How to Recover Deleted Text Messages on iPhone

You can recover deleted text on your iPhone in two easy ways.
The first way is recovering the deleted text from your iCloud backup. As long as the text was deleted before the latest backup, it will recover.
In order to do this, you'll have to reset your phone and restore it from the backup. It's a long process, but it will work as long as the text message was backed up.
The second option is using Dr. Fone. This software will recover any deleted files from your device. You can also use the software to backup from iCloud or iTunes backups without having to reset your phone to factory default.

I found the message I accidentally deleted, but it then asks me to purchase the software or register it (same as purchasing) in order to recover to device. Is recovering the message and having it on your iPhone again not available on the free version?

I just discovered that iOS won't let you undelete accidentally deleted messages (just finding this out, the hard way, after 10+ years of using iOS).
I just have to say F*CK iOS and F*CK Apple. Seriously this is beyond ridiculous. This is a normal feature on Android.
This incident has convinced me to ditch iOS (and therefore Apple) forever. I'm Android all the way from now on. Thank you for pushing me away so effectively, Apple! You're saving me a ton of money. Now that I'm never going to buy another iPhone, I will save thousands in the years to come, buying vastly cheaper Android devices instead of expensive iPhones.
