@@ragulraj2072 Yes to the part about good career options. But I'd think it'll probably not get the 'same' respect that a top tier MBA grad gets because it's not just the degree that matters but the whole package of what recruiters are getting (MBA grads bring with them a lot of relevant skills that recruiters value). Would you agree with that view?
Hi Sameer , thanks for the video, it was very helpful. I am CMA by profession but I don't have any work experience and I am an undergraduate. I want to know some of your opinions, 1. If there is no financial issue, a masters in abroad or India?? 2. Masters in finance or mim?? Please help me out with these questions!!
I'm doing my bachlor's in commerce from an open university and i want to do further studies in management from france. As i don't have time to have a work exp. of 2 years i would like to pursue MIM. I want to know does my degree from an open university work as a barricade? Please answer my this question its bugging me for a while now. Regards
Many programs will expect a full-time degree as a pre-requisite. However, there may be some that'll be open to any form of degree, irrespective of whether it's a traditional classroom based degree or online / distance education. The best way to validate it would be by reaching out to a few official MiM admission teams and asking them directly. That way you'd be saved the risk of submitting to colleges where you aren't eligible.
The only problem I have about a MiM is that it has a generalist approach rather than a specialized one. So it boils down to that . A generalist approach makes sense when you're during an MBA after your masters, you're more experienced and can use a business degree better. I already have an undergraduate in business administration and though I loved it and learnt alot, I'm still wondering if i should choose a specific topic in business such as analytics and specialise in it. I think then it boils down to who u know, cause MiM from the best colleges open up a lot of doors for a person in terms of careers. But I can't help but feel like specialising in a certain field and then going for a formal business education would be a better decision. This is mainly cause unlike an undergraduate in STEM, I have an undergraduate in business administration - which covers a wide number of topics. I feel like specialisation is better than hopping onto another business degree. What do you guys think??
If you already have an undergrad degree in business, going for an MiM won't help much. And you've pretty much covered the reasons. A couple of options you can consider: - Skip the masters for now, work for a few years and then consider an MBA. - Go for a specialised masters and get into the role/company you want. Don't include an MBA in the equation for now. Think about it after you've got a few years of post MS experience.
Sir please do a video on Comparing the MIM vs MIB vs Masters in Finance courses, and their value in country to country and salaries and job opportunity and eligibility and the recruiters and more..
An amazing and informative video!! Can you please, let us know post career options after pursuing an MIM since most of the colleges in Europe offer MIM programmes? Thanks.
Please make a video comparing a *CEMS MIM +Specialized masters dual degree* and the regular *MBA* Which is better To get a job in MBB, preferably in North America
A great video ✨ I had a question and it would be great if you answer it. If a student of engineering background did MiM immediately after his/her bachelors and then worked in the management/technology sector for say 5-10 years, will it be a good option to do an MBA after an experience for further growth ? Or is it so that an MBA isn’t of much help if you have already done MiM ?
Sir, does MiM make sense after completing chartered accountancy in India? At the age of 26? Waiting for an MBA delays my education abroad which is a concern
Sir, I'm pursuing Economics Hons from DU. Should I apply for MIM? Does MIM accept GRE scores? Because my other option is Masters in Economics which only take GRE
Most masters management programs are becoming more open to accepting both scores (GMAT and GRE). Best to check on their official websites before proceeding. Whether you should pursue an MiM or not, is a personal call you'll need to take based on where you see your career going.
Sir , I would like to do MBA in mass communication or media management can you suggest me good universities or colleges in usa , and did this specialization has future?
Hey Sameer! Quite an informative video! Would appreciate your advice in this one: I have scored 95% in both 10th & 12th, done my B.Tech with 8.1 CGPA. Have a work experience of 2+ years in sales and marketing field. Currently planning to go to Canada for Masters in Supply Chain. Do you recommend MBA or MiM for the above profile?
Canada does not have as many MBA jobs as the United States offers. So it will still be challenging to get a good break. What does make it easier is the fact that getting a work permit will not take up all the effort.
@@MBACrystalBall In that case, wouldn't it be a better option to do a 2 year MS in SCM or PGDM in SCM? Speaking strictly for a job placement point of view?
While not unusual, we've seen experienced candidates choosing an MS degree over MBA. It completely depends on which degree suits your career and personal aspirations.
