Great video.Great analysis, great delivery. (How did I miss the Patreon discussion? I agree that there are really x3). Three points. 1) I continue to believe there's an A-tier Darkoath Savagers list. The leader does work, the chaff is decent and Visions of Glory should be able to power both initiative control and some choice abilities. But I haven't cracked it yet - I think it needs an ally with a way to ensure a double six and a double five on turn 1 for Visions of Glory. 2) Khorne Bloodhound. I've been playing them and following them since compendium came out. They get no respect, but more importantly, no one talks about how they've gone, in tier lists, from below the mid-mark, to mid-marked, to... you (and others) have them as the 15th best warband in the game!!! Is this just warbands above them getting nerfed and pushing them up the rankings? 3) What happened to Horns of Hashut!?! They were S-tier and winning tourneys but the nerfs to Shatterers and the points increase on flame hurlers have dropped them to below mid C-tier and the tournament basement?!?

These videos are always a real pleasure to watch. It's like Warcry for intellectuals! It makes me kinda sad that we don´t have a really competitive scene in Sweden, some of those list are just terrifying. Except the Monstakillaz one where you are egged each time you move that’s just terrifyingly funny!

Great video as always. Stormcast reminds me of the Deathwing list from 1-2 editions ago. As far as I remember, that list had like a 52% winrate and none of the really competitive people ran it, but that list gatekept the meta so hard because it absolutely murdered underperforming armies/lists.

We've played some games with Pirate Pack this weekend and it was great. Is there anything similar for 4-players?

I don't expect it, but it would be very cool to have a"finale" box that explicitly closed one season and opened the next. I'm curious to see the Warcry version of Killteam's Ashes of Faith box where you get high-impact build options instead of terrain. I think Spiderfang is right on the money for a Gloomspite team. For Ghur I'd guess that might be some burlier grots on Segmapedes but if it does end up being coastal then water striders would make for a very cool regional variant.

Could you please go into detail about the Krule Kontrol list? That ones making me want to leave 40k and start playing Warcry.

There's always one or two books in these annual videos that appeals to me, so I appreciate the list. The only Black Library book I've read so far was the Catacombs novel which wasn't horrible, but made me laugh out loud when there was a big fight on ruins perfectly described as what comes in the Warcry box. That and so many popped eyeballs sliding down peoples' cheeks, I feel like it happened like four times. Deadhouse Gates, the second Malazan book, is in my opinion much better than Gardens of the Moon.

I absolutely LOVE Toast’s content, but when looking at both his, and Off-Meta’s tier lists, people need to be aware that they now presume playing with both Divine Blessings AND Battle Traits. I know both of those optional rules are used in the events and leagues they play in but I’m not sure if that’s true everywhere and some of their top-rated warbands, e.g. Corvus Cabal are MUCH weaker without those rules in place. I would also say that Iron Golems would make good Khorne proxies and Corvus Cabal would make good proxies for Untamed Beasts

Has anyone made a video running through all the spearhead boxes and how good they are as a warcry collection? For example I was just seeing people call the new Ironjawz spearhead box the perfect warcry box, has basically one of everything you'd want. Only maybe lacking a warchanter.

I prefer the One Page Rules sculpts for seraphon proxies but they're all good and especially for the lizards that didn't just get a refresh from GW

100% TRUTH! New Warbands HAVE to feel a bit overpoered to compete with the AoS ones. And just like - KMK, Fyreslayers, Beastflayers, Wildercorps, Soulsworn and even gorgers kind of managed this. If anything they could have needed a smidge more power (Horns where nerfed too hard btw!). And then we got 4 real complete duds in a row! This combined with that we have no starter box really hurts the game. And is kind of strange, both Underworlds, the new AoS sections and the points adjustments show that the development team really knows the game... It´s kind of frustrating really!

I hope the designers look at how we use blessings to make certain fighters like Wielder playable and focus on more useful profiles, as they should have much more data on profiles we are willing to take w small changes.

Oh I am kinda fearful for 3:d and that listbuilding will be eliminated or heavily restricted. I think the should keep that aspect (ok maybe trim a little bit) and streamline other things instead. I think blessings should be dropped completly and possibly replaced with a few artifacts or little helpers. The setup is crazily overcomplex and could be made much quicker. And actually kinda half of all abilities are useless and should be dropped! I really like the Gnarlwood. If we get a new setting Im hoping for Mordheimesque recently destroyed city with lots of verticality. But something AoS-crazy could be fun too!

I love the Jade Obelisk, but I also only have 2 obelisk bearers (would like 1 more). My preferred ally is the Sphiranx, it ads both speed and control. And feels on theme (the tzeentch esque general ally) Granted your list is probably strictly better but it works: 985pts | 8 fighters - Nephrite Priestess (105pts, Hero) - Mindstealer Sphiranx (260pts, Ally) - Obelisk Bearer (110pts) - Obelisk Bearer (110pts) - Desecrator with Iconoclast Warpick (100pts) - Desecrator with Iconoclast Warpick (100pts) - Desecrator with Iconoclast Warpick (100pts) - Desecrator with Iconoclast Warpick (100pts)

Terrawings are preety surprising and fun for casual play, not often you can move 30" in single round. Only issue is that their dive abi is a triple and so it has to compete with stunt from bolas and claw's carnosaur call. Therefore it is a real option only in first turn, when usually you will be out of range of enemy swings or when you want to bind enemy sniper/high value piece, as you will usually be in 11+ fighters warband you can perform tactical sacrifices to stutter opponents advance. Possibly dropping it to a double or lowering points of Terrawings themselves would open this option for tournament play.

It's great to see you so excited about where competitive is at right now! Yeah, as a Khorne Bloodbound player, I'd like to see the Chaos Hero situation addressed. They nerfed the Chaos Allies but I was tired if seeing the same Fomo and Varanguard allies in every list, just like I'm tired of seeing Vexmor in every list. I want to see in-faction heroes shine (and I think the Battle Trait disparities were a missed opportunity to boost in-faction list-building). +5 points to the Packlord is the perfect answer, btw.

Thanks for once again pointing out how absurd it is that the 4424 100ish points models (often with WARCRY on the actual box) are barely playable (in their "own" game system, too). Perhaps one day GW will even listen.

I'd be much more excited to see buffs/reworks for the weaker factions than nerfs for the strong ones - I'm curious how they could buff mid-range fighters though - the problem with them currently is more an issue with the mechanics of the game than it is about the fighters themselves I think

I kinda disagree about Skaven being a fun opponent. The traditionally bad approaches like putting significant damage on a big guy without killing it aren't suddenly good vs Skaven. They are still bad. It's just that they are least bad thing you can do. Packmaster most definitely needs a cost increase. It's base stats are already efficient for its cost, it has a standout ability, and will come back after it dies. Not being able to breakup the Rogor-Packmaster synergy at its weak link sucks. All in all, it just feels like counterplay opportunities are too marginal vs Skaven. Upping Packmasters cost and preventing it from being rezzed would at least present a workable angle for disruption. As for Blessings: If you're gonna touch them, I'd opt for a more thorough rework. The two different costs for below or above 22 wounds is just too simple and irrelevant a threshold to get a well-balanced rule out of it.

Interesting, I would have tuned down OMDB (2 Vs 3) rather than leader locking it. I'm not sure running order soup out of disposessed just for grudgebearers stacks up for me, unless as you say you do something dramatic to the chaff
