I’m going to post a somewhat longer comment giving some of my opinions on the opening section of this hearing as someone who is a member of the Minnesota Army National Guard, Combat Engineer, and full time Honor Guard team member. Sometime last year as of posting this comment, I had worked at a funeral service for a fellow 20 something year old Minnesota Army National Guard solider who was also a police officer. An illegal Syrian immigrant who came into the US through the Mexican border planned to commit a terrorist attack on a fair consisting of about 1000 people with grenades, fully automatic AK’s, around 10,000 rounds of ammo, and propane tanks. Before getting to the fair he was engaged and stopped by two officers, one of which the young police officer which the funeral was held for had died in the firefight. His death was not national news just local. A week or so after this I had watched a random mike glover video where I learned that an alarming amount of Syrian nationalists were illegally entering the country through the Mexican border, no doubt in relation to the Palestine and Israel conflict. In his video he detailed that Americans should be more wary for future terrorist attacks, which is ironic that I saw him to be telling the truth first hand. At about 4:00 minutes into this video I found it astonishing that the FBI paints the picture of domestic terrorist to be the exact opposite of who the terrorists actually are. Almost as if they actually want more real terrorist attacks to happen, and less people to try and defend against them. I am also disgusted by the lady who started speaking around 7:00 minutes into the video, not addressing his main point but condemning the people of Jan 6. Im not saying what they did was right, but I find it eye opening to see the contradiction. When domestic terrorist burn down Minneapolis and shoot at my fellow brothers in arms over a guy who died of a drug over dose (which has now been confirmed in an updated review of the autopsy) then it’s fine. But when conservatives to more or less then same thing then it’s abhorrent.

bravo to you for taking the time to tell us this. I was interested and actually wish it were longer, believe it or not. I've studied everything I can keep up with on the political shenanigans going on for over 5 years. I repeatably wrote on FB and other social media, that Illegal aliens would be the most damaging thing to our country after the corrupt Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, etc.. were voted in and opened the borders. Mitigating this disastrous policy will be the hardest, if not impossible to some degree, however, there's hope the other destructive policies could be tempered in time once this administration has been run out, even though it won't be easy either.

Hey democrats, what happened during the Summer of love in 2020 ?
Your selective memory's ONLY talk about J6, and not once mention the Summer of Love. Why not ?
      Because. . .
      1) over 400 Police Officers were injured that required medical treatment ! Some were PERMANENTLY blinded by lasers wielded by antifa.
      2) over 40+ Police, Security & others were MURDERED !
      3) over 2 Billion dollars in damages were done by antifa-communists.
      4) at one point there were over 50 Arson fires in Wash. DC injuring over 50 firemen.
      5) The "mostly peaceful riots" in DC concerned the Secret Service so much they moved POTUS Trump & his family to a SAFER & more secure location.
      6) HOW many people in antifa participated in the Summer of Love have been Arrested, Investigated, Charged & Sentenced for the RIOTS they started & participated in ? Less than 50.
Why won't you talk about the Summer of Love democRAT-COMMUNISTS when the numbers are 10 times greater than the J6 numbers are ?
Why is Garland, Joey, Wray, Pelosi & the DoJ IGNORING the antifa-communist CRIMINALS who participated in the Summer of Love ?
      It's called Collusion !
      It's called Covering Up !
      It's called TWO-Tier Justice !
The Jurors in DC are 96% democrats & would indict & FIND GUILTY a ham sandwich if Pelosi & Barrack told them to !

Having a firm grasp of the English language and using it to articulate his ideas can be confusing to people who have a remedial understanding of English, So when Dr. Peterson speaks, to some it can sound like a foreign language. But it sure was fkn rude to deny him his last paragraph that was clearly winding to a close when a couple others went way over allotted time, as well.

    • @jennmcdavitt3782

@NopeOnARope_ I find it rather distressing that jp sounds like one that speaks a foreign language to some. If this is true, I feel that people should read more and exercise the muscle that is their mind. That being said, those in that chamber knew what he was saying, and that's why they shut him down. They don't want people to speak the truth. They know he's a respected person with a genuine grasp on the situation as it stands. They are afraid his words will reach the ears of too many people that DO grasp his cognizant language. I fear our grandchildren will live in a world that resembles a futuristic North Korea. It's disturbing. I think it would be prudent for those of us with a mind to really speak out. Really articulate what's going on for the masses that are stuck on talking points and an image of what they think they are fighting for.

@fourtysixandtwo4556 I listened to an interview he did with a young adult that was the victim of the medical community and their push for "trans healthcare". I work at a hotel that has a code of conduct requiring difference be shown to those of varying gender identity. I didn't really understand the magnitude of what this meant until one of my Co workers started explaining it to me. I decided to check out random perspectives on you tube. It all sounded like drivel. Then I came across jp and his interview and I was floored. I knew it was a thing, but I didn't know it was a THING. I checked out his other videos and was moved by an interview he did with a woman that escaped north Korea. The rabbit hole progressed from there. While I don't agree with every single word he says, a significant portion of what he says is profound on a level you just don't see anymore. I was thrilled he was invited to speak here. Then livid when they instantly cut him off. It says so much more than if they had just allowed him to finish.

People complain about Nike's association with BLM but still buy their apparel and glue themselves to their screens watching sports leagues sponsored by them. People on the left complain about capitalism as they sit in Starbucks punching away on their iPhones. Anyone who ever thinks that a government committee is going to solve their problems is partly responsible for the existence of those problems.

If a bank account isn't owned by the owner of the money that means they don't just have ownership of information, it means they have ownership of citizen's money.... Absolutely a warrant should be required, and absolutely no official body should be able to freeze any bank account without definitive identification of a preparator of a crime. If a person is caught on film doing something criminal for instance, sure, freeze their account, but not just because someone happened to be in the same area as where a crime was committed. And not because, in Canada's case, citizens donate money to a cause that they believe in which the government deems against their own wishes!

Let's not play around with grammar and syntax, or quibble over one word, trying to throw everyone off the real problem, the authoritarianism and lies of the rabid religious right. It's known as a red herring. It won't work. You've spent some time on a battlefield? BFD. EVERYONE I know has been there, done that. @@user-ul9vn6hn2g It's not about committing treason and I think that's what most people in that meeting fail to realize. It's about the implications of not having regulations on information that is collected and shared digitally. It's not just about banks. For physical possessions such as homes, cars, phones, phone towers you need a warrant to able to access them. If there is no law regulating how authorities or government agencies can access private civilian information, then are we just trusting them to be dutiful in when and why they request that information when the law doesn't require them to? Your data footprint includes all your accounts (bank, social media, etc), personal info you've ever put anywhere, comments, purchases, places you have visited, who you are friends with, watch history, likes/dislikes, biases, political inclinations etc. This is not about what party you agree with, or your political beliefs, or what happened in Jan 6, or even about the present. This is about protecting people's right to express themselves however they want to, their right to believe in what they want; with no worry about the government persecuting them from biases that they have towards certain aspects of their personal lives. Laws and regulations are meant to prevent worst-case scenarios. Picture what could happen. We put an extremist that goes against all your political beliefs and who has his own people in the police and FBI. Do you want that person to have free access to everyone's digital information? Do you trust our information wouldn't be exploited for his personal gains? As technology improves, how much deeper do you think your digital footprint would get? What do you think would happen to our country in the future with this sort of lack of privacy? Do you think people's information wouldn't be dramatized and tampered with to incriminate them with actions they haven't committed? As far fetched as you may think this theoretical scenario I'm painting is, this is something that's already happening in other parts of the world.
