That Supercharger whine is pure eargasm 🔥
Igot one Even faster just so you know😊bye iT👍
The exhaust sounds gorgeous
Thank you, it was a decent exhaust but was too loud for my taste and had an inconsistent diameter. I made a new, better one and will be posting a new 0-200 video this summer.
I am a person who rides r53 in Korea I also do eco-mapping with similar horsepower and the heat of the Altar Absorber Altapuli Remus Exhaust Large-capacity Intercooler is 7 ignition plugs, and as in this video, the car is slow as soon as the 5th gear goes in at 180km, so why? If you've solved it, please tell me how
Nice shifting. Is it stock clutch?
Thank you very much, the clutch has been changed by the previous owner if I am not mistaken, but I do think it is a stock Valeo clutch.
Dude nice video! Theres a mini s for sale near in my town thinking about looking at it, any clues or ideas where to look and what in the mini cooper s? It looks like a R53 manual, 04-06 models I haven’t asked what year yet but i might look at it if you can give me some clues on what to look for when trying to buy one? Has around 100k miles! Thanks
Look up on the web for the list of known problems, the sweet thing about these cars is that everything that is bound to break is documented, there are rarely random parts wearing out. It's easy to get ahead of the curve on maintenance.
And when buying one, make sure there isn't any paint bubbling around the gas cap, tail lights and trunk handle. These are the known spots that tend to rust. Also check under the door seals where the seam is and under the carpet where the accelerator pedal bracket is located.
Something weird going on with your car past 180. Mine accelerates faster past 180KPH and it only had a 15% pulley and an Airtech intercooler.
Yeah I had a weird exhaust setup that started in 2.25" and ended in 3", also have a bad weld on the header messing with the air flow. I redid my exhaust to a constant 2.25" but I still have the weld to fix. Just with a constant diameter exhaust piping the car feels much more alive at higher speeds.
@@ianblanchet5500 2.5 Inch from start to finsh is the best option trust me.
your consumption after the mods?
About 12.6L/100km, but I keep it around 3000 RPM when off the highways since it tends to heat soak or adjust timing and fuel in a way that is detrimental to power. I also step more on the gas quite often.

Hello, I made a comparison with my 170 hp open air filter vehicle. While your vehicle accelerates very well at low speeds, it accelerates very slowly after 160 km. My car's acceleration performance at low speeds is not very good compared to yours, but it performs better at high speeds. What is the reason ?
I was missing the piece that feeds fresh air to the airbox and I had a bad exhaust setup
@@ianblanchet5500how is it called?
@@n3hyper326It's the snorkel I believe
As i see your fuel vacuum line is off.
If you have 200 hp it must go faster over 200 kmh
No, it was missing parts and had a botched exhaust. Was also not using any octane booster to help with the massive heat soaking issue of these cars (91 AKI isn't enough apparently). All has been fixed and the cars stays consistent after 160 km/h.
This is slow af for 200bhp in a mini....
40sec 0-200kph?????
The car had an incorrect setup when I did this run. Missing parts and "botched" custom ones. I worked on it this summer and redid a run and it doesn't stall at 160 km/h anymore. Also began to regularly use octane booster which helped a lot with timing retard due to heat soaking.
100/200 in 30 second.
My r53 gp (stock) dyno test :204 hp 100/200 in 17 secondi
Yes my old exhaust was not ideal for flow (tubing too big). I made a new one which helped a lot with torque. I was (and still am) missing my fresh air inlet which I will be putting back on when I have the chance.
Will make a new 0-200 video this summer.
@Ian Blanchet what's the ideal piping size?
