Unpacking is a zen puzzle game about the familiar experience of pulling possessions out of boxes and fitting them into a new home. Part block-fitting puzzle, part home decoration, you are invited to create a satisfying living space while learning clues about the life you’re unpacking.

What's really frustrating is when you've put something exactly where you want it but the game tells you that it's wrong.

@@fedos I don't mind this game having set places for certain things, but I do wish finishing the game unlocked a mode where you could put whatever you want wherever you want.
@@erinidum There is actually a mode for this. In settings there should be a box that says 'puzzle mode' and uncheck it. you should then be able to place things wherever you want, and you don't have to complete the game for it. :)

The end: I think the Swanky apartment belonged to a boyfriend. The super fancy look of all his stuff next to the colorful/quirky/average look of the player's stuff, pluse the award going under the bed seems to signify it wasn't a good match. Not sure if it was marriage/divorce, or just a breakup, but it definitely seems like the player character broke up with their man and had to move back to their childhood home.

As a digital artist, hearing you repeatedly call what was probably a $1000+ drawing tablet at the time an 'etch-a-sketch' was surely something 🤣I do think it likely that they broke up at the end, and probably better off for it. Seemed like all of the character's stuff got shoved in small spaces or out of the way.

There's some space left on the weight rack in the TV room for the 2010 apartment. I wonder if it would let you put there green weights there.
My husband looked at me like i had three heads cause I said I wanted this game lol livinf in a house with a toddler and a child and new born..and HUSBAND nothing is where i wanted it or put it..so this game is what i need.
This game is super meaningful to me and mirrors many of my own moves over the same period of time. The many Nintendo consoles revealing the passage of time was particularly on point. I am in this game and I like it very, very much.
