I'll put it this way....I'm a horror buff and I believe like many do, that the Exorcist is the scariest movie ever. When this movie used the tagline - "This generation's The Exorcist, it wasn't hyperbole like I initially thought. No, this movie is an absolute classic and you will never figure out what this movie is about just by watching the trailer. Go back and watch the trailer afterwards though and you'll see that massive clues were given. Right up there with the Exorcist. If you are a horror fan it's a MUST SEE.
This was probably one of the best interviews about the film. You can see there's genuine interest between both parties and it's such a pleasure to watch
After watching the film I just realized two things; Toni's come a very long way since Muriel's Wedding, and the fact that after this one, horror movies in the future are going to seem a lot more insipid! It's just hugely raised the bloody bar!
Can't wait, just a couple of weeks to see this. High praise for a first time director to be the best director she's worked with! Looking forward for Toni Collette to haunt my dreams lol
Really enjoyed the interview - you all did a great way of talking about the characters and development without spoiling anything. Great answers from Toni - one of the most incredible performances I have ever seen.
I saw it last night, it was brilliant, it stays with you! It’s not a gorefest if that’s what your expecting. you will love your family a lot more after watching this film.
I think, from what i have heard, and read, and saw, as far as reviews for the movie goes, that this movie is riding the coattails of the Paranormal Activity films. In those movies, we saw Tobi, who was a king of hell, come to earth, and the Paimon of this movie, is also a king of hell who has come to earth. The grandma of both this movie and the PA movies lead a coven of satanic witches who is trying to get a demon a host, so it can walk the earth, so through a ritual, it conjures up the demon. I am a big fan of supernatural horror, so this movie is right up my alley!
The trailer appears like the table scene was funny but it was not. The way the scene it cut makes it seem funny but that scene is not timed like that. Oh I heard that they cut about an hour from the film. I would have watched every minute of it. I expected that we would see all the miniatures the end showing us the actions of the family in the past leading up to the present day. I thought it was going to be so creepy like the scene in the shining when we see jack in the black and white picture.
Toni Collette is a gem.

Hereditary is a masterpiece and Toni Collette should be nominated for an Oscar.
Damn she really nails the American accent in the film. I had no idea she wasn't from the states.
"There is a sense of separation at the end". You can say that again.
lol!

Toni Collette's performance is astonishing and unnerving. She carries this film on her shoulders brilliantly!
Toni Colette THANK you for this performance. I felt every moment so deeply

She did an amazing job ! It’s awesome to hear how she got ready for that role
Can't wait, just a couple of weeks to see this. High praise for a first time director to be the best director she's worked with! Looking forward for Toni Collette to haunt my dreams lol
Really can’t wait to see this. Anyone else think the little girl looks just like the actor Jason Clarke?!
Yes !
I love Toni, she's such a brilliant actress.
this movie isn't horror, it's terror. It terrorizes you in the most brutal possible way.
Really enjoyed the interview - you all did a great way of talking about the characters and development without spoiling anything. Great answers from Toni - one of the most incredible performances I have ever seen.
She was AMAZING in the film
Underrated! Deserves so much more acclaim
she's one of the best actresses ever
Stoked to see a trailer focused on Toni Collette
It’s so weird hearing her in a Australian accent. But I can’t wait to watch this movie. I cannot wait.
I think it's a UK accent, just not london
People from the UK would be insulted if they thought they sounded Australian. Toni Collette is an Australian actor.
I don't know she’s from Sydney
I saw it last night, it was brilliant, it stays with you! It’s not a gorefest if that’s what your expecting. you will love your family a lot more after watching this film.
She seems so natural and down to earth, i really like her.
Only week left
I can hardly wait
Great interview, I will definitely be going out to catch this one
I like that this podcast started talking about life after death.
Those 2 scenes were NOT funny AT ALL. Especially the one at the dinner table....that was such a painfull scene....for all three
I live in the area Toni grew up in. Very few South Africans here, now.
THAT FACE ON UR FACE
Wait she has an accent? I had no clue.
Very excited for this
She is so bad ass in the United States of Tara series
How did I miss this interview? Everytime I think the Oscars snubbed her for Hereditary, just makes me mad.
got nothing on my folks its true story 4 me im living this right now
Is great actress
I really hope future horror movies will follow the formula of Heredity!

I can see the similarities too. Better late than never
A terrifying film
