If you want your horse to travel in comfort and safety it's a very simple process to load and with a safe environment for the owner. It is perfectly safe to load without being attached to a towing vehicle as there are stabilising legs at the rear of the trailer.

Multiple safety issues with this video ... never load a horse onto a trailer that isn't attached to the car and never tie a horse BEFORE the back bar is in place! If that horse pulled back, it could do terrible damage to itself, the handler and the trailer.

Brilliant guide for rookie (like myself) that never seen fittings and bars being put in place. Well done, good video!

Sure looks like a lot of ramps, doors and latches to mess with to load one horse.

You do not need to open the front ramp or front top door to load. You can easily exit out the grooms door once two horses are on board or down the spare side and out the back ramp. I think they are trying to show all the features of the trailer.

It is dangerous to do that without it being hooked up to something

@@kbaby4476 how does the wheel stop the float moving though? here in NZ you are not even allowed to tie a horse to a float that is not attached to a vehicle,

@@mp-lz4he Ifor Williams trailers like most European trailers of this size are braked. The Knott braking system is very effective both in transit (inertia brake as can be seen by the rubber boot behind the couple on the drawbar) and when the handbrake (parking brake) is engaged. Furthermore, the trailer is equipped with prop stands at the rear, making the trailer stable (no pun intended).
