This is also the most durable iphone because of the thicker casing. Also the first one (plus) with OIS which is still great until now.

It’s not even a challenge for my family, until the 15 came out, almost all of us had the 6s/6s plus at one point in the last year. The 15 is first iPhone I’ve really wanted in a long time. Never really liked the rounded edges, but I definitely got tons and tons of use out of it.
Went from 8 to pro max. Wildly different. It’s the only way to really get the experience there used to be every year cause they don’t change much now.
Damn, this was my first iPhone when I moved from my galaxy s5 back then. The 6S was such a masterpiece of tech, I loved it so much.

My dad had an iPhone 6s Plus for 1-2 years until he got an iPhone 8 Plus. I think he should've kept it way longer because he got an iPhone 13 in 2022. That's how long the 6s got software updates.
I am watching this on my 6s plus because of the native 16:9 screen and the pixel density is still high so video consumption is still great even if it is not amoled. It is also not frustratingly slow on the last iOS version (just make sure that you replace the battery because the A9 is so sensitive to older batteries and tend to throttle a lot when the battery voltage got low).
I stayed on ios 12 - is the later software worth considering, would you say? (browsing and music mainly for me)

I loved the Music app between iOS 8.4 and 9.x ! That was one of the reasons why I kept my 5S on iOS 9 for two years xD
Btw, I was a big fan of the "wave" wallpaper during the betas, I don't know why they didn't keep it in settings for the release
Oh, someone pointed out that iPhone 5S running iOS 7 can no longer update to iOS 10.3.3 via OTA, I wonder why it still is signed ? I checked myself and yes, no more sneaky OTA update downloaded when plugged with wifi connection on iOS 7.1.2 iPhone 5S.
I like the older iOS 8.3 music app icon better. I wish they kept the wave wallpaper in settings too!
The current Apple Music app sucks. It’s such a hassle just to shuffle your playlist.
I used the 6s+ up until 2022. I really wish I still had it on iOS 9, because when I finally upgraded it was basically unusable. Apple made it so absurdly slow and it barely lasted 6 hours even with a brand new battery reporting 100% health in settings. I really really wish they didn't remove all the cool features with iOS updates, the rotating home screen, 3d touch, the old control center, slide to unlock... it was such an amazing phone.
Yeah I understand. BUT.. I also honestly love the new iPhones.
For me, the iPhone 4 will always hold a special place in my heart because I got it as my mom’s old phone and took it around places I went using it to take pictures. I had a green case for it and a green cable, and it’s still in pretty good condition.
Right now, I have an iPhone 14 Pro, and while not as nostalgic as the old iPhones, it’s freaking buttery smooth, and that’s something that I absolutely LOVE.
Although, I do miss the rounded corners.
Fun fact, someone did a speed test with ios9 vs iOS 14 and it was the same speed.
@carstuff4u942 someone did a speed test with the iphone 5 and iphone 15 I know there was a TH-camr that legit compared all the iphones with a speed test ( I might be wrong on the iphone but was a old iphone )
A lot of students at my University have iPhone 6 and 6s series devices. Even the grocery shop cashier near my house has a 6s and it still supports most current apps!

I also really wanted the 6s when it came out, and I later did end up getting one in late 2017 which was on iOS 11, which it still is today
I remember using the old Siri layout from iOS 9-10 on my old iPad 4 when I was younger. That layout gives me so much nostalgia… and I remember having to plug in my iPad to the charger in order to get Hey Siri to work, and also the fact that my iPad was the first iPad to come with a lightning chatger… and I also remember when my dad broke his iPhone 6 and had to get a gold replacement phone which he hated that color 🤣

Used my mom's old 6 Plus as a non-stop mobile hotspot tethering device during our recent 5-day trip to Taiwan, held up pretty well with a new battery installed. Was supposed to bring my sister's firs gen SE (6S hardware) new screen and battery) but it drains faster than the 6 Plus.
Love these old iPhones, hope I could still keep my current 13 Pro if I ever get a new iPhone next year.
The signal bar brings back the memories mannn 😭😭😭😭. Damn I miss my Rose Gold 6S. 3D Touch are the best apple invention so far. Interaction in the iOS feels unique with addition of taptic engine. I believe it is the first taptic engine device. 😢

On a factory reset, with a new battery, it still does good for light to moderate gaming. I still use the 6s plus and 8 plus for gaming. The 6s-8plus were some of the best gaming phones from apple. No dumb home swipe gesture
You might want the SE for better performance.
Used my regular 6s until the end of 2019 when I got an 11 Pro, was still a solid phone using newest updates at the time but performance and battery suffered with the 74-76% battery health. I miss that thing, charge port became extremely iffy not really sure why but someone still paid me $45 for it lol
I’ve been an iPhone user since the 3G launched…but the 6 plus was special. It was the first and only IPhone that I waited 7 hours in line for. Finally having a plus sized bigger screen iPhone back in the day was a treat….even if it was painfully late to the party.
I’m Using 6sPlus, works great. Going to put in new Battery and keep using. Will buy aSE4 when it arrives
I have an iPad 2 that was on iOS 9.3.5 (The last version it supported) It's a shame it ran so slow on there because I think it looks really nice. I had to downgrade it to 6.1.3 if I wanted usable performance.

