I just wanna say thank you for continuing to post these videos Dan. My friend and I recently started playing Warcry and your videos have really helped me start to understand how to build a list and what to pick up and play. I have been a fan of Warhammer for years, but this has made me actually get out and play.
A big thank you for all the information, insights and out of the box thinking you give in your videos. It helped me to improve my gameplay alot. As a casual player, aiming to play in some local tournaments in the near future, I am a bit overwhelmed about what to pick for a more competitive and well rounded list and what to keep in mind while building it. It would be incredibly helpful for alot of players if you could maybe do a video in which you build a list from scratch, give your thoughts about what and why you include certain things and the playstyle you are aiming for. I know that this is asked a lot, especially with all the variations like "pure", "no oop UW", casual/competitive etc. in mind, but maybe you find the time and energy sometime in the future. Thank you.
I agree about my list that not everything needs the saurus pal allied in, but slann x saurus is such a solid duo to bring into most lists in order that have good chaff. The teleport is always a threat but after 5 games I still havent used it haha. The 2" range was the primary factor in deciding on the alpha guard over some of the usually more popular saurus foot hero options. Tearing bite just gives you the ability to pretend you have a mini titan in the list without paying the premium for it

I think your "B-" tier feels like where a lot of faction die-hard hipsters sit, which is also why tournament winners can be there. They KNOW the faction in and out and if there's a favorable tournament pack, they're probably gonna deliver.
Hey Dan, you are talking about finding the perfect Lumineth list, here it is: 1 x High Sentinel 14 x Auralan Wardens 1000 points, 15 models, full Warhammer Fantasy regiment You are welcome. (this is of course a joke list, but I'm gonna try it someday)
I've been trying to get into Wildcorps but I cannot seem to figure them out. Any tricks from the group? Also, is there an American Discord server to try and play over tabletop simulator like our boys across the pond have?
I think Boggleyes, Boingrot Bosses, and their ally choices are all good. If you bring in scary ogors and other friends to do your damage, GSG can focus on what they do, which is fly around and throw nets on things.
@@thesaltyseagames it's possible my perception of them has been warped by two of the four people in my playgroup running Seraphon and KO, so goblin chaff don't exist long enough to do much - I have enjoyed damage buffed bounder boss, but they're pretty expensive - 6 wound goblins don't feel great at 55 points - especially when Kruleboyz gets them for 45 😅
I think the coming elimination of Bonesplitterz is going to be a bigger loss for Warcry than for AoS. It's not a controversial claim to suggest that most games of Warcry are some definition of "casual," and the naked orcs were perfect for that. One box could build you a zillion functional lists; they're easy to pick up and play, as every unit has a clear job; they're thematically appropriate to the style and setting; they're great for narrative campaigns; and they're just plain fun. That sort of accessibility and entertainment is better for a game's long-term well-being than fine-tuned tournament factions or shiny new models. Man, Bladelords. In AoS, they're the elfiest of elf units: They're pretty good all-around; they can fulfill any one of several different roles, but you must give them a focus and not make a mistake; and they're just a little points-expensive. In Warcry, they're generally crummy, and _way_ too expensive. It's just part of a larger frustrating disappointment with a relatively easy fix. _(Edited for length.)_
YES! A fellow lover of the naked boys! They are such an easy faction to make lists with super solid fundamentals that make for super fun games. Love me a charge into attack/attack with a big stabba
I do not fully understand the charm of Vexmore. Vexmore has a very swingy profile. A blessed Vexmore without onslaught still has an 11% chance of whiffing. However if you are lucky you do 20 dmg. Because the damage and strength look so cool lots of people take Vexmore and he will have a high impact. When played a lot there will be one person who is statistically lucky and has an overperforming Vexmore.

11 fighters, some shooting, the big hulk. I think that's a good spot to be. This is exactly what I meant by a COS list that was decent before but really couldn't beat the old swarm stuff that all got nerfed. It might have serious new life now.

It's going to be interesting to see how much the meta changed just from the eventual squatting of BoC and Marauders
This was analysis gold the whole time, all the way through to the warband size finish!
Thank you! Glad it was helpful.

Yo sometimes those 15 model joke lists work decently well just by overwhelming the enemy. If I had more than 5 Wardens I might try it.
The quote about models being wrong/useful is from George Box, but we overuse it here in my work.

Thanks for the shoutout! FWIW I would probably swap two skinks for a wounds blessed raptadon if I had the model.
Good to know! Good luck finishing out the league.
You mention you brewing with the Flameseeker here and there, is there a place to some of those thoughts, or is that nothing for the public eye yet?
I want to do a flameseeker video some time.
@@thesaltyseagames That would be awesome, i adore that faction and would love to hear your in depth thoughts on them
@@heinzd5502 I'm currently playing a local league with them, and will do the video after that's done.
New to warcry and working with my AOS sylvaneth models right now. They are definitely hard to wrap your brain around. What has your experience been?
I like to focus on Kurnoths and revenants. Just some big dummies who fight and don't think, and then some little guys who think and don't fight.
What do you think is good in Gloomspite? I agree they're better than some other factions, but seeing them up next to Seraphon surprised me 😅

I love the Wildercorps asthetic but game play (crossbow list) proved tasteless for me :/ Back to the Untamed it is😂
maybe the doggy build is for you? The doggy build is pretty competitive even if it's not quite as busted as the crossbow plan.
You know who is playing 20 on one warband. ;)
The p isn't pronounced in wildercorpse. It's wildercore.
