My wife actually got me my first porcelain BJD (the video unboxing is also on youtube) and she got it for me before I ordered this doll for her. Soo, I did have incentive! But also, I just knew she'd like having some wonderful little representation of her favorite book character so it was a natural thing to do!
Not ridiculous, I just laughed a little when the eye mech snapped and you were worried, because it's supposed to do that. You got a great custom for your wife back in 2016! Not sure how on earth you can match that in 2019!

They are lovely and expensive. But getting a custom one is the way to go because when you finally do get one, you can make it just the way you want. I have very weird colored eyes, but this is such a compliment. Oh to be able to change our eye color with a button!
