A Little Snow Will Change a Trail

- I've made a couple videos of this trail for the channel, but never in the snow. This is just a short video of a trip up to the top in my Discovery.
Hopefully the forecast is accurate and we get some real snow soon. If and when that happens, I'll go do my best to get stuck.

Looking good. Those off camber trails are tough in the snow. Just wanted to point out, the rear (locked) really accentuates the slide on the side hill. while your front is not locked and can be seen as a detriment, it actually allows you to keep the front of the rig going up the hill. Locked in front as well and it would have been more difficult in that situation..all in all I think it is performing very well the way it is.. Appreciate your excellent videos, except they are too short..lol
Thanks, John. I totally agree about the locker making me slide downhill. When the ATB in the front locks up, it has the same effect. Luckily, there's kind of a ditch on the right side of this section, so as long as you're prepared to get a little tippy, that's where the traction is. I don't think any set up would be able to hold traction further up to the left and the rock slab (covered by snow).
I'm working on making the videos longer, too. But you know, only so many hours in the day, and all that.

Have you thought about a front bash plate? Front end looks a bit vulnerable.
I'm working away through your Disco back catalogue, having just got back to Landy's with a D2. Although, you've got me thinking about getting a D1 again.
Yeah, it’s definitely not a bad idea. It would take a very specific type of obstacle, but smashing the oil filter is possible…
Yuop could air them to 12psi 255 got big load capability and Disco is too light to proper spread tire on ground on 15psi
Yeah, all the 255 tires I can find are E rated. Wish I could find some D rated ones. I've gone as low as 10 psi, but I was really nervous about losing a bead, and I've found 15 psi to be a good balance between having a little extra traction and losing a tire.
Digging the camera angles and framing. Would you mind sharing the details of your videography gear?
Yup, it's nothing super crazy. My video/stills camera is a Nikon Z6, with either a 40mm f2 or a 70-200 f2.8 lens. Drone is a DJI Mavic Air 2 I think. And the trusty old GoPro.

What lift kit are you currently running?
Thanks, the lift is 2” Terrafirma springs with 1” spacers and +2” TF shocks. Also 6 degree castor corrected radius arms in the front.
What wheels and tire size?
255/85r16 on 16x7 0mm offset wheels. @@82Manta