hey, at 5:42 fees of escp is also around $45k. Also, essec and escp offer optional gap year too. I'm thinking for mim in france and hoping if you could give some info on job prospects after I return to India with 3-4 years of international experience. (from top 3 schools)
The RoI will be the best if you can get a local job in Europe and work for a few years. Beyond that your experience will matter more than your degree. However, if you're forced to get back to India immediately after graduation, most Indian employers might prefer MBA grads from reputed Indian colleges (such as IIMs) over MiM, since the latter isn't a global, mainstream degree yet.
As Many MBA programs in the world require 4-5 years of Work Experience,Is it right to do MiM from Europe and Work for 4 years and then doing an MBA as it gives Global exposure IF SOMEONE CAN AFFORD THE COST OF TWO FOREIGN DEGREES
Hlo sir I'm getting Confused in what is the difference between MiM and msc in management program. Sir you told me they are same but I found some University offering both msc in management and MIM how can it be possible if both are same. Sir I'll be very thankful to you if you help me out
Seems like you took our responses in a literal manner. We mentioned they are 'similar' in many respects, not 'same'. Their focus is different. After looking at the official sites, if you are still confused, better not to go ahead with the application. Wait for a few years and then apply for an MBA where there's no confusion.
MiM is predominantly a European degree, so you'll find most programs there. USA has similar options, but they're packaged as specialised MS programs with different names. We don't have a readymade list to share though.
Sir, your take on the Oxford Brookes University's MSc in Management program? Objective is not to study and come back with a loan on my head. Objective is to immigrate into the UK or any of the other usual suspect countries that Indians want to get into. Either this or coming back to India with enough education pedigree and/or experience to get hired in a relevant role. This University doesn't feature in the FT rankings but is ranked, although not on top, in QS. Please let me know the overall risk involved and any other things to consider that I'm missing out on. Let's say that my profile is competitive enough only for this league of universities and that I cannot score enough in the MBA exams here in India for premier Indian B-Schools.
We're not familiar with it, since (as you rightly mentioned) it doesn't rank high. With international programs, there's always a risk of heading back home with a big loan. Try connecting with current students to learn the good/bad/ugly sides, and then figure out if it's right for you.
Thank you for your video! I was hoping you could give me some advice. I completed a Bachelor's in Communication Studies, and since I'm not interested in an MBA i was looking into doing an MiM from Singapore Management University. Would you happen to know what the quality of education + job prospects are like there?
MiM has largely seen better acceptance in Europe, so others don't get as much buzz around them. If you aren't sure about it, best to wait for a few years and then go for a regular MBA.
Sir, I got 8.06 GPA in my mechanical engineering degree in bachelors. I have 6 month internship experience. I completed my bachelor's in 2020. I want to do MIM from USA. (as MBA is too expensive). But sir, since it is non STEM, will I get a job in USA? A lot of Americans do management degrees, so will I get a job in USA? I am an Indian. I have interest in MBA. I have no interest in STEM fields now. If I wont get OPT extension in MIM, that would be risky. And employers wont give me job too.
Your concerns are justified. It is a risky proposition to go abroad with very little work experience to bank upon. If you aren't sure, better to wait and build your profile first rather than rushing into something with no guarantees.
I can't find a MIM degree which is a 'STEM course' in U.S.A.Can you suggest any course which is similar to MIM and STEM.I just graduated and I'm planning for spring intake.
I am finisching a bachelor in chemistry in germany. I am think of pursuing a MiM a TUM. What i want to know who important are social skills in the job ? I would say I am average.
An international program would push your social skills to the limit, since there's a lot of collaborative learning and networking. So it's important to develop them.
Sir, If i am interested in marketing/sales/ business development , should i approach toward mim and specialise in the same but at the same time get holistic approach or take masters in the feild i want to pursue?
For marketing roles, it's better to have some experience and then go for an MBA (instead of MiM). The pre-MBA experience will help you while job hunting.
Sir I was planning to go for the MIM program next year but now due to the COVID19 pandemic the kind of situation that is created in Europe, is it going to harm the number of students Europian universities take in next year, also are further job prospects at risk? Please help me make the right decision either I should go for it next year i.e 2021 or 2022.
