Interesting. I tried to get my bumper cover off a few years ago, and removed the rivets on the ends, and the 10 torx screws that hold the cover to the bumper support. I could not release the cover from the bumper support in the center and was planning to cut the three 1" wide plastic tabs. I never did and the car has sat unused. I was unaware of the two long bolts. Now that I look back at the Volvo R&R procedure, I see the two bolts shown but they must have thought it was obvious and the was no instruction to remove them. And in the parts diagram, these bolts (item 10) are shown above the bumper, not below - so it wasn't clear they even exist. Doh! Thanks. You are the only one who has posted anything on this for the S70.
Those rivets that hold the bumper to the fender liner, were they reusable or did u need new ones when u went to install the new bumper. Thanks for the vid !
I needed new ones and went with Volvo similar rivets on eBay, link: www.ebay.com/itm/254260128708 and the Volvo part numbers would be 979878, 6848382, 981863. I hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
