    22mph, while not the zippiest, is pretty darn good for a commuter.
    Also, the large tires and hydraulic braking system are very pleasing.
    Hopefully, this becomes available in the US.

      Its certainly fast enough for urban riding. We will do our best to get it over there 😀👍

    I hope you guys come out with a dual motor version. I seen the hill climb video and was not impressed. It's a beautiful looking scooter just wish it had a little more power.

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Its a lovely looking scooter. Because it meets road legality in most European countries and potentially the UK in the future it has to have the 500w motor. That being said, it is the fastest 500w scooter that we have tested up the hills good performance for its spec. We could put a larger motor in the rear pretty easily 😀👍

    I think that this scooter is going to suffer a market identity crisis for a lot of potential customers and yet one that a seat option would solve. Of course, for the US, bigger motor/s and battery. The larger wheels tend to really restrict the deck length which reduces the stance (foot separation) that may be needed for tall riders to negotiate bumps especially without suspension.

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Made for European regulations and aimed at commuters that enjoy the upright stance and not having to pedal. Points taken though and it definitely wont suit everyone 👍

  • @MandyLionRock

    Looks like a bicycle without the option to sit or use the pedals when you run out of battery. It's not as portable as a scooter and doesn't have the advantages of a bicycle... hard pass.

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  ปีที่แล้ว

      Its been very popular for riders with hip and joint problems, allowing them to keep walking their dogs, or get to the shops, or just get out and about without having to walk or peddle, they are great fun to ride, come and try one out any time 😀👍

  • @Skyfloats72

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately it has to meet the european legalities for road and bike path riding so there is a max motor size. However its the best climber out of the 500w scooters we have tried 😀👍

    this needs at least a 25 ah battery 🔋
    that doesn't even look like a hill 🤣

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      200m 20% slope, pretty flat round here so its as hilly as it gets 🤣🤣 For a larger battery it would need to be redesigned and would have less rider space and also be heavier so it was a trade off 😎 Thanks for watching and the feedback 👍👍

    I can’t see why 500 watts limit is what authorities are going for. Heavier riders or going on hills struggling to do 10mph at best isn’t actually safer in my view. 1000 watts is more realistic and useable. If not manufacturers need to fit beefier batteries and controllers to get a high peak output. A 500 watt motor needs to be having near 1000 watt peak. I think unagi were actually on to something with their 250 watt dual motor e500 as although not much power overall dual motor works better on hills cos of traction etc plus on flats or downhill u can switch to single motor and save battery.

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally agree but the peak output is also normally restricted, it really makes no sense. As you say, heavier riders on steeper hills will end up pushing in the cycle lanes or on the roads which will be so dangerous 🤯🤯

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RIDEGLIDE exactly I think dual 500 watt so 1000 watt combined like the Apollo city strikes a good balance.

      No need to pedal. Better if you've got lower body mobility issues. Lower centre of gravity. No chain or gears to deal with. Less maintenance. Those are just top of my head.

    im quiet dissapointed especially with how this thing struggled with a basic hill climb something my xiaomi m365 can do even the base model xiaomis can do this no problem.. meanwhile this 1.5k overpriced standing bicycle thingy cant even do it.. no torque no power. just fancy looks

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The xiaomi didn't make it up the hill unfortunately, steeper than it looks! Come down to the shop and try it for yourself, it might surprise you 👍👍

    • @ZOMBIEEZ
      @ZOMBIEEZ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RIDEGLIDE your concept of how this works is pretty low tier yes your standing bicycle should be able to make it but u fail to understand bigger wheels need more powerful motors u cant use the same 500w motors u use on an escooter with 8'inch wheels on a standing ebicycle with 20 inch wheels.. the larger the diameter the harder the motors have to work therefore the lower the torque output and the lower the acceleration if it was an ordinary escooter with the same motor power it would power up the hill no problem, I notice a lack of torque/power output which is pretty bad for what this thing is ment to be able to do which tells me ur using underpowered controllers limited to a certain low amperage just enough to get it moving regardless of lacking power being produced, and u cant just force the motors to actually work harder under peak power, actually have the right amount of power required in the first place and that wont be an issue.

    • @ZOMBIEEZ
      @ZOMBIEEZ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RIDEGLIDE also not to forget its carrying more weight than an xiaomi scooter, 25kg from what ur specs say,, u need more powerful motors u cant be using 500w and expect to perform the same way as a xiaomi or pure scooter with a 500w motor the form factors are different and the scooters are clearly way lighter...

    • @ZOMBIEEZ
      @ZOMBIEEZ หลายเดือนก่อน
