Bro no disrespect, but this not a DLC. It's just a new game + update. Your methods are fine, and for the people in the comments saying you are mad for rushing through the game, it's for farming champion tokens folks so you can buy the new weapons as fast as possible to enjoy them! The first time I played the game, I took my sweet time on very hard and did everything in the game. With this ng+, I rushed through the main game on ultra hard and did the tallnecks for the tokens and bought all coils from the merchants, took me around 4 hours on this difficulty. Played the game a third time on just story, rushed through the game, it took me around 3 hours, did the tallnecks again and bought all the coils again from all merchants. And now playing the game a fourth time on ultra hard again, this time taking my time again with the game and redoing everything again. I did it this way so I could also farm all coils from the merchant apart from the tokens, so I have a perfect setup with coils on all my weapons so I could play the game on ultra hard and not rushing it. But to each their own
Thank you so much! I always like to go for the 100% platinum trophy. It was hard enough playing the game for the second time on NG+ Ultra Hard but getting 125 of them? Currently im at 60 but f.... hate everything about this extra trophy just to get to 100%. Personally I don't really like the NG+ Trophy but it is what it is.
It's worse than that I'm afraid. To get the armor recolours, you'll need to have got the relevant armors. So you'll have to grind 90 arena medals as well. I gave up. The game wasted good enough to justify a dozens of additional hours chasing a couple of bronze trophies I may never manage to get in any event.
Guys for minimum frustration, do the ng+ in story difficulty and get 95 tokens. Then start another NG+ UH main missions only for the UH trophy and get 30 tokens. Now you have 125 to buy them all.
This has been useful so far so thanks, only slight mistake you made as a few others pointed out was that you can actually override a sunwing above the base as soon as you reboot gaia which will help other people get around the map easier without many campfires for a while.
Tnx to comment section I obtained Sunwing as soon as I activated Ghaia, you find one as soon as you leave base on top of the mountain, makes NG+ much, much easier.
I've seen a few videos like this one, but what none of them tell you, is to get the champion token recolours for gear, you have to first get that gear, and some of it requires a lengthy grind in the god awful Arena as well. The developers really messed up with the Obtain all Upgrades achievement. It's far too much effort for a bronze trophy and so I am likely to remain below 100% completion on this game, which will put me off buying any future sequels.
Wait so if I start a second NG+ from my first NG+ all the tokens I got in the first will carry over? So you theoretically just speedrun the story do a few Tallnecks again and again until you get enough right?
Yes all your tokens got in the first NG+ will carry over on your second NG+, you do not loose your tokens, and yes you can do Tallnecks over and over, it's possible
Question: In order to get the trophy do you have to have all the new dyes/paints/weapons unlocked on a single playthrough or can you for eg buy all the dyes/paints on one and weapons on the other?
Yes arena tokens carry over on your NG+, but watch out arena tokens do not allow to buy the weapons that count for the trophies, because you need champion tokens, and this is completely different
Will the legendary weapons earned in the first play through be able to handle the machines on the main quests during a New Game Plus? Just curious before I start. 100% the game a few months back, so I'm worried I might be a bit rusty if I start a NG+ first.
As you see in that video, I buy all the new weapons once the 125 tokens have been collected, so I did the whole NG+ with the legendary weapons earned in the first playthrough, no worries it's not as hard than it sounds 😉
So am finally going to attempt the NG+ for the new DLC. I did the platinum on regular mode on hard. So my question is why can’t we just do the NG+ in normal to get all the tokens? Because nowhere it states you must do it on UH for tokens just play NG+ to obtain them for side quest and missions. Then do another NG+ on UH just for the weapons?. Then complete again and do dlc?. I know it’s better just to do the whole NG+ on UH full through and you can potentially get all the tokens you need and weapons all in one but man that would take forever. Feed back please .
Yes you can do your NG+ on easy mode to get the 125 tokens, besides with the Burning Shores DLC, you should be close to 125 tokens, why you want to do another NG+ for weapons ? You can collect all the weapons, dyes etc. in your 1st NG+, and if you want all the trophies, do another NG+ in Ultra Hard for the trophy. If you want to go faster, now you have the DLC Burning Shores, start your NG+ in Ultra Hard, finish it, do the tailnecks, rebel camps and relic ruins, then launch the DLC Burning Shores to finish it, you should be close to 125 tokens, you may even have them all, if it's not, finish with side quests to have the 125 tokens

To collect everything: weapons, dyes etc. You only need 125 tokens, if you have watch my video, I don't completing the whole game, I do the main quest, tailnecks, rebel camps, relic ruins and some side quests, but not all the side quests

I think I broke the trophy for this. Basically, I tried to see if I could reuse the same tokens to buy the new weapons and I cant find the original save file to progress the trophy I was doing
No problem, I already tested this strat, I tried to copy my save to buy the weapons, then I reloaded my old save, the game keeps the % on the trophy (PS5 statistics), but if you buy the same number of weapons the % will not increase Basically if you bought 5 weapons with your first save, if you reload your save with 0 purchased weapons, you will have to buy 6 weapons (any one, the 5 same or 5 different, + 1, to increase the %)
Is there any tips and treats to get “Completed Ultra Hard” trophy easy? For example, l will play the new game plus with the easiest way and when I meet the final boss I switch the hard level to the ultra hard to finish the game
No, unfortunately you can't in Ultra Hard difficulty, when you choose Ultra Hard, the difficulty is blocked, but before starting the NG+, I recommend to have The Sun Scourge (Advanced Frost Hunter Arrows) and Death-Seeker's Shadow (Advanced Hunter Arrows) or The Blast Forge (Advanced Bolts), upragde these weapons to level 5, to make the bosses easy (use frost arrows then switch with hunter arrows or bolts)

@@auroragranger79 If you have spent 125 champion's tokens without buying the same thing twice, the trophy should pop, there are 8 weapons (10 tokens per weapon), 4 dyes (5 tokens per dye) and 5 face paints (5 tokens per face paint)
Damn didn’t realise there was new game + deleted the game after 100% completion 4/5 days after the game came out. I think I’ll wait until they release a dlc before downloading again as I do want to play this gem
It's normal, if you have completed the game 4/5 days after the game came out, there was no NG+ yet, the NG+ appeared in June I also think you can wait for a future DLC, there should be one, well I think like in Horizon Zero Dawn
When you're talking about rushing thru the game for.... reasons, then you kind of have no business talking about anyone messing up. They did not make this game for those who want to ruin the experience by just rushing thru it & skipping over everything important.
And you got one thing wrong right off the bat. You start New Game + with the Sunwing mount already unlocked, so you just need to find a Sunwing somewhere in the wild and override it. You don't seem to have any idea what you're talking about. Why even post to TH-cam if you don't even know the basics?
So basically u can get the rewards in new game plus 2 as well you don't have to get all 125 token in one playthorugh that's all I wanted to know thanks
In my 2nd playthorugh i am not skipping any dialogue i love the game i will do all main quest side quest errends gauntlet race tallneck apart from the last long one rebel camps apart from last long one and relics ruines hopefully it would be enough to get 125 tokens

You can buy all the dyes/paints on your first playthrough then go to your second and buy the weapons, it's not a problem
What about the Arena tokens that you've earned on the first run, does that carry over NG+?
Yes arena tokens carry over on your NG+, but watch out arena tokens do not allow to buy the weapons that count for the trophies, because you need champion tokens, and this is completely different

No. It can be obtained in any difficulty but it needs to be a new game plus. @kephket1 is wrong.
