I mean, I heared the phrase "If I had a nickel" or something like that before, but as an european, I can't link it to anything.

Just binged a whole bunch of episodes and it's really a testament to the research team when you see when a guest really appreciates a question. They bring up some obscure project or factoid and you see the guest just light up.

I couldn’t agree more! I believe this was actually my favorite Hot Ones episode. My wife and I just finished Uncoupled on Netflix as well and we can’t wait for season 2! Highly recommend it

You cant tell people that once they lean on God all their troubles and pain will just vanish no. They may even get amplified because the faithful will be tested harder. The system that is in place applies to all physical beings the same we bleed we cry we get hurt some even lose their minds none of us are immune beyond what protection the almighty is providing us with the rest is up to us
The way you guys tie the music to the 'spice level' experienced by the guest to really elevate the mood and convey the experience is so impressive. Love the show

My favorite part is how some guests just get wrapped up in the experience they forget they're on a press tour. Then at the end they have a look of pure puzzlement when they're handed the stage.

elizabeth olsen did this and it was sooo funny
I was lucky to meet him in person last year. He his husband and a big group of (non famous) people hang out all together during his vacations. Guy is really humble and extremely funny. Very polite and never acts like a prima dona that is all about the fame.
The fact that he paraphrase quotes Madeline Kahn in Clue is epic. NPH is a national treasure.
You could tell from his eyes that Neil was really feeling the heat the last few wings, but he remained perpetually composed, polite, kind and respectful as always!

I love that NPH referenced Madeline Kahn from Clue, one of my favourite moments in the movie. You could tell Madeline was totally riffing in that moment, and being so iconically her at the same time. Well done NPH :)

I always love to see the guest kind of thrown off guard by Sean's "Let the people know what you have going on in your life."
You can tell that they're not even thinking about plugging what they're there to promote anymore - the experience they just had with Sean was so personal, so transformative, that promoting something might just sour the whole thing.
I think they're more distracted by their faces burning that they've just lost the thread on what they're supposed to be there plugging. Lol.

His performance as Barney Stinson is one of the most iconic roles I've ever seen, he's such an amazing actor and charismatic person, so happy he gets the spotlight he deserves!

NPH. What a guy. I've been watching him since Doogie. Always been incredibly entertaining and most importantly, down to Earth. He genuinely seems grateful for what he has in life and it's refreshing for someone who is as super famous as he has been for decades.
The magic at the end was truly a cherry on top this season
It’s crazy to feel like I grew up and older with Neil. I remember him being Doogie and now he is a dad and closer to 50 like me. Time is weird.

One thing I appreciate about Neil is that here in this interview, it doesn't feel like I'm watching a "celebrity". He seems so down to earth, humble, just being himself, not a wacky zany version of himself trying to entertain. He most certainly is a celebrity, a legen... wait for it... dary one at that. But he doesn't give off "I'm famous look at me" vibes. He was so pleasant all throughout, and made it so pleasant to watch. Thank you Neil! Thank you Sean!
As someone who cannot stand eating noises i have to credit the audio team of this show of how they’ve managed to keep out all the nasty eating noises without anyone noticing at all. Fan since the first episode and not once had i felt like i need to not watch with headphones on. Cheers!

As someone who suffers from severe misophonia I concur. I've had to stop watching a couple episodes, Neil Degrasse Tyson being the worst by far. For the most part, It's manageable. Great episode

Barney stinson was basically our friend groups mentor (boys in puberty amirite?) the writers and harris outdid themselves almost every episode

Count Olaf is supposed to be terrifying in the books, and NPH can't pull that off.
Not his fault the character was written that way in the series, but I honestly think he could never portray an accurate portrayal of the Count

I love how this show almost forces the celebs to be their real, authentic selves rather than the mask of who they are during regular interviews. It helps the audience to get to know them on a more personal level. It's an interview unlike any other. Brilliant :)
I think Sean explained that somewhere in the first few seasons. People tend to have to think of their facades or little lies. But the pain of the hot sauce completely breaks their typical focus and are more willing to give real details
Neil has always seemed authentic - to me - but true regardless. ☺️

@david spiral that’s so cool dude how is it interviewing celebs. I want to make a channel where celebs can be themselves and answer personal questions without being judge because their life is on display but there’s a lot we can learn from what they know and how they came up. Love it!
@@bambamxdrip1933 I co-host a show called the Reality Escape Pod. We interview creators of all sorts of immersive games, puzzles, and escape rooms.
NPH is by far the most famous guest we've had on. He made a game called Box One, so we explored that with him.
Most of our guests tend to be very skilled, but only known within their niche.
I love interviewing people, and putting in the work to prompt them with questions that help them feel comfortable and open up about the things they are great at.
