I pose this, Jung is bent on the idea that dreams influence our life. But maybe our Dreams is a glimpse into the other world we will pass towards once our journey is done. Yes I agree my dreams have given me answers, yes my dreams showed me the future, yes my dreams have made no sense at all. But if one is mindful and connected to them self in waking state....one can get answers in waking state much like a dream, which I have experienced. This is all very interesting, but far to much analysis and solid interpretations on dreams, which I don't agree with....nothing is solid in this life.

oh really.. smoking weed prevents dreaming, I didn't notice lol! Collective unconsciousness controls everything, that's kinda scary thought. So maybe if we could all change the way we think about our sense reality, this would bring about true change as humans and matter all around us. hmm interesting.

This might sound a bit odd, one thing I have noticed through out my life is, subtle thought is more powerful then direct thought. Meaning the thoughts I live in day to day are weak compared to fleeting thoughts...I always get answers to fleeting thoughts but not direct thoughts.

Same. I am not sure how it works, M Bronte, but it is incredible, right?

Hey, I've had trouble understanding my dreams. How are you able to follow irl the pattern you see in your dreams? Perhaps an example?

@@jasha7579 Typically I don't remember my dreams, but occasionally one will stand out. For example, I dreamt that I go into work and all my co-workers are working in the dark all power out! I go to my desk and ask my co-worker why is everyone working? She says because the higher ups tell us to continue! I say WHAT! they expect everyone to work in the dark! and I'm in complete disbelief! I wake up.
Now what does it mean? not sure... but it can mean a number of things?? perhaps I feel like my job has unrealistic expectations, perhaps I feel stuck at my job, perhaps something in my life is telling me I need a change, perhaps I don't feel happy in my life, perhaps the dark represents a trapped feeling. Which one is correct, idk, maybe all of them.

interesting how a person from an imperialist country (like ml von franz was) would tell a colonized individual that to realize his "true self", the colonized person must first stop trying to free his country...I wonder what franz fanon would have to say about that...

Post modernist bs. Being colonised or not has nothing to do with the subconscious. Get over it.

I think that Von Franz was trying to say, what is the use of freeing your country if you have not first freed yourself through self-realization?

Most people who engage in "trying to free their country" are largely ineffective and forgotten by history.
If you really wanna make an impact, you need to prioritise developing yourself into the most individuated and mature person you can be. For that will give you a much better chance of making an impact since you'll be a much more capable person