Your concerns are justified. It's expected to get tougher for students who're graduating in the midst of a global recession. In such a situation, those who have proven skills and experience to highlight will have an edge over others who just have degrees. Our recommendation is always to go for a management degree after getting a few years of work experience.
i thinking of joining in a mim university is it better to give gmat or gre as the university stated gre/gmat is not required but i want to increase my chance for selection
If a program specifically says they don't require a test score, then sharing one may not make much of a difference. But you also should be careful about programs that make it too easy to join.
I had experience of 7 years but I don’t have budget for mba . What should I do ? MIM or MBA Executive. Even I don’t have good past educational records. But I had a good experience with good MNC companies.
It's too late for MiM. MBA will fit better. Most students fund their international masters / MBA degree using a combination of savings, loans and scholarships. We have a separate video on how to get scholarships.
Hello, in MiM applications, is only the cumulative / overall GPA considered or specific semester wise grades are looked into as well? If a potential applicant meets the overall GPA requirement, but has a declining trend in semester grades, can that be a cause of concern? Would be highly grateful if you could clarify on this, thanks!
The MiM admissions process will expect transcripts of all semesters, in addition to the overall grade. If there's any anomaly across the years, that could raise some questions. If you can answer those, then you have nothing to worry about.
@@MBACrystalBall Thank you for the reply. Can it be a reasonable explanation that the candidate was more focused towards another professional qualification like CA whilst the declining trend was there? Also, can an upward trend in the final semester help mitigate some of the concerns from the previous semesters? Please clarify on this too, if possible. Thank you!
@@MBACrystalBall I was asking on behalf of my son. He's in his final year of under graduation, and doing CA currently. Will be starting his ca articleship this year.
Many CAs who work with us, apply to regular international MBA programs after getting some work experience. That can help mitigate low undergrad grades to some extent.
I have a doubt regarding my choices My question is not regarding the difference. But it is more inclined towards my eligibility for mim . I want to move into the business side with analytics as another domain. So i found few mim courses that are suitable in that respect. But i am a 2020 passout with 14 months of work experience. I will be taking admission next year so i would turn 26 by the time I start my curriculum over there. Now considered all these do you think it's advisable to do mim taking job opportunities in mind too ?
MiM won't be a good fit since you'd have over 3 years experience by the time you start. Better to start exploring mainstream MBA options and build your profile for it.
@@MBACrystalBall I will complete 2 years of work exp by next year January. mba abroad would be too costly. And i wanted to move out to start a career there
Most programs start in Fall (ie around Sep). So you'll have 2.9 yrs of experience, right? Make sure you talk to current MiM students and alumni to see how many have over 2 years experience in the class and how they fared after graduating.
I am an Indian graduate. Now, I am thinking about doing MIM in Ireland or UK at marketing or strategy. Not I know that it would cost about 25L for a 1 year degree. I can afford that 25L but it would be ridiculous if I pay that amount of money and then not get a job there, right? What good it would be spending all that money just to come here in India and work for 25k month? Although I would really love to go abroad and work there! What should I do? I have part-time work experience.
You're right, Abhinaba. It sure is a lot of money. And there are no guarantees that you'll get a job abroad either, when you have nothing else to offer beyond a degree. It's best to gain some experience first and build some solid and practical skills that employers value. Then think about whether you need another degree.
Hi sir I have one question, for which I couldn't get appropriate answer from 3 top abroad education consultants. I have completed my b.tech in 2017(completed 4years without degree), but because of backlogs I couldn't complete it. But doing MBA abroad is my dream. Hence I applied for distance BA degree from recognised university in 2018, which I will surely Complete it by 2020 December. Also I started working in sales department immediately after I came out of engineering college. Now, considering my gap in education and degree being correspondence, will I get admission in good MBA/MIM college abroad.? If yes what impact will my gap years and distance degree have on my career in future.? Awaiting your response. Thanks in advance.
Those consultants couldn't answer it because nobody apart from the admissions committee can take a call on this. So, instead of trying to get answers from education consultants, reach out directly to some MBA / MiM programs and find out if they'd encourage you to apply.
@@MBACrystalBall Hi sir thanks for your response. I have contacted universities directly with this query. Where in HEC PARIS has positively responded and asked me to apply and am awaiting reply from other universities

