    Hi, I had that issues on my QRevo MaxV exactly like yours AFTER updating firmware, then I did factory resetting and voila the problem vanished. Pretty sure many will have the same problem after updating firmware, mine works perfectly fine again after doing factory reset.

    Their support is not super knowledgeable. I've had a couple of issues with the S7, and one of the problems was "filter blocked or wet" error towards the end of cleaning - with brand new dustbin filter. They also asked all this additional info (SN, proof of purchase etc.) and as far as I remember they were basically like "well why don't you try lowering the vacuuming intensity". Anyway, I found a solution on TH-cam - apparently there's a little round built-in filter sort of inside the robot, that additionally filters the air before it's expelled from the robot. That thing gets clogged with time and mileage, and you have to use a pencil or a screwdriver or something to just scrape the fluff off that filter. But I had to go to TH-cam for that simple solution.
    And of course when the map goes out of whack mid-clean for some reason and starts imagining some alternate reality where the apartment is shifted a few feet (I don't know what the reason is, just happens sometimes) they just say "remap". But I think "Use backup" in "Manage Maps" might help - they just don't mention making a map backup or trying to restore the map from backup at all.

    My device is the same as yours, and it’s only a month old or less. I bought it on Amazon, and it’s giving me the same LiDAR error, but the technical support is very poor. What did you end up doing with yours?

    My thoughts are to only order from Amazon. At least you can return it in their return window.

      @@JustADad I suggest to make all sorts of tests possible. solid floor, carpet, corners, battery time, water and dirt refil, noise. Thanks.

    I'm pretty sure I saw this reported by someone else on the subreddit, Roborock, unless that was you! This person's lidar on the S8 MaxV was having hardware issues.
    Best of luck... their customer service can be really good but also sometimes very unhelpful at times.

    Same issue and just bought mine TODAY. About to yeet this thing off my roof. Bought it to replace the roomba j9+ which is absolute utter garbage and I may have bought more garbage.

      More just now and got it to work. Didn’t do anything different than I had previously done lol hopefully no more issues because I really don’t want to go back to roomba🥲😂

    I’m going through that right now one email was model and serial number the next email was send us proof of purchase smh I paid to much money for this dam robot to go out in less then 9 months I wish they would send us an email to fill out with everything they need to get the robot replaced, not happy. I got the roborock S8 pro ultra internal error 104 main brush open circuit already did the factory reset worked for a few days now it just goes in circles 🤦🏽‍♂️

    I have the same issues just bought exactly the same machine as yours and not even one month I have the same issue just like yours. So what happened? What did the Roborock say ?

    Maybe switch back to the Dreame X40? While you wait for Roborock to fix that one? I feel like it’s so much better than anything Roborock has put out!

    Dreame is the same way. I’ve had to do the exact same thing with videos, serial number, upload to google drive and yadda yadda yadda.
