I love that most cultures have some version of a "hand pie." Kare pan are such delicious, convenient, self-contained meals. SO many interesting varieties at this shop. Thank you for sharing these, Shinichi! ❤️
Sometimes, when all the items look similar, cooks use a recognisable coating like the noodles and croutons, to help them identify which curry bread is which, as well as add some crispness to them.

I love japanese curry. I can buy a pack of 🇯🇵curry cubes and cook as gravy. Also add them to my rice in rice cooker. After its finish cooking it turns out mecca oishi😋

wow... I know that regions have their own curry specialities but never imagined a store to have so many different kare pan.
I am blessed to have kare pan available where I live but I'd love a recommendation on how to reheat and enjoy it

I love curry powder...I add it to just about everything! I agree there were caves inside some of the bread where more filling would be good. Having worked in a bakery, maybe when the bread rises there's air in a pocket in the center. Looks good though!
I'm so amazed by how the egg yolk remains runny even though it's been baked in the bread. Yum, yum! I'm such a fan of curry pan :) Hope to visit Hiroshima soon. We had to cross it off our itinerary when train service was affected by the super typhoon in 2017.

I love places like this but its so hard to figure what the food is since most places don't have an English menu or info.
For such situations, Google Maps and Google Translate are quite helpful when travelling in Japan.
@@restaurantman Been using both for a while now but small shops with hand painted signs are still a big problem. My poor Nihongo skills don't help much either. LOL

Hi Shinichi the Curry breads looked yummy 😋. I liked the butter chicken the most. We sometimes make bread at home and have a big bag of Panko breadcrumbs and some instant Japanese curry paste as well in our cupboard so I am going to try and make these Curry breads , wish me luck 😂. 😋👍😀