sir i have a question regarding same......... 10th- 6.8 cgpa 12th- 88% under graduate- 5.86 cgpa from hansraj college, university of delhi. extra curriculum - i was leading my fashion society as a president in hans raj college and i have done 20+ shows in national and interstate competition. work experience- as a project manager in fashion industry for 1.5 years. * i want to study in abroad like london business school or top B Schools in Canada ,UK, US. * which course is good for me MBA & MIM? * Should i apply in London business school?
MiM works well when you start the program will under 2 years of experience. Since you already have 1.5 years experience, you'll be on the threshold. If you have the patience, we'd recommend working for a couple of years and then going for a mainstream MBA (such as LBS). That'll give you global recognition compared to an MiM.
Hello sir. I was looking forward to do MIM n Germany. Which specialization would be better?. Finance and accounting / transport and logistics / or data managemnet?.

Others can't tell you what's good for you, as they have no real understanding of your interests, aptitude and long-term career goals. You'll have to take that call independently based on your research (including videos like this one). Also talk to current students to find out what's good and what isn't about such programs. You'll have lesser surprises later.
Hello Sameer, I would like to take your advice on how I should proceed with my post graduate plans. Let me tell you a bit about my academic background 10th- 88% 12th- 68%(science) Graduation- 7.35 CGPA in BBA I graduated just this year and started working as a management trainee from July onwards but due to some health issues i had to leave the job for a few months. I have 4 months work experience if it counts as anything, but i would be well enough to continue working from January onwards. I was considering MIM that starts in September 2020 or January 2021 at most. My reasoning for choosing an mim is that i want to do an PhD in the future and i believe that if i do an MBA it would be wasting time as well as money when my main goal is to do an PhD. What do you think should be my approach towards this. And i am preparing for gmat along with a few Indian exams and am hoping to get 650+ score. What is your outlook for this. Thanks RSM
Hi RSM, good to see that you have clarity on what you want to do. MiM programs don't ask for experience, so the 4 months + break wouldn't be a deal breaker. A score of 650 would be quite low, if you are targeting a good score. Also make sure you read up more about PhD, since a lot of aspirants underestimate the effort and commitment required for it.
Thanks Sameer, I will research and then only proceed towards PhD, and I will try to better my score i guess, if I dont start working and leave this job entirely would that be a deal breaker? If I focused on GMAT and application from now on, and apply by march deadlines. Would that work, doing nothing for this whole time ?
Many top colleges seem to take only those students who are from business, economic or mathematics background, what to do if I am a mass communication students.
You're right that the numbers of applicants are higher from those fields. But it's also more difficult for them to differentiate themselves. Applicants from under-represented fields also get in, but they have to highlight all the traits that make them unique and competitive. Takes a little more effort to get there. So don't give up hope.
Sir I want to make my career in marketing so what should I do MiM or a specialised program in msc in marketing management And sir why fees of mim is more than msc in marketing is mim more premium and good than msc
Hello Sir this video waived my Confusions and best part of my collection. I'm interested in finance Like Mfin also Is GMAT is compulsory for MiM or Mfin ??
I've recently completed my graduation (bcom) and I'm a fresher. I want to get into management. Which would be better option(in terms of ROI) for better career n lifestyle ? .. preparing for CAT n other exams and try to get into IIM and other top B-schools in India ? or preparing for ielts, gmat etc and try to get into better University for MIM Abroad ? .. My academics : class 10-7.8 cgpa , class 12-65% and bcom -6.5 score and which would be more easier to get into ?
The underlying rationale remains the same, right? Which one gives you a better chance considering your long term goals? If your plan is to work in India, then a good Indian MBA should work well for RoI and local opportunities.
I recently decided to abandon my physics studies because I was interested in business so I started to study industrial engineering. I'll have 30 when I have finished my studies. My question is if at that age they receive students at the MiM. I would like to do the MiM, but I see that the average age is 23 years in the majority. I am interested in LBS, INSEAD or HEC. I am determined to make a career in marketing ... What do you recomend ?
As we mention in the video, the MiM is for folks who've got less than 2 years experience. If you are at that stage at 30, it might be better to gain work experience first (since you'd have a lot of catching up to do with your peers) rather than heading back into academics.
Most masters degrees don't officially put an upper age limit, but there always the bigger issue of not fitting into a program for several reasons. It's up to the student to take a call on whether they'd fit in or not, and whether the degree will give them the value they expect.

