Worked as stage assistant for him in 2007 and it was one of the best days in my life. He is a real professional and a very kind person. Forget the ego bullshit, he is a perfectionist. As soon as things are in the way he needs for his show, he becomes a very gentle giant. And damn, he is tall.
Yngwie is the BOSS! I'M 74 and been digging your style since you were young! I finally play a Yngwie Strat and trying to wear it out...!!! Keep Rockin Yngwie Luv ya Bro From Sunrise Florida!
Say what you want about him, you can like him or not, but even today, after almost 20 years from the start of You Tube, after watching hundreds of thousands of videos with guitarists of different ages and from all over the world, his style is inimitable! Any enthusiast of this music who wakes up in the middle of the night after 3 seconds will immediately recognize the song - yeah that's Yngwie! The smoothness of him playing arpeggios and sweeps is still unbeatable.
Only person who deserves a signature is someone who can tell you how the instrument has evolved over the years and why it's special to them. Always great to hear you!!!!!!
I´m listening to him all my life and I so appreciate that he stayed true to himself. He is a real artist , creating his own genre with a passion that is combined with a major talent and a gazillion hours of practicing. He will never be surpassed. BR from Germany Tobias
One of the greatest guitarists of all time! Probably the greatest vibrato of all time! No one else combines so much technique with so much passion and feel, and created their own instantly recognisable sound. Black Star is one of the greatest compositions for guitar ever. What a legend!
I can’t believe it. In a few weeks from now I’m gonna buy the YJM signature and Fender did this video just in time 😍 The Malmsteen stratocaster is the most beautiful guitar ever made. Piece of art!
When he said he was 'so honored' it was his best moment. Humility goes a long way bra. He deserves every ounce of credit and belongs in the pantheon of most influential guitaists of all time.
Years are passing Yngwie, and you still have enthusiasm and happieness of little child while talking about guitars or playing them. That's what makes you the best, at least for me.
I am 50 years old, and I listen to Yngwie since 1984. I have never stopped listening to him and will never stop. For me, there is no argument that he is the best electric guitar player. This is for #Fender Yngwie J. Malmsteen is the reason ı like Fender Stratocaster guitars. He is the reference line for the rock music. Lots of things changed. Bands changed their music styles to remain relevant. Yngwie has always been there for true listeners with his unique style. So many people will not agree with me, I know, but for me, Yngwie is the biggest Fender Stratocaster player.
25 years ago I heard Malmsteen for the first time. I was blown away as I love classical music and also rock and electric guitar. Fast forward to today, and I realise more and more how much I like his music and entertaining, larger than life personality
Over 30 years ago, I performed 'Far Beyond the Sun' at my high school talent show, earning a standing ovation. Fast forward to my 30th reunion where I caught up with an old friend. She mentioned her 12-year-old son's obsession with a challenging guitar piece by a Swedish artist she couldn't quite pronounce. When I asked, 'Is it Yngwie?' her face lit up. I followed with, 'Is it Far Beyond the Sun?' To her surprise, I showed her a clip I uploaded to TH-cam from an old VHS tape of me playing that very song. It's incredible to see Yngwie Malmsteen's work still inspiring new generations, and it's a testament to his enduring talent.
Im really glad. Yngwie looks super awake with fire in his eyes. He’s so passionate about his guitars. And he seems in good shape. Respect and all the best!
I turn 50 next month and I've been listening to Yngwie since I was a teenager in the 80s. Still blows me away to this day, from the Alcatrazz days up to present day, he's still the undisputed Master of the Stratocaster. Carlo 👍🏼🎸
Hardly any guitarist ever talks about his guitars or rather doesn't know them as well as he does!! A Genius, a Master, a Visionary, a timeless guitarist, no man will ever play a guitar like him again, thanks to him my passion for the guitar and his talent pushes me to play like him every day. Thank God for your talent.
I remember hearing Yngwie's first album, which had just been released, as if it were yesterday. One of my best friends had bought the disc, and we sat in his living room with our jaws on the floor as we listened to track after track. Little did we know at the time, that my friend, Wally Voss (RIP), would soon be playing Bass guitar with Yngwie on tour. Thanks for all of the music and the memories !!!
