  • I’m going to Busan on Day 12 of 30 in South Korea. This is my travel day from Seoul Station to Busan Station.
When I first arrived in Seoul, I took the bus to my hotel instead of taking the airport train to Seoul Station then the subway to my hotel. If I had done that on the day I arrived, I would have definitely gotten lost.
On Day 9, I went to Seoul Station to purchase my KTX ticket to Busan.
I went off the grid for my trip in South Korea. I deleted almost every app on my phone and I did not purchase data while I was there. I didn’t want to be influenced when I was traveling in the country. I tried not to use my phone to look up directions, only if I really got lost, I would use it sparingly. I wanted to be self guided.
I wanted to show you that Seoul Station is crazy! And, I'm from NYC. I was shocked, I went on a Saturday to purchase my train ticket at the KTX Ticket Booth.
Since this was my first solo trip, I will say, it was hard. Looking back, I should have done more research. I did not realize how long it would take on the subway once I got to Busan Station to my hotel, but I made it!
I've been trying to capture as much of South Korea for my memory. I'm happy I was able to see the other landscapes of the countryside on the way to Busan.
What I learned on this trip.
    Solo Travel Tip:
You have to be ready to do everything by yourself.
Pack less, don’t bring anything too heavy or bulky. If you need something, buy it there. You have to be able to carry everything up stairs, run and place above your seat or under your seat.
The less weight you carry around the happier you’ll be on travel days.
    Thanks for watching!