Hi I have observed that students who graduated with a business degree are not eligible to pursue this course. Or at least this is what I found in every eligibility criteria of Universities in Canada. Is there an alternate course I can pursue similar to MIM. {Except MBA since I don't have any work experience right now} Thanks
I have recently qualified as Chartered Accountant in 2021. But I am right now not inclined towards any field, may be due to lack of experience. So should I go for MIM or MSC in Business Management.
Your answer lies in your question. If the lack of experience is resulting in having no inclination, get some experience first and discover your interests. Then consider a masters degree.
If you don't have a serious plan for what you'll do with the degree, even the best one won't help. You've worked hard for your CA qualification. Why not use it to gain some exposure first?

Hello sameer, I wanted a suggestion of whether to pursue MiF or MiM from a top university if one has a Cfa charter and CPA charter along with 740 in Gmat. Considering roles in consulting or in pure finance. Currently having 2 years of experience in a small CA firm.
For consulting roles, an MBA would be more effective than an MiM. And considering your experience, you're already beyond the stage where an MiM will be relevant. If you can hold on to your horses for a year or two more, you can apply to several good mainstream MBA programs. Sure you can go for MFin this year, but keep in mind that it won't allow you to switch into any non-finance role, as MFin won't have the same flexibility as a general management degree.
@@MBACrystalBall but considering my experience in a small Chartered accountancy firm even if i switch my company to a reputable one in finance and get couple of more years of experience, how high gmat do you think can increase my chances to schools like insead or Wharton

MiM is a general management degree, which allows greater flexibility for students to change directions based on their interests. In contrats, project management is a highly specialised field. If your primary goal is to make money, any good degree would work. But you may not be happy with the job, if it doesn't align with your interests. So make sure you have some goals that go beyond just making money.

For getting a good job after studying abroad, other than hard work and skills, there's also the luck factor. My main issue is the salary decrease for entry level positions. I currently make over $90k US but I'm not enjoying retail. thanks in advance for any reply.
MiM would not be a good idea at this stage from a fit and compensation perspective. A good MBA could help you get a bigger jump from the $90K you're earning right now and possibly a career change too. Have you thought about the next role you want to target?

Sir what should I do I'm a arts student I've just studied humanities in my undergrads. Now I want to make my career in the field of management and I thought MiM will make it.
Like the MBA, an MiM degree is also a general management degree. If you can show that you have the aptitude and interest for it, and also the clarity of what you'll do after getting the degree, go ahead and apply. If you're not at that stage yet, hold back and get some experience first.
A regular (GMAT) MBA is ruled out, since you haven't started working. You could consider options such as MiM. But it's not as widely recognised as an MBA. The alternative is to work for a few years and then consider a masters. Is that an option worth considering?

As you continue with your exam prep, consider the opportunity costs of your decision too. At some point, you'll have to draw a line on how long you want to continue preparing for exams. For that you'll have to be very honest with yourself and evaluate your odds of getting what you're preparing for.

Is MIM better than MSc in Europe? In terms of career opportunities after graduation As i want to pursue marketing which was my specialization subject during my bachelor's and both MIM and MSc have marketing program/subject option so I'm bit confused here Edit- i want to complete my masters in Europe only
Often, the same wine tends to be sold in different packages by different universities. A look at their official pages will give you an idea of how similar those MSc programs are to MiM. Also, check out their employment data to see if your target companies are recruiting. As a general rule, front-office marketing roles can be tougher for international students.
@@MBACrystalBall as far as I've searched, the difference in admission process is MIM require GRE and MSc does not, will that affect value of MSc just because they have waived GRE

