    I had the 32 GP83B version of this monitor and it was quite nice. My only complaint was that the black uniformity was pretty bad on my panel and had some noticeable backlight bleed which led to me returning it. It's still a fantastic monitor at a great price point for sure.

    For anyone interested in buying this monitor for PS4 or PS4 pro, DON'T!
    I learned the hard way, every game (especially retro) looks blurry due to poor 1080p upscaling, I ended up selling it 40% cheaper than I bought in order to get rid of it.
    Plain and simple : the LG 32GP850-B is not compatible with the PS4 or the PS4 pro, you have been warned.

    • @DisplayReality
      @DisplayReality  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Really? I have no trouble on it. But why would you use 1080p? This accepts a 4k60hz signal. .

    Hey bro, is the Lg 32gp850 your top recommendation for a 32 inch 1440p monitor? If not what is your top recommendation. I’m getting a monitor with that size for ps5 gaming

  • @slversrfr99
    @slversrfr99 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Yeah idk why but HDR with this monitor is bad compared to SDR - like Viktor said it really gets dim, whereas SDR color really pops for me, it's like SDR is supposed to be the HDR part, lol. Anyway yeah, I've had the 27GP83-B for almost 2 weeks now, absolutely LOVE it - after I plugged it in I was giddy with excitement at just how much better this thing is compared to my old TN panel, it's not even close; If you are on the edge of pulling the trigger for this monitor and you don't already have an IPS, GET it, you won't regret it. Oh and something I didn't know about, it actually beeps at you when you turn your PC on or off, it's like the monitor talks to you!! I know, it's silly, but hey now that I have a beeping monitor I will want one always. :D

    Thanks to you now I know what to buy, definitely gonna be the g7 1440p, even tho ips is more colourful but man the dark scene is something I can’t live with it, but correct me if I’m wrong the g7 is the best va panel when it comes to colours right ? Comparing it to others va panels, so this in mind and strong dark lvls man it’s kind of perfection, i also liked the hdr no too bright like the lg950b, anyway thx you really helped a lot thank you

      The G7 has color depth because the the Contrast Levels of VA. You will love SDR and maybe HDR (if you need or like that) on the G7. Black equalizer is really great on the G7..

    I got this today for my PC and PS5. I used to have 27inch IPS 2k and worked GREAT with both PC and PS5. PS5 running at 1440p after the update the other day. Now this new screen says in my PS5 settings, its not supported? 1440p not supported and it says its running at 4k??? I'm confused. Any help?

    • @DisplayReality
      @DisplayReality  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you did the ps5 test on this gp850? Try hard reseting ur ps5 as it may try to carry over your previous monitor settings. Dissconect all cables for 15min on your ps5.

    • @migthefig
      @migthefig 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DisplayReality hard reset? You mean a factory reset? I unplug everything every night before going to bed and re plug when I play. My old monitor is basically the same just a 27inch. I can't make the test. Its grayed out says the HDMI device does not support 1440p. When I'm in a PS5 game and go into the monitor settings, go down to general and then information, It shows a 4k resolution. How can this be?
      EDIT: So I figured it out. At the same time I got this screen, I got myself a Astro adapter because I been using Astro A-40s for my PC since 2013 and wanted to use them on my PS5 but PS5 don't have any optical port so we need an adapter. Well that adapter only supports, 720p - 1080p and 4k no 1440p. When I unplugged that adapter, everything was compatible again.

    how do you compare the image quality against the g7? I know g7 has better contrast and some people says ips has better colours but if you have to choose one for gaming in general which one would you choose?
    can you notice the difference in ppi between 1440p at 27 vs 32?

    • @DisplayReality
      @DisplayReality  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      G7 still has depth. The colors are so close because it's a great VA. I needed 32" as I like the look for games. While web browsing does look more crisp on 27"... I really don't see when gaming as everything is moving fast usually. Put it this way. I still would not sell or trade my G7 for anything right now. Other than maybe LG GP950s for the 4K... I really want a 32" 4k monitor after this yr, Next yr will be the 32" 4K yr as more Monitors will be coming out at that size.

    • @DisplayReality

      I played ps5 and it looked good. LG Nano IPS panels generally look better than average. I have a couple of Nanos and all look great with lower 1080p content. The smaller 27" monitor does look better because of the pixel density but still it looks great on the 32".

    Hello, I wanted to ask for an opinion recently I was watching your video about the dell s322dfg and it convinced me but now that I see this monitor I have doubts about choosing it instead of the dell that is currently in 350 dollars in best buy, which one do you recommend more? The viewing angles and response times are not important since I do not play competitively or work professionally, having good image quality and very vivid colors is enough for me

    • @DisplayReality
      @DisplayReality  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly now I would choose the LG because of the colors. Plus 4k signal acceptance looks more natural onbthe LG over the S3220DGFs smarthdr (introduces sharpness) the LG can display it with ease and looks better. The LG is newer so it makes sense more features were added but for those 2 reasons the LG Wins. But Contrast in dark room Gaming goes to the Dell. I will make a vs video soon. But buy the LG 32" under 499.99. That was the price on labor day. 50 more than the 27". The s3220dgf will be discontinued soon as the s3222dgm replaces it.

    • @DrxPrime451
      @DrxPrime451 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DisplayReality Thanks for the answer friend, one last question, to this day do you think the dell is still worth it? The truth is that after thinking about it, 500 dollars is a little bit high since it is the same price of a series x or a ps5, I was thinking of buying the dell and waiting for black friday and buying the lg or maybe another similar monitor

    Why don't you talk about input lag. This is a gaming monitor and input lag and response time are very important.

    • @DisplayReality
      @DisplayReality  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thx for your input friend... Input lag on all Monitors usually are under 10ms native res. It would be Hardly noticeable. Also this is not a competitive gaming review. Even 20ms vs 10ms is non noticable in my testing to be a major deciding factor for consoles which I cover alot of. Now for competitive pc gaming maybe but still again this is not a gaming review. I'll try to get an lag tester in the future..

    Is 32" flat still immersive? I bought a 32" curved, and while i LOVE the immersion, the VA panels just dont feel as good as the 27" nano ips version of this monitor.

    • @DisplayReality
      @DisplayReality  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will do a vs video on the old G7 and New g7 vs all of my monitors. The 120fps look is with motion plus. Technically movies are Interpolated to double what you watch. Example 30fps looks 60fps. The hobbit at 48fps native looks 96fps in motion plus on. But thru hdmi 2.1 yes you would be able to watch 120fps native (non motion plus enhanced) if you have the source material. Example the new apple tv is hdmi 2.1 (apple says for 120fps base content in the future).

    Hi I have the 38gl950 ultrawide monitor love it but resultion is 3840x1600 just abit taxing so going to upgrade to this is it worth it and what's HDR like on this monitor

      HDR400 on a non dimming zoned monitor is just what it is. It's a bare bones entry into hdr. But the thing is that LG nano saturation makes it look nice in certain situations but not impactful.