Man, I got this phone a week after it came out for my birthday. I loved it. I wish I still had it, I had to trade it in to upgrade to the iPhone 7. One of my coworkers still has the 6S, and they love it.

This was my favorite iPhone. This was the last one to to have a dedicated headphone port! Also, the 3D touch enhanced the user experience, and the Touch ID was perfect. I still haven’t adjusted to a cell phone with no headphone jack, and I find Face ID to be be inconsistent and not ideal for me (not to mention creepy! Lol).
6s was the best. Wish Apple would release some legacy edition of this
You should get the iPad 9th generation if you love the iPhone 6s. Yes it’s 2 years old but it has Touch ID and the headphone jack

I have a iPhone 4s on iOS 9 and man, it’s very nostalgic! Although the battery on this device is dead, like literally! When I play a game on this device the battery drops while charging, lol!

I had an iPhone 6 up until 2022. But yes it was getting hard to use daily. Most of the apps worked. Twitter did not work. The battery was horrendous. It lasted about an hour once you started using apps.

All apps Fine for me but I wouldn't recommend it in terms of battery performance. Choose wisely.
@@jadmansour If you update the phone to IOS 15.8 99% of apps will work. The primary exceptions are all Microsoft apps and a few banking apps. I don't own a 6s, rather a 7, but it's stuck on the same software version.

Oh wow, the the 6S plus was literally my third iPhone and easily. My favourite of the free iPhones I had had at that point it was blazing fast and oh my God did it embarrass Samsung and pretty much every android flagship at the time it went undefeated for more than a year in phone, buff‘s speed test and 3-D touch was such an underrated feature, but to be honest I didn’t really use it much but it was cool to have and I wish they had kept it with future. iPhones.

i do not have a 6s but I do have the first iPhone SE: same Apple A9 chipset! It still runs on iOS 15.7 and also, albeit badly, runs Genshin Impact.
as for the random reboot, this also happens to me on my old iPhone and my old iPad and this is just a theory but maybe tiktok doesnt work because of the jailbreak, e.g. I cant open up Supercell games (Clash of Clans and co) when my device is in a jailbroken state but can open them when I am not jailbroken

TikTok works on iOS 9 for me by the way. But my device is 32-bit so maybe that's why? iPad 3, iOS 9.3.6. Also TikTok maintained iOS 9 compatibility up until some time last year so it's a modern version of the app.

There’s a solution to the old Twitter app to let you sign in in that particular version, just delete the app, redownload, turn off any internet connection, click reset password, type your username, and turn on the internet and make a new password and then log in.
The only downside is that you have to relogin to most of your devices logged in when you log in through the forgot password method

Great video. I love older iPhones. They have more personality, and (my POV) theyre BETTER. This one has the headphone jack, and I think that was one of apples biggest mistake....taking the headphone jack away.

I wish I would’ve had a 6 series iPhone lol. I never could get an iPhone till 2019 because my parents were anti Apple and still are lol. I was at Verizon about a year ago and there was an older lady who brought in a 6 or 6+ whatever and wanted to get it activated they told her it was too old to activate on their system because something about the servers that 911 uses now can’t track something that old so they would not activate it for her and told her it had to be a 7 or newer. I think they were just trying to sell her a new phone. They told someone else a similar story when they tried to activate a phone for their kid. So who knows if that’s true. I don’t see why it could not be. It’s 4G I believe so no issues there. The only things I miss from older phones is a headphone jack, home button and power button on top instead of on the side. I hate it on the side lol.

Loved iOS 9 on my 6s. I remember getting a gold 64GB 6s to replace my 16GB iPhone 6 that was completely out of storage. iOS 9 absolutely FLYS on the a9 chip. Anything else not so much 😂😂😂

My phone works great and the best part is that they are no more updates 😅so no more with updates every single month or week I have never care about 17 iOS updates so I’m really okay with this one time 😅so it won’t bother me just as long as my apps continue to work I’m go for it