I got an Yngwie series strat a couple of years ago, best guitar I have ever played or owned. I love the scalloped neck and the tones the pickups get are perfect.
YNGWIE is STILL the freaking G.O.A.T!!! ( Greatest of All Time). Not just a Virtuoso Master Guitarist 2nd to NONE, but a true Master COMPOSER and Musical WIZARD. He also has THE coolest songs ever written about fighting EVIL ( In the Name of God, from Attack, Fight the Good Fight from Para Bellum) - Still my musical HERO - Hard Fan of over 35 years. His concerts are so good it is INSANE. I literally freaking CRIED I was so inspired. ( I was 5 feet from the stage) Told my little brother, the next time he tours, I'm taking him and paying for the ticket. :) YJM guitars are the BEST, I own one. Can't put it down. The thing is freaking EXCALIBER on STEROIDS. My guitar instructor borrowed one from Fender and wants to run off with it hahaha. We are taking up a collection to buy him one he totally deserves it. Nice guy, great player. LOVE this video, I think YNGWIE used to work for a Luthier, so his knowledge of guitars is off the charts. And like myself he likes CLASSICAL Music. :) I admit it, I'm a classical music nerd and PROUD OF IT of it. :) "To play a wrong note is insignificant, but to play without passion is inexcusable" - Ludwig Von Beethoven
I was fortunate to see his beginnings in the US with Steeler, Alcatraz, and of course Rising Force. I met him briefly at an Alcatraz show and he told me "buy the album". I said I already had! 😂 What a legend no one like him ever! He inspires me myself and my playing for 40+ years. Love the video he is the greatest to me \m/
We used to make fun of each other for liking his playing but then played the albums when no one was around. Dude really is one of the best out there and his genuine love of the instrument always shines through in interviews
All I can say is the Yngwie Fender "scalloped" Strat, is the BEST Stratocaster in my collection.🎸It's so amazing to play, you can feel how Yngwie feels with it. I could not ask for more. If there's only one suggestion or request I would like to add is, please add another Fret to make it 22, because sometimes I can't use it on other songs with a solo reaching for 22 frets.🙏 (Yeah bending is great, but that one fret is better.)🔥 *YNGWIE MALMSTEEN* is the Best and my favorite guitarist EVER.🤘
Maestro still kills it. The power, precision, and showmanship that Yngwie displays is a testament to his drive to play his own style. My favorite guitarist alive today.
Some people say that you can't play metal with Strats, but every single one of my favorite players uses Strat. It's hands-down the best sounding and most versatile electric guitar ever build.
My sister introduced me to your music in the late 80s. I was 18, and I loved your sound . Then babies and life came in between I'm a granny now, and today I came across your channel . Wow, it takes me back. You sound and look great, thank you for your inspiration and contribution to music .💓🎶
THE MAESTRO. Truly a great representative of Fender and the Stratocaster. Malmsteen and the strat are iconic and inseparable. I hope he continues to inspire us all to great tone and passion for guitar for years to come.
You can tell he really comes to life when the subject is guitars, and more specifically his own collection. His joy and love for guitars is contagious.
I’m so glad fender put this together, and I can’t think of a better ambassador for the Stratocaster. I mean come on, Miami landscape, red Ferrari with a Rolex laden hand on the shifter, and a collection of Strats - Fender nailed it! 🤘🏻 🎸
People Rockin' in the Free World!
It feels like YJM is experiencing a resurgence of interest and appreciation in his music and massive talent - headline interviews appearing all over the internet and beyond. Awesome!
I have listened to his music all my life and he was my inspiration to start playing guitar... although I will never be able to be at his level. I'm just a few days away from getting my first Yngwie Malmsteen Signature, just a few days away from fulfilling one of my dreams! My guitar playing is inspired by Yngwie and that makes me very happy. When I found out that his “solos” were improvised I was a bit frustrated.... they are amazing, but that only reinforced my admiration.
I bought my Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Signature in 1997 while listening to your albums over and over again. Since then, it has always had that same vanilla scent. I simply adore it, close to my soul, man.
