I feel your salt YD. Memes aside, RNG is absolute garbage in this game. From rates to gears, to stat rolls, to skill procs. It's infuriating how that Kayron with a single-digit eff res was able to deny that strip.
The Jaga Rng? Rng is vital in these types of games. However, the problem is having such high/lowrolls possible (landing defense break since 70% is just retarded, resisting a cc, assist in the attack, taking extra turn and so on). Other games have that too, but "better" games distribute the rng in a better way. I don't really know how the resistance formula works (hope it's not just a plain substraction) but that does also dictate major consistency. Basically in order to keep the game fresh you have to distribute the variance on many non game breaking elements, and that's what feels "wrong" with the game. A lot of this has to do with the fact the game is copied over the skeleton of SW, so it has inherited the major flaws too Edit: there are better ways (in form or more complicated math formulas) for the accVSres check, and the elemental affinity follows the same dumb antiquated design. They don't follow or interact with how you build or what you do, it's artificial variance and therefore is really annoying for the player
@@Luca48882 The resistance formula is indeed literally just subtraction, with resistance never going below 15% for reasons that were unfathomable back when it was in Summoners War and doubly unfathomable now. My biggest wish is that they'd cut out the 15% minimum and just bake the 15% into the actual effect resist stat so units with 100%+ effectiveness wouldn't get RNG memed to death over and over again. Shit is ridiculous.
@@nutera2028 It probably needs to be more complicated than that. You can never allow 100% of cc or debuffs as it makes the game unfun and matchups decided only by stats. Units should NEARLY always have a chance to resitst, but it should be built towards, and not a thing you just have to deal with. So you can 100% cc or debuff a glass cannon, but not a bruiser or support (because they should build at least a little bit of res when needed). That should be integrated with dispels and other mechanics. The fact that game heavily relies on defense break limits this rule (some games have cut it totally and it feels way less swingy).
