@@OmerSaidtr It really does, brother. I'm not against the ancient graphics, that has the charm. The problem lies in the severely outdated and dumb as all hell AI.. RVGL team doesn't care to make improved one despite having access to the code - I say this from experience as I was on the server for an year or two on end and once asked that question. It's genuinely disappointing to see that kind of response.
When I was a child, my grandfather and I used to play re-volt 0-24 in the summer. He always played with the Zipper, and I used the Bertha Ballistics. Man... I wish he could see this

They don't have the IP to do that. But if the game will be moddable and good, players could make them as mods

@@avanillagarden Re-Volt rights were sold off to "WeGo" a Korean game dev, WeGo went bankrupt and the former dev formed Superday and currently holds the rights to Re-Volt from what I could find online. So Unless Anqitue Cat is Superday rebranded, they don't have those rights. I think they did have the rights it would likely use Re-Volt in the name for name recognition alone. But you are right, I can't find shit on Antique Cat. Not a single website for either them or the game, just the steam page for this game

i just hope the physics don't suck ... when people do RC games cars feel like they weight a TONE and the sense of speed is just bad .... i really enjoyed RE-VOLT my fav racing game so much fun
you've got a point but I think its more fun to race like RC mini racers than Re-volt
Watching them take those corners almost at full speed on the steam page looks like they got the weight down pretty good.
It might handle like the recent Hot Wheels games because it uses the Unreal Engine
Rc cars can feel "weighty" irl, but they still only weigh like 10lbs on average, so theyre darty and quick as anything with a ton of grip
I also hope optimization doesn't suck when seeing the map details and considering it'll be a "online racing game"

The nice thing is it would work perfectly with any modern controller because of the two sticks.

No way.... Just the other day I was telling my dad about when I was still a little kid, I used to play re-volt. That game was my childhood(I'm pretty sure it was a lot of people's childhood.) and that I wished there was something remotely similar to it. And now, I stumble across this!!! Subscribed and added the game to my wish list. I look forward to this game!

Didn't play Re-Volt but loved RC Revenge. Will absolutely be checking that out.
RC Revenge Pro ruined what made Re-Volt as good as it was brother.. Majority of people who have played Re-Volt will tell you that RC Revenge Pro does not even compare. It's like comparing 1nsane/Insane from Invictus Team and Codemasters from 2000 to Insane 2 by Targem Games and Game Factory Interactive from 2011. 2 games with similar, yet almost entirely different gameplay and feeling way too different from one another.
We need Micro Machines! Played that on the Sega Mega Drive all day back in the 90s.
Finally a sequel to Sierra's "3DUltra" RC car racing game from 20 years ago.
It's obviously inspired by Re-Volt.

I hope that it will, but something tells me that it's unlikely. Several other RC games, both modern and old have proved themselves to be an failure to take away the crown from Re-Volt as of yet.

This is literally Re-Volt! I used to love playing that game on the Dreamcast and PC back in a day. This is the kind of games that I miss creative experimental games that doesn’t need to be some blockbuster AAA game.

Unreal Engine 5 means that if you don't have an great, modern PC, it will probably run like trash. I wouldn't have your hopes up too much.

Please PLEASE take notes from the Re-Volt soundtrack! That OST is legendary.
Heck yeah! I still listen to it, even all these years later. One thing fun about it that you don't even notice in game, is that all the songs actually lead directly into one another. So if you listen to them back to back its basically one long song.
If anything, Please gave us chase cam like Re-Volt and top down camera like RC de Go. This sh*t literally gave me goosebump.
I'm sold.

I was 12 and in the summers I used to visit my granny's house. My uncle had this game on his computer along with The Transformers and NFS porsche edition and I played these games to my heart's fullest.

Finally, I can relive my childhood memories of watching my neighbours play with their RC’s behind a window.
I remember fighting with my brother taking turns to play Re-Volt. Ma would set the kitchen timer to 1hr so we can play. Remember that one day my turn was too short and found out my brother touched the timer to shorten it, i did the same then and he found out. He broke the fcking keyboard so i couldnt play, so i grabbed my Winnie Pooh plushie hit him with it and broke his brackets(idk how).
Mom came back to pure chaos, i still remember the slaps and the slaps the day after when she got the bill for bracket repair.

Wow, a wave of nostalgia just slapped me across the face. I remember playing the demo sooooo much when i had a monthly subscription of the offical dreamcast magazines. Life was simple & joyous 😊.
There is just something about toy sized games that just hits ya right in the childhood.
Brings back the feelings of the 3DO Army Men games, ps1 Toy Story, lego racers, and all that.
Games like this, hot wheels unleahsed, hypercharged unboxed, and even grounded all bring back those feelings of the games we played as kids.
Ho boy, all my childhood came back, re-volt was so cool, can't wait to play this remake (kinda) in HD!

No fricking way! Ever since i was a kid i have had a memory of this game and could never remember what it was called. Throughout the years ive tried to find what the game was and only in the last few years started to think it was a surreal dream based on the ending of Toy Story 1. So glad it wasn't just a dream and that this is getting a remake.
this is how you do a reboot. it took us two decades of this crap but finally one developer does it right. lets hope they dont fuck it up.

RE-volt had some specific ways the cars handled, like toys, but once you got the hang of it, the physics were really good. The racing was just awesome. I hope they nail this one because its not just some racing game, it nailed all aspects, great tracks, hard AI, Difficult handeling hard to perfect, crazy pick ups, short cuts.. man! They should ask the help of bugbear, those guys rule at making race games.
Please don't forget the track editor, that was so fun to create hundreds of tracks in one year
I'm totally excited for this, huge Re-Volt fan. Please make the RC cars go faster though, they just seem a bit sluggish. If you put the playback speed to 1.5 it is a bit better, also need some torque in these RC cars, have them rip the tracks.
Still can't wait for the final product, a for sure buy.
Re-Volt is my most-played game, and yesterday I uploaded my 607th episode on it of a TH-cam series that's been going for 10 years. Someone recommended me to this trailer, but my low expectations were met. I don't expect this to play well at all, if it ever comes out. But it's nice to see people try, I guess. :)