Hi Sarvadi, since you are in a unique situation, instead of relying on what others say, the best approach would be to connect with a few of your target programs and ask them about eligibility. No surprises that way.
i am a BBA(3year) student. can you please help me choose between MIM or MBA according to your personal view; 1) i wannna study in germany or france as the fee is more affordable than the states 2) i wanna join consulting companies
Sir I'm a arts student, I don't know basic of economics and business like commerce students do. So will the university gona teach mim/msc in management from the basic level or I've to cover up it by my self. Thank you sir
Hi, I'm currently in my second year pursuing bachelors in management studies (BMS) and overall cgpa has been 9.6. Would you suggest an MiM or an MBA, if MiM do you think internships would hold any value? and what would be the preferred GMAT score for MiM Also what are best MiM colleges in USA?
Hello sir I’m a final year medical student, studying in India . I’m planning to opt for healthcare management (preferably from Europe or UK) after my graduation. Since I have zero work experience(except one year of internship in the hospital ), I thought the better option to go for is MiM . Do you think I should go for this option or look for other possibilities since I don’t have a no medical background? And what all institutes provide MiM in healthcare management?
MiM by design is a general management program. The electives you choose can help you with the specialisation. Try checking the official sites we've listed in the video to see if they have the electives you like. We've seen doctors managing a career transition after an MBA, but don't know about any who've gone for MiM. Try checking on LinkedIn to see if you can find such folks.
Hi Amit, we don't have any partnerships with any universities (for any degree). And unlike the operating model of other companies in this space, we don't get any commission from universities for placing students. As this was meant to be an introductory video, we've only picked a handful of names from a big list. There are good programs outside what we've shared.
I am an engg. Graduate from NIT with a cgpa of 8.74. I also recently got a job at an MNC named SKF bearings. i am planning to pursue MIM from london business school. What can i do to strengthen my profile. If you have any better suggestions then please suggest Thanks
An MiM would be a good option for folks who don't have a strong undergrad brand or a good job after graduation. Considering you have both, why not be patient and work for a few years. The experience will strengthen your profile, and also give you better clarity about where you want to take your career. A mainstream MBA will be a much stronger qualification to add to your resume after an NIT degree. If that's not what you're looking for, then strong test scores, academic grades, and a well-written application would be what you can focus on.
Well sir the problem is that i am currently working in the technical side but i always wanted to work in finance as an investment banker therefore will it be good to switch early for an Mim or wait for MBA and then switch to finance, another dilemma is that after working in technical manufacturing field will it be possible to switch to investment banking role after an MBA. Lastly is Mim from LBS better or PGP of IIM’s w.r.t. job opportunity Thanks
A top IIM degree will help you more than an MiM to make a career shift into finance. It's also more economical. Investment banking roles are always the toughest to get, specially for radical career changers.
Sir, I have recently completed my Btech in computer Science Engineering but I have interest in management field so can I pursue Mim as I have my family business as well……..Or which course will you suggest ?
We generally recommend working for a few years before considering a masters degree. But if you don't have the patience for that, then an MiM degree may be ok.
I'm doing a bachelor degree in BMS(Finance) and i want to do further study from canada. So can you please suggest me that canada is good for Mim degree and what is the percentage of chances of getting job in canada after MIM(Finance). or should I try for Europe Countries. Please reply
As you'd have seen from the video, the MiM degree is best recognised in Europe. Though other countries have started offering them, they still don't enjoy the same recognition in those markets.

Woah I wasn't expecting this?
A couple of options you can consider:
- Skip the masters for now, work for a few years and then consider an MBA.
- Go for a specialised masters and get into the role/company you want. Don't include an MBA in the equation for now. Think about it after you've got a few years of post MS experience.
Sir please do a video on Comparing the MIM vs MIB vs Masters in Finance courses, and their value in country to country and salaries and job opportunity and eligibility and the recruiters and more..

