Thank you! The U.S Chopin National Competition (Jan. 3-12, 2025) will be livestreamed from the following account, with commentary by the music TH-camr Ben Laude: www.youtube.com/@chopinfoundationoftheunite8079/videos I applied for it a bit last minute but I am looking forward to the opportunity to perform there. And if all goes well, I will also be able to participate in the October 2025 Chopin International in Warsaw.
Nice job, I'm playing similar repoitoire but for the 19th chopin competition in warsaw. Keep in mind when playing chopin, use chopin technique. Crane, alignment, rotation, always use wrist.
I love The emphasys de on The left hand in many moments on The first one. It is easy to give too much importante to The right hand. Impressive performance
while the nocturne wasn't my taste 100% it was super passionate and had beautiful clarity respect also i really like how you didnt rush towards the ending you look like u were in a trance
If you tell this is the medium o low level of the competition, man thats gonna be amazing. You played everything better than I expected when I saw the video
Thanks! The competition I applied to is the U.S Chopin National Competition, held a few months before the Warsaw International competition (which I will also send my application to) each 5 years. It will be live-streamed at www.youtube.com/@chopinfoundationoftheunite8079/videos from Jan. 3-12, 2025.
Congratulations!!! Smooth as silk, also liked how you didn’t try to play the F# m prelude too fast, well done, good luck in Miami! I wish I could be there :)
I'm suprised you picked the octave etude. I feel like your technique would be more suited to something like 10 7, 10 10, or 25 5 given your playing of the ballade and the nocturne.
You'd be surprised how complicated the octave etude is to play. The more quiet parts are as per usual incredibly complicated in comparison to the already straining beginning and ending. You can't afford mishaps with this one
May i suggest to bring the inner voicings out in the study in a minor a little more. I like to think of my pinky and thumb as a mallet to bring out a beautiful harmonic iner melody amoungst the storm. Goodluck brother
@jord.t_piano Yes it's definitely a big challenge to have all 6 notes come out in that Etude. I've made a lot of progress with it since then so I'm excited to re-record it for the Chopin International Competition in Warsaw.
I have positive comments for the ballade as well. Apart from the odd finger slip i love the way you captured the spirit of the peice and the coda was bone chilling
It's not that you play the Ballade, it's how you play it. Only the best in the world get into the Chopin Competition. It's a long and difficult way there, im a pianist and 16 too :D
No, this is my submission to the U.S Chopin National Competition in Miami, which is held a few months before the Warsaw Competition of the same year. I will be sending an updated submission to the International Competition in Warsaw!
The Op. 48 nocturne is one of Chopin's most profoundly moving compositions. Always brings me to tears.
I could only wish. The runs are perfect. The feel is right on. Looking forward to hearing more

The Ballade in F is a close 2nd to the nocturne op. 40 no.1 in its heart wrenching tenderness. Played beautifully here.
You're truly an inspiration, the dedication goes crazy

Beautiful ballade
Original playing starting to come back in our generation!
This is my first hearing of Lucas Sha. My impression? Highly talented! He should become a world class pianist.
