    Great info as usual, Kenny. I know this is a goofy request, but I see lots of people showing videos of the "I feel love" song by Donna Summer. I'd like to see how the synth part is made.. or if even possible on Reaper. with plugins I've tried to figure it out to no avail. Nobody ever seems to tell you how the song is made step by step..they just put up some.. "hey look what I can do" stuff..

    What drum program are you using?

  • @noompsieOG
    @noompsieOG ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I used to painstakingly write drums beat by beat this way it would take hours of sore eyes and sore mouse arm .
    Or you can use prebuilt grooves from your vst as a frame and edit from there to suit
    Using the keyboard as a midi controller then tapping it out live can work
    Now I use my TD-17 Roland as a midi controller so I record that with my drum vst armed on my track , then after recording I quantise it and beaten it up. I’ll also run a left and right out from my kit to my interface and I make my inputs on reaper stereo L and R and you would be surprised how good it sounds , Roland has just released a free update not Long ago for the td 17 also

    • @chezchezchezchez
      @chezchezchezchez ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't quantise !!!
      Be a real drummer.
      Steve Gadd never quantises.
      Jeff Pacaro same.
      That's a BAD habit buddy.

    Hi Kenny. Just wondering what your thoughts are on AI taking over music production in the near future. It's quite concerning. Should those of us just getting started even try, because it seems AI will be a faster/cheaper sell to clients. Kinda makes me want to puke. Thanks for all your work and lessons!!!