Fantastic! Great story - d'uh - Yngwie is one of the handful of players who literally changed the entire game; one of the players your friends would put on and say "have you heard THIS?" and from that moment on 'BOOM' it was a whole new realm of possibilities! Fantastic video! I'm glad to see Fender getting onboard with putting their story out there.
Malmsteen has been a daily part of my life since AA powered Walkman cassette players were a thing. I appreciate your music tremendously. God bless you sir!
Nice to see the maestro coming out of his shell, usually so shy and retiring. 🫠 Yngwie is a rare thing, an innovator, you can count them on one hand. Thanks for keeping me inspired and entertained since the 80’s. 💃🏽🕺🏽🍻🍻
I grew up listening to the absolute best like Clapton, Gilmore and Knoppler, who inspired me to start playing but Yngwie was the one who inspired me to up my game and get passionate about it.
That was awesome....Yngwie's tone, intonation, and choice of notes are always perfect....A master guitar player!!! Truly one of the greats....A true original!!!
My favorite Yngwie moments: “Icarus Dream Suite” “Hiroshima Mon Amour” The song “Marching Out” Yngwie hasn’t grown musically in 30+ years, and he’s become sloppy. BUT, I listen to his first 4 albums all the time, and his Vibrato is STILL the best in the business. He’s quite a character, and has given us incredible music. I’ll always appreciate him! “What?! Less isn’t more! MORE IS MORE!!!”
I could listen to him playing for hours. But i could also listen to him talking about guitars for hours. He really knows the instrument like few people.
This is the quality filming that Yngwie deserves. High quality camera and audio, really makes his story shine.
Worked as stage assistant for him in 2007 and it was one of the best days in my life. He is a real professional and a very kind person. Forget the ego bullshit, he is a perfectionist. As soon as things are in the way he needs for his show, he becomes a very gentle giant. And damn, he is tall.
Wow, looks like Yngwie is really taking care of himself. Glad to see it !! We want our guitar heroes to live forever !!
I love how he genuinely loves talking bout his Strats.... his smile is so genuine! What a great and unique player!
Yngwie is the BOSS!
I'M 74 and been digging your style since you were young!
I finally play a Yngwie Strat and trying to wear it out...!!!
Keep Rockin Yngwie

Watching Yngwie play the Strat is like watching Thor the Thunder God wield Mjolnir.
You can’t imagine one without the other.
Greatest Guitarist of ALL TIME 🔥💯🌟
One of the greatest guitarists of all time! Probably the greatest vibrato of all time! No one else combines so much technique with so much passion and feel, and created their own instantly recognisable sound. Black Star is one of the greatest compositions for guitar ever. What a legend!

And listen to those versions of Far Beyond the Sun and Black Star in the background… Still magical after all these years 🙌
Seeing Yngwie live was a defining moment for me. That Strat is an extension of his body and soul. Truly amazing.
Yngwie’s music will never go out of style. I started to liked playing leads because of Yngwie. Long live the Maestro!
Dude is shredding in the background the entire interview. Legend!
Amazing legacy in all respects, and still going strong. Rock on Yngwie! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼

Good stuff! I'm a Les Paul guy but always appreciated the Strat especially in the hands of Yngwie. Might get one and give it a try.
I will NEVER forget hearing the Yngwie Rising Force album for the 1rst time. No one else sounds like this guy. He is still an inspiration to me!
AMAZING 😮
I now own 3 Yngwie Malmsteen signature strats. Best guitars I have ever owned!! 🤘🤘

You really love that 🎸 guitar!!! And why you love it.
That was the greatest possible tribute. Yngwie is a true hero.
Yngwie is my hero. I have two Fender Strats because of him. Love it.
With Yngwie, this is truly the Fender of the Law. ❤
It's still one of the loveliness looking strats ever.
The true musician knows what he is talking about and knows each of his instruments thoroughly.
I would spend hours listening to the Master.
One of the greatest of all time but definitely the best vibrato of all time 👌 Thank you Yngwie for your music ❤️
My favorite Yngwie moments:
“Icarus Dream Suite”
“Hiroshima Mon Amour”
The song “Marching Out”
Yngwie hasn’t grown musically in 30+ years, and he’s become sloppy.
