Aww Alex sorry to see you in such discomfort! I sprained my back a few years ago lifting a kayak onto the roof racks of my parents Honda CR-V and it took me six months to fully recover, and I was exactly in the same situation as you're in now. As a person who deals with mental health challenges also, it doesn't help matters but just keep reminding yourself that you will recover and you will get the jobs done with the cars, even if it takes longer than you planned. Dan in Australia xx
Hi Alex, So sorry to see you in pain like this, believe me when I say I know how you feel. I too am a sufferer, caused by much the same as yourself. So I have to take care as well. I find that a hottish bath helps me, plus I thought of a way to manipulate myself and attack the pain at the source. Whilst laying on my back I arch my hips and place my right hand palm down underneath the point of pain and then arch my hand upwards so that the knuckles come into contact with the affected area. It works for me, also I do some excersises every morning given to me by a local Chiropractor, first one is 12 hip thrusts whilst on my bacl, followed by 12 knee bend and pulls. Again while on your back you put your knees up, like you had them in your video, and then pull them towards you with your hands 12 times, thus stretching your spine. But you must do these religously every morning before you get out of bed. Again this works for me. I've been doing this for around 15 years or so now, even when I was travelling around yhe UK trade plating. I think what didn't help my back was when I was clambering in and out of trains and walking on ballast in order to carry out various rules and regulations. I hope this helps you. Oh, when you're in the bath laying down place a bath sponge if you have one, preferably one of those with a course side, and place it course side up so that it's in contact with the affected area. It acts as a pressure relliever. Of course we humans were never ment to be standing up ram rod straight, you don't see Gorillas, Orangutans, Chimpanzees or any of the monkeys with a bad back, do you?😁 I really hope you feel better soon dear Alex. As ever, take care of your self and just go easy. Jon Barnes. x
Bless you Alex I feel your pain after 50 years in the trade my backs knackered and I have to be really careful now the only remedy I found was dosing myself up with iberprohen for a few days good luck speedy recovery x
sorry for your pain i suffer with my back too after i injured it at work i found the best thing to do is to rest it and move about as little as possible Nurofen is good for back pain .
Hi you poor lamb ere top this one I once had a big old land rover 101 x mill g s got the spare out (behind) the driver about 6 foot up it came out on me (slip disk) get well soon ❤
Sorry to hear you have hurt your back Alex, back pain is the absolute worst 😢. I found that a few visits to the osteopath helped the healing process massively for me when I did mine in. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Hey, listen to me you will get your P6 (dear Mr. Jenkins!) finished but maybe not until he is good and ready. I am absolutely certain you will do this. In the meantime I will offer no advice save to say have yourself professionally examined - physio, chiropractor whstever it takes just do it. If it takes money then let us know and we will help crowdfund for you - just find out and say the word. I miss being under the car with you and was looking forward to the work on Jessie's leaf springs unless I missed it already. Positive thinking, young Alex. You have much yet to do and achieve and you will do so. Take care
Oh Alex, you look in so much pain Sending you big hugs.I would suggest if I may some professional help to ease the pain and to prevent any further damage being done. 🤗🤗🤗🤗 In many ways you are an inspiration to us. Please keep us updated. `The procedure you are talking about does work, my grandson has done it to me and it is worth trying.
Get to a chiropractor! I had similar to you about 10 years ago now and couldn't move it's horrendous Pain killers only mask the problem and all the doctor did was give an A4 page of exercises which I couldn't do I had no option but to go to a chiropractor and within 3 or 4 visits I was back to normal again, I'm sure it would work wonders for you Good luck & get well soon
Hi alex, God I feel for you a few months back my back went completely I could not move what I eventually did was get the pole well my wife did out the wardrobe and I used that to walk around the house, I'd spend.a few mins at a time increasing it as time went on I also would lay on the bed on my.side for a.couple hrs each day and I would then do very slow walking with the pole it took I'm afraid weeks I now.have a walking stick in case it goes again. I also used deep releaf creams deep freeze. And volterol. As well try and smile as I go suffer mental health they say laying on a hard floor does not help now . I hope you get some releave f from pain soon. I used to have 3 p6s
Hi Alex from Ireland. I hope your back feels better soon. I know exactly what you've going through and I recently did my back in. I tried laying on my wooden floor at home to try and somehow make it better , but I couldn't get back up. My son thought it was funny and called me Jimmy from South park 😂 I don't know if you get them but the spasms are a nightmare. I worked at restoring and polishing marble floors, but unfortunately I can't do that anymore, because that was the cause of my back problems. The best thing is time. Anyway try not to twist your back until its fully better. Best wishes ❤
Got further into the video..if it goes on too long you are going to need to get properly checked out, a MRI scan to see what the situation is with nerve compression in your back. Please, please get well soon x
Hope you feel better soon. As others have said, chiropractor visit would be helpful to start with. They will give you some exercises to strengthen the weaker muscles to help stop this going forward. Longer term, yoga will be very helpful. Finally, is there anywhere you can “hang” - support your weight on your arms and let your body hang. That will relieve the pressure on your spine. Good luck
Bulging disc in your back touching your nerve, it will take a couple of weeks to go down. Keep taking the ibuprofen, it builds up in your system and reduces inflammation. Keep moving as much as you can but do try to get a scan to check it is not something more serious. I have a Pars defect now after years on the tools so I am done!
I wonder would a jacuzzi in the local swimming pool place ease your back pain. I sympathise with you as I've had back pain before. For me, time was the only healer. Not into tablets. I found wearing a belt helped me from suffering a relapse, im no expert but different things work for different people. Best wishes from Ireland 👍
I hope you're soon feeling better. Back pain has to be up there with tooth ache as one of the most horrible pains there is. Keep trying to do some stretching exercises and walking and stay positve.
Best to see a chiropractor or osteopath, but in the meantime you could try an ice pack where the pain is worst, it should help the inflammation. Wrap it in a towel though to avoid frost bite (ask me how I know🥶) Best of luck with it Alex.
Sorry to see this. Please get to see a doctor soon if you can. It’s horrible to see you in pain. You might get some help going forwards or at least get some pain medication to ease the agony. Look after yourself.
Hi Alex oh mate, I'm sorry to hear you've hurt your back, try panadol advance tablets, and sit in a chair and see if you can left legs one at a time, yes you need physiotherapy Alex, I have sciatica in my back, and one day I trapped a nurve in my back, my best advice I can give you my friend is get somebody to massage your back, and lay on back knees together and gently side to side, I know it hurts but it works, and it's going to take a while, I'm sorry to hear your health isn't great on and off, I would take immune support tablets or dissolvable tablets that you can drink, that will help with your health, I hope I've helped you. Keep an eye out for me in my green Morris 1100 around Yate. Take care. X
Easily done I'm afraid, even picking something up with legs at an unusual angle. As with other post, worth trying a chiropractor, but from now on your will definitely think before you pick up something heavy. A bugger really, considering all your projects you have on the go.
So sorry to hear about your injury Alex, may you have a quick recovery!

