I really like Chameleon products! They are a little higher than some others products, but they will pay for themselves plus some extra over the years. I really don’t mind paying more because it cost the company to bring quality to the customer. I still love my Emcomm II antenna. It does extremely well on nvis every time I connect the RG-8 coax to it. Thanks for the insider news regarding Chameleon! Thinking about buying a new Emcomm II or III soon.
You nailed it! I consider buying their gear an investment, almost like the radio itself. Obviously with what I do, I have a lot of different products, and of the gear I own no one matches Chameleon quality.
So if you want to use the puck on a spike and radials from the puck you need an antenna mount with male 3/8x24 on the bottom, female 3/8x24 on top, and coax connection on the side , and top is insulated from bottom Like the new coil they have? is there any other mount? The BD7 maple is great but not 3/8x24 male on the bottom Does CHA make anything like the bd7 for use on the spike and or puck?
@@HOAHamRadio because its tough as hell, and I am not one to baby stuff lol. Most of it resides in the bed of my truck, and their MPAS system is, hands down the most robust system I have used.

Is the connector between puck and whip a transformer or a simple antenna mount?
Bottom line your radiator cannot touch the puck; if you do, the signal goes to ground.

Over priced as usual? Expensive shipping? The CHA modus operandi...
I find their products to be a good value. They are well built and work great. They are one and done quality, not “once and done.”
Just not an original design. Brace for impact.
