Loving this channel... giving me all the nostalgic feels of my hometown! South side stand up!

Nostalgia washed over me. Thank You For taking this 79yr old woman back at the start from my teen years on 'South Park' to the last place my parents lived in Chatham on King Drive, they wouldn't know the place now.

Greetings! I’m a Californian now and it was great to cruise down MLK Jr Drive. I was happy to see my high school identified with its name as when I attended: Dunbar Vocational High School. 🤓Thanks much.

I literally just subscribed a few mins ago. I'm in Chicago and I love how nice and easy going these vids are.

Wow…This brings back so many memories!
16:18-I used to live on 63rd and Indiana (the “220 building”), and I went to Dulles Elementary. I HATED walking past the train yard to go to school. It was so SCARY!
18:22-I lived in the apartment over the store (with the green awning) when the street was called South Park. I’m surprised a store is still there.
Can you PLEASE drive 63rd between Stony Island and Halsted or further?? That would be awesome!

My family moved from there in 2003 when the neighborhood started getting bad. Chatham overall has changed quite a lot within the last 20 years, buildings were torn down and a lot of businesses have either changed or no longer exist.

@@Galidorquest I lived there in the 1960s to 1980s. Sad to hear about the decline.

On the contrary: it leads me to imagine driving through Chicago during its 1920s heyday !

I couldn't get past the terrible choice in music.