hello, i loved the video. Can you also make one about msc in marketing vs MBA specialization in marketing? thankyou!
We've covered MSc in Marketing in detail here: www.mbacrystalball.com/masters-degree/marketing
Some MiM grads follow this option, as they realise that their MiM degree isn't giving them the opportunities they'd have got from a mainstream MBA.
Sir, does MiM make sense after completing chartered accountancy in India? At the age of 26?
Waiting for an MBA delays my education abroad which is a concern
There'd be an age mismatch given the average age in a typical MiM class. If you don't see that as an issue, go ahead.
Your videos are amazing sir
Sir , I would like to do MBA in mass communication or media management can you suggest me good universities or colleges in usa , and did this specialization has future?
Hey Sameer! Quite an informative video!
Would appreciate your advice in this one:
I have scored 95% in both 10th & 12th, done my B.Tech with 8.1 CGPA. Have a work experience of 2+ years in sales and marketing field.
Currently planning to go to Canada for Masters in Supply Chain.
Do you recommend MBA or MiM for the above profile?
You'll have 3+ years if you got into any program that starts next year. Which makes an MBA a better fit.
@@MBACrystalBall Thanks admin. Just one more thing:
As I will have 3 years work exp, how would be the job prospects post MBA Supply Chain in Canada?
As Many MBA programs in the world require 4-5 years of Work Experience,Is it right to do MiM from Europe and Work for 4 years and then doing an MBA as it gives Global exposure
IF SOMEONE CAN AFFORD THE COST OF TWO FOREIGN DEGREES
Sure, you can do that.
Other specializations like HR aint involved in MiM?
Hlo sir I'm getting Confused in what is the difference between MiM and msc in management program. Sir you told me they are same but I found some University offering both msc in management and MIM how can it be possible if both are same.
Sir I'll be very thankful to you if you help me out
Seems like you took our responses in a literal manner. We mentioned they are 'similar' in many respects, not 'same'. Their focus is different. After looking at the official sites, if you are still confused, better not to go ahead with the application. Wait for a few years and then apply for an MBA where there's no confusion.
hey great video....one question...can you recommend any universities in USA for MiM?
Good video Sir,
It would be more helpful if you could make a detailed video on subject/specializations in MIM.

Hi I'm interested in the same program! Did you end up studying it?
Sir could you plz make a video which differentiates between MIM and MIB/MSC in international business??
They're more or less the same, with one focusing on general management, while the other has a specialisation.

Sir,
If i am interested in marketing/sales/ business development , should i approach toward mim and specialise in the same but at the same time get holistic approach or take masters in the feild i want to pursue?
Thank you!
That's an ok explanation. It can work better if you got your CA qualification. Did you? Or is it still work in progress?
@@MBACrystalBall I was asking on behalf of my son. He's in his final year of under graduation, and doing CA currently. Will be starting his ca articleship this year.
Many CAs who work with us, apply to regular international MBA programs after getting some work experience. That can help mitigate low undergrad grades to some extent.
Sir pls recommend me a Canadian University where I can study mim in marketing/brand management
Just general marketing I don't want digital marketing
You'll find the top MiM programs mostly in Europe since it's more popular there. In Canada, the MBA degree is more popular.

Is it true ???
Can you share a link to that report/article?
I have a doubt regarding my choices
My question is not regarding the difference. But it is more inclined towards my eligibility for mim .

Can you also make a video about Masters in Finance in Canada as many Universities are offering but details are not accurate everywhere.
That's probably because Canada isn't as popular as some other countries for MFin options: www.mbacrystalball.com/masters-degree/finance

Hello Sameer, I would like to take your advice on how I should proceed with my post graduate plans.
Let me tell you a bit about my academic background
10th- 88%
12th- 68%(science)
Graduation- 7.35 CGPA in BBA
I graduated just this year and started working as a management trainee from July onwards but due to some health issues i had to leave the job for a few months.
Thanks
RSM
We don't recommend that approach. Here's why: www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2015/04/17/quit-job-to-study-for-gmat/

@@MBACrystalBall Not MBA Abroad.. MIM Abroad vs MBA India
@@MBACrystalBall then there isn't age limit to apply to the master degree ?
Most masters degrees don't officially put an upper age limit, but there always the bigger issue of not fitting into a program for several reasons. It's up to the student to take a call on whether they'd fit in or not, and whether the degree will give them the value they expect.

Hi
I have observed that students who graduated with a business degree are not eligible to pursue this course. Or at least this is what I found in every eligibility criteria of Universities in Canada. Is there an alternate course I can pursue similar to MIM. {Except MBA since I don't have any work experience right now}
Thanks
There are options such as MIB, MFin and other masters courses.
@@MBACrystalBall And what if I go for MIM, as it is said to be general management course.
If you don't have a serious plan for what you'll do with the degree, even the best one won't help. You've worked hard for your CA qualification. Why not use it to gain some exposure first?
Ok. Thank you so much for your suggestions 😊
You are best bro
Hey sir ! The video is informative and very well explained.
I am planning for MIM next year after my graduation will complete in July and also planning to come back India after mim and some experience their only , so this is a good option or not ? And what do you think about the scope in India after coming..
International MiM degrees aren't known as much in India as they are in their host countries.
@@MBACrystalBall so if we are planning to come back India it's not a good option right .. doing mba from India only would be better then ?
@@tusharbatra9444 Depends on the companies you're trying to impress, and how they view your bschool brand. In India, most employers aren't familiar with international degrees. So domestic MBA from a good bschool may work better from an RoI angle.

