I'm an old wrestling fan..the attitude era was my childhood, but I haven't been able to get into it for a couple years....this channel has definitely reignited my wrestling fever!

Well 1 time a older cousin was on the welcome committee or some crap. Anyway i was young and a HUGE fan. After the show we all went out to and the gentleman came with. After that he ended up coming back to another cousins house and stayed late. I actually got to play wrestle with him on the floor of the den. Idk what he did to anyone else but as for that night he eas a true gentleman and as nice as could be. He gave this young wrestling fan a memory for life. I was sad when i found out hed died. I was at a Battle Royal at the Cow Palace when I was a kid in the early 80s. Mad Dog Vichon, Baron von Raschke, I think I saw Andre the Giant at that one (I had an uncle who worked security there so if there were seats available on the floor he'd let me sit up front and believe me, there were ALWAYS seats up front. This was before Hulkamania so nobody was really paying attention to wrestling anymore. Mad Dog won by hiding under the ring until everybody was thrown over the top, while the "supposed" winner was celebrating his win Mad Dog came out from behind him and threw him out of the ring. Good times.

I knew that it was Pat Patterson who came up with the idea of the Royal Rumble. However, I DIDN'T know that VKM laughed it off BUT Dick Ebersole liked it and helped bring it to market. I remember VKM back in the day would ALWAYS "coincidentally" have a PPV opposite a JCP event. The competition improved the product. Ah the good old days!

I remember when Django came out and this question popped up because of the scene in Candyland where the slaves were fighting each other in the house.Most Black media said this type of entertainment didn't exist because no slave owner would want to have an injured slave. When vince sued turner wcw for using razor and diesel one of the accusations was "unfair competition" by making the fans believe the wwf was behind the hostle takeover. The nWo angle raised the ratings of both shows. Now, if using hall and nash was unfair competition, what is telling a ppv company not to air jcps shows? That doesnt even sound legal to me.
How did they expect to make that "make you get out the cell" thing? Everybody just gives up and climbs the cell? Or more like "Oh no I´ve got thrown out of the fucking ceilling while I was climbing to jump what a bad luck!"
