  • Welcome back to Patagonia! The last time ‪@BrendanvanSon‬ and I were here it was with ‪@ThomasHeatonPhoto‬ in 2019. Now 4 years later we're back (without T-Fuego). This series will focus on 4 separate videos:
    - 4 Years Later We're Back
    - The NOT so Secret Waterfall
    - Torres del Paine FULL ON
    - Protégé: A Fine Art Nature Outdoor Landscape & Wild-life Photography Story
    Stay tuned, the last one especially is ridiculous. Ridiculously awesome!!
    Big thanks to everyone who joined us for this year's workshop & to BvS for asking me to join once again.
    See you in the next video!!
    Greg

    That Laguna Torre hike is no joke! We camped overnight for ours, you had to stay back. I hung with T-Heat the entire way, but I was exhausted! So much fun, Francis got a killer pic of a tree! Jealous!!!
    Do a Hamburg stairs workshop, I will be there! Cityscapes, back alleys, doors, windows, all that, I love that just as much as a epic sunrise or sunset!

    I wanted to go to bed, but because of the TH-cam-Algorithm I had to watch it now. 😉 The switch between the normal speed of the video and the timelapse was very gentle and cool. Nice pictures, inspiring moments and another really good work. The woodpecker is really cute! Hope, I will see you soon back in Hamburg. Good night from Germany 🙋🏻‍♂️

    Can't wait for the rest of the videos... I just spent 6 weeks (all of March through middle of April) in northern & central Patagonia and I miss it already. Wasn't a photography trip at all -- camping and hiking with my brother and our friend -- so any chance I had to shoot photos was a rush to not hold them up. Went to Puerto Montt area, Chiloe Island, down the Carretera Austral to Cochrane and Chile Chico, back up to Futaleufu, into Argentina through Esquel, Los Alerces, Ruta 40 to Bariloche, then back over to Osorno. From our furthest point south, there was still another 1,200km of road to Punta Arenas and 1,900km to Ushuaia. Really made me understand the sheer scale of the place, considering my 6 weeks felt rushed and that the area is stuffed with incredible scenery.
    Safe to say I feel a need to go back numerous times, and I also really want to see southern Patagonia around Chalten, Torres del Paine, Ushuaia, etc. Indescribably beautiful part of the world... Someone could spend a lifetime photographing the landscapes of the Andes between southern Peru/Bolivia and Ushuaia, and it still wouldn't feel like enough time to truly take it all in. Thanks for sharing your time there.

    • @ZachGroney
      @ZachGroney ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Greg Snell I mean bad is relative considering the area. We were in El Chalten from April 16th to the 22nd. The days we did hike, I guess we got lucky as it was only mostly windy. I got a killer of a shot of that waterfall. I haven't shared it yet as I'm still tweaking it. I look forward to your next video about the waterfall!

    Wasn't the original plan to include Heaton on one trip and James Popsys and you on the second week? Stuff chanes, I suppose with 2 lost years because of the plague. Those would have been classic trips. Isn't the "secret" waterfall where you ran into Elia Locardi and the Fstoppers gang. That was funny. Carry on! 👍🥂

    • @gregorsnell
      @gregorsnell  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@luisfaustino for vlogging it's easy though 'cause the 24mm is too tight at arms length, even with long arms. The 20mm is just wide enough & in my opinion 16 is ideal.
