    Never buy a fish that is already cut... Cleaning a fish doesn't take more then a minute. Buy the fish as is taken out of the sea, and cut and clean it yourself. That way you can be sure that the fish is still healthy and fresh... If you buy the fish, non cut, you can see the eyes of the fish. If the eyes are not sharp or clear, that is a sign that the fish is not fresh. Also you can understand from the skin. It should look tight and healthy...

      This is not true in the case of Pacific salmon. Troll caught gutted salmon are always the premium priced catch. They are gutted, all else left as is, and iced/chilled right away. I know as I was a commercial salmon fisherman on the west coast of Canada.

      Yes, the Norwegians brought fish farms to our coast also. Lots of toxins and lice infecting wild stocks. I am totally against fish farming.

      The Norwegians brought salmon farming to our coast also. Toxins, disease, and sea lice are infecting our wild stocks. I am against fish farming and would never eat farmed fish. The flesh is very mushy.
