Yeah I loved playing this as a kid. One of the workers at my old game store hosted his own speedball tournaments on a Thursday night and we loved it.

I used to not have internet at my house, so Id load this game up from Kongregate on my school laptop before I left school, and Id be able to play it offline. I learned all the in and outs of the game and would play career mode until all my players were the absolute best. Still to this day is one of my favorite sports games ever.
This was basically Speedball 2 but flash edition. And to have all of this in a flash game was remarkable. Imagine a developer bringing this back to for steam
The second I saw the gameplay I immediately thought of Speedball 2, was shocked when he said flash game instead of Gameboy!

It's a remake of Speedball by the Bitmap Brothers. Which was amazing, but it originally came out in the Commodore 64 era.

So it's an updated browser based version of "Speedball 2" on 8 & 16 bit computers and consoles. Looks like fun.

We could charge the disc instead of shooting just set it free, if any opposing team player picked it up it would detonate! Reseting the disc in middle of map
There were powerups an items on the maps as well

Kofie did you ever play NBA Jam On Fire Edition? 2011 XBLA/PSN port of the failed NBA Jam 2010 reboot on Wii. Probably the best $15 I've ever spent. Finally beat it on Platinum this past month.
It's a clone of Speedball on Amiga/DOS, etc.
