    Your cutting wheel blew because you flexed it. If you put side torque on these at all they bind, crack and explode. They’re designed like that so they don’t lock up or kick back as hard on you.
    Cut straight, and they don’t like to cut through thick wall stuff. But yea wear safety gear.

    I need to look at Craigslist in their area , around here a $5,000 C10 will be tired , beaten and primered.
    And yes that rearend has been changed , only 4x4's got 6 bolt axles, half-tons like the poster's should be 5x5 bolt pattern all around.

    Personally, I don't like the looks of a lowered truck. And it defeats the purpose of having a truck in the first place, hauling things...

    • @WhoThisGuy515
      @WhoThisGuy515 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine had about 5in of ground clearence after i lowered it and do all types of hauling (engines and transmissions, car trailers, gravel ect) and never have an issue hauling any of it. Actually makes it easier having it lower getting things in and out being lower. If i think i'm going to put anything more then 1000lbs in the bed i'll put the progressive bump stops in, rides nice and never bottoms out.

      look wise yeah it's different person to person. I don't care for slammed trucks or huge trucks with big lifts. 4in lower or higher is about as much as i like. I was more talking about the way you said that lowering a truck ruins the ability to haul things, which ive never had an issue with. I own my lowered C1500 for hauling and trailer pulling and a slightly lifted 77 power wagon with front and rear lockers, 33s, if i need to go off road or down some of these old rock and mud back roads in the mountains.

    I don't see why you wasted putting a lowering kit on the back with a 6 lug rearend, I would have looked for a 1973-1981 12 bolt rear end 5 lug setup..

  • @lilgruvyskrrrt
    @lilgruvyskrrrt 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ofcourse the rear ends been changed. Rear axle on a 73-98 c10/c1500 isn't 6 lug. They're all 5x5 or 5x127 for those years.

      @@victoroneill7924 exactly. Only 4x4's came 6 lug. 4x2s were 5 lug from 73-98. Heavy half tone is only a 4x4 option. My c10 has some of the heavier duty parts as factory options but its far from a heavy half ton. Doesn't matter if its a Silverado, custom deluxe, Cheyenne, ect.)