Hello sameer,
I wanted a suggestion of whether to pursue MiF or MiM from a top university if one has a Cfa charter and CPA charter along with 740 in Gmat.
@@cpapro2309 Being 30-40 points above the class average would help. but there are many other things that'll matter too.
Hi, I am Chartered Accountant. Is it worth pursuing mim? Especially when i am looking IB roles?

Hi sir,
I want to do engineering managment but the fees is quiet high for the course.
So i am planning for either masters in project managment or masters in managment but confused in choosing one.
Can you please guide me the pro and cons of the course please?
I am a mechanical engineer graduate and my main motive is to get a good pay job in australia.
@MBA Crystal Ball
MiM is a general management degree, which allows greater flexibility for students to change directions based on their interests. In contrats, project management is a highly specialised field. If your primary goal is to make money, any good degree would work. But you may not be happy with the job, if it doesn't align with your interests. So make sure you have some goals that go beyond just making money.
hi your video is so helpful in my decision making time. I am a btech grad in cse and am interested in dng a mim degree to get a management consultant job but like u said, I only have 1 yr experience in tech and not interested in tech much so looking for this career opt. Do u think with given hard work and skills applications, i can get a good paying job after masters graduation? coz gng for masters, applying for loan, away from my family and home country is a huge step to me but as well exciting and curious. I just wanna make sure it's gng to be all worthy enough!
For getting a good job after studying abroad, other than hard work and skills, there's also the luck factor. If you aren't ready to take on the risk associated with that, it's better to gain more work experience and then apply for a regular, mainstream MBA. Does that seem like an option to consider?
@@MBACrystalBall thats a good suggestion but i wanna get a masters degree rn. Ofc Am ready to take risks. Its the obvious choice for every step forward me take..... so i will be gng with masters willing to face whatever consequences I've gotta face

so let me ask you. If I have 6 years of retail management experience, a bachelors degree in business with a certificate in management, should i pursue a MIM or would that be a waste as I would better qualify for the MBA?
My main issue is the salary decrease for entry level positions. I currently make over $90k US but I'm not enjoying retail.
thanks in advance for any reply.
MiM would not be a good idea at this stage from a fit and compensation perspective. A good MBA could help you get a bigger jump from the $90K you're earning right now and possibly a career change too. Have you thought about the next role you want to target?
Hello sir! Do LBS and HEC recognize BBA as a bachelor's degree? I'm asking this because some american B- schools do not recognize it. Also, my specializations are event management and finance, how should i work towards my profile so that it helps me during MiM applications? Thank you! Kindly reply.

@@MBACrystalBall currently I am giving competitive exams, I don't have work experience. I was thinking of doing a masters in future.
A regular (GMAT) MBA is ruled out, since you haven't started working. You could consider options such as MiM. But it's not as widely recognised as an MBA. The alternative is to work for a few years and then consider a masters. Is that an option worth considering?
@@MBACrystalBall at present situation I can't work as I am studying for government exams, i thought if i couldn't clear this government exams i will do masters abroad. My age is 23 at present.
As you continue with your exam prep, consider the opportunity costs of your decision too. At some point, you'll have to draw a line on how long you want to continue preparing for exams. For that you'll have to be very honest with yourself and evaluate your odds of getting what you're preparing for.
Hello sir, i'm currently in first year of college. I'm doing bcom hons. I want to study abroad after graduation. I was confused what option to choose, as mba requires work experience. Is mim better or mba? What if we do mba after mim?
Between the two, a good MBA has better market value. Yes, you can go for an MBA after MiM, but it ends up being quite expensive to get 2 international degrees.

Often, the same wine tends to be sold in different packages by different universities. A look at their official pages will give you an idea of how similar those MSc programs are to MiM. MiM by design is a general management program. The electives you choose can help you with the specialisation. And unlike the operating model of other companies in this space, we don't get any commission from universities for placing students. As this was meant to be an introductory video, we've only picked a handful of names from a big list. There are good programs outside what we've shared.