Know how you feel Alex! My back has a habit of going at the most in opportune times due to collapsed vertebrae and bone pressing onto the spinal cord!
Ouchy!
That's terrible. You could do with some co-codamol to help with the pain. What a shame this has happened, poor you x
Gat well soon Alex.
I've had a prolapsed disc issue for 40 years.
I attend a chiropractor regularly. You should obtain ip
Ibuprofen every 4 hours. A pillow between the legs. You sleep on the side that's not hurting on the best possible bed you can.
Get well
I hope you're soon feeling better. Back pain has to be up there with tooth ache as one of the most horrible pains there is. Keep trying to do some stretching exercises and walking and stay positve.
Having had 2 back surgeries, I totally understand your pain. Sounds a little like a pinched sciatic nerve. Go see a doctor ASAP!
Alex that pain relief gel can help , just an idea .

Best of luck with it Alex.
Chiropractor. I used to have problems with my back and I found that only a visit to the chiropractor could fix it.
Excellent. Stay strong. Let me come to visit you for one month and I'll help you with your back. Stay tuned and stay strong 💪
Hi Alex I hope you feel better soon ,have you got strong pain killers
Those i have are not touching it 🥺
Sorry to see this. Please get to see a doctor soon if you can. It’s horrible to see you in pain. You might get some help going forwards or at least get some pain medication to ease the agony.
Look after yourself.
I'm no doctor, but you may need welding.
😆
🤣
That's awful, get well soon.
You should try heat and ice packs intermittently. Getting I a cold pool then hot bath after
Hope your job is understanding with the amount of time you have off work.
It worries me immensely, but i have been told not to worry and it is what it is. It's not as if I'm lying

The injury may not be the same as you had before. You may have a prolapsed disc. Seek proper advice
Take it easy and get well. Wait till you reach my age ;)
I am sorry to see you like this, cant you get help from a ciropractor
Maybe. Getting there will be hard
Get some rest on a flat surface, but also a little walking. It’s no fun.
Get to a physio!😊
You might need some alcohol
😱
