boredom I feel because I love my kid chaos, but a guilt because I feel they should be with me. Anyway, you're doing great! I'm in a military life because of my husband and I'm still not used to those moments where it's all on me. I spent all last year alone with two of my kids while my husband was out of country or state and it's a huge adjustment to have help and then suddenly feel single and doing it all alone. There is a little hex wrench that generally comes with your garbage disposal, if you have it, try going under the sink and sticking that in the hole underneath the garbage disposal. It loosens the blade if by clogging it, you locked it up. Worth a try. Good luck.

I totally understand you getting a divorce, I will give you a piece of advice just throwing it bag of his stuff with bills shows how resentful you are. Placing it on the porch and trying to get along will get you a longer way! Praying you find internal peace!♥️♥️
I think part of the ease/quickness of the cleaning is at least partly how you've simplified. It's probably easier to clean up because you have less to manage. I was so ashamed of my divorce for a while because my ex and his family made it their mission to let everyone know the divorce was my fault and I left him. We grew up in a very religious group where people would rather live in misery than divorce. It took me time to see that if people treated me poorly because of divorce than I really didn't need them in my life and most other people didn't care or had been there themselves. Divorce is hard even when it's the best thing for everyone. Just know it gets easier.

If you want to get the brown spots off your stove burners, use either Scrub Mommy power paste OR spray lightly with oven cleaner, wrap in plastic (around outside) and let sit for 20-30 minutes. Remove plastic and wipe.

If you can't get a new one through your warranty Costco has American Standard (my husband swears by this company)ones. My husband bought one for my daughter for Mothers Day. Wish we lived nearby he could of helped you out. Hint always do your research and buy your own stuff (whenever possible) when it comes to plumbing. They'll sometimes even charge double for their products (My husband use to work for a plumbing company)

Little kids usually love to sleep on a cot on the floor. For quite a few years my youngest boy slept on a bedroll on the floor in our bedroom. We had a 3 bedroom house with 3 kids. Our daughter had her own room, our 2 boys were about 51/2 years apart and they were so horrible to each other. We had them share a room and it would take hours for them to go to sleep. The final straw was when the younger one got up one night ( top bunk) and peed on his brother on the lower bed.
I already bought myself the mini Bissell cleaner from Costco for Christmas. Not sure what I really want that's not super practical... maybe just a day to myself in the house so I can declutter and clean in peace. My toddler has been obsessed with mom lately. I hate leaving the house so I can get alone time. Just wanna stay in sometimes.

Little kids usually love to sleep on a cot on the floor. For quite a few years my youngest boy slept on a bedroll on the floor in our bedroom. We had a 3 bedroom house with 3 kids. Our daughter had her own room, our 2 boys were about 51/2 years apart and they were so horrible to each other. We had them share a room and it would take hours for them to go to sleep. The final straw was when the younger one got up one night ( top bunk) and peed on his brother on the lower bed.
I already bought myself the mini Bissell cleaner from Costco for Christmas.
Not sure what I really want that's not super practical... maybe just a day to myself in the house so I can declutter and clean in peace. My toddler has been obsessed with mom lately.
