I have a theory that Leviathan was the one eikon Ultima could not control and was rival to Ifrit as the first vessel in the previous world. Typhon was also tested as the first vessel (ability to absorb like Clive i.e. Ramuh's abilities) and failed because Leviathan could literally drown the world or create an endless storm.
I’m so happy it is his favorite, because it’s mine too and I got to hear it before each Eikon fight 😊 and then each Eikon had their own certified bangers 🎉

Screw what the haters say. The Garuda fight is legendary and with each major battle the stakes scaled higher and higher. I'm 97% through the game and I love Final Fantasy XVI.
Just commented on the away video, but I can't believe the lyrics have always been in English. Genuinely thought to be in latin. Great work for recognizing them and with you video! Also I LOVE how the lyrics refer to all the Eikons
Thanks! There's a mix of some Greek and English in most of the songs so it can get a bit confusing. ( For example "Apheliotes is Greek for when the east wind is "blowing from the sun") Most of the Lyrics are officially released but getting to actually hear them can be a bit tricky. Thanks again!
I'm not a native english speaker so i didn't know that this song was in that language. I assumed it was in latin like many other Final Fantasy songs of previous entries. I love how the song references the eikons to say "the shit hit the fan, prepare to die"
To be fair, the choir is sung in a way that it makes the lyrics hard to distinguish, let alone in middle of gameplay. Perhaps it was done intentionally.
A lot of water-themed lyrics. Ironic how Leviathan is the only big name summon you don't fight. But the level of subtlety he's mentioned makes me think the devs have plans with them.
@@Sharff514 I want Clive to be handicapped from being able to use Ifrit or Phoenix against Leviathan because its powers counter theirs by nature. Meaning Clive is forced to think outside the box and rely on say, Bahamut and Ramuh to fight back. Thus making Leviathan a Level 100 superboss.
Come on. FFXV had amazing songs by Yoko Shimomura. I've listened to some of her online concerts and she is honestly up there with the best Japanese game composers ever. FFXIII also had good tracks by Masashi Hamauzu. "Blinded by Light" is amazing and gives you goosebumps, hands down.
i played FF games since 96, so for me this is the best song in 20 years of FF games, i know about FFXV songs (omnis lacrima, apocalypsis noctis, somnus) is different style but this one is something better and not only for me, there is lot of players (old) thinking the same about FFXVI songs.@@NoctLightCloud (only 20 years) so i´m not talking about Ps1 FF games...
I feel like this was a scrapped Leviathan fight theme just used as a normal boss theme. It works for Leviathan, and it's real unfortunate that leviathan isn't in 16 since he would've completed the quad of fire, air, earth, and water, plus would've been the perfect rival to Clive and Ifrit.

Thank you! The Lyrics for most of the soundtrack are officially released so I do plan on doing at least all of the main Eikon themes. It can get tricky to hear when they're saying things and sync it properly even when you know *what* they're saying but it's a fun challenge. I do plan on doing that spoilery stuff too!
