    Thanks for watching guys! The Mayonnaise should last about 3 days in the fridge. This is quite a small recipe as it doesn't last super long - just double it if you need loads for something!

    If you don't mind the taste, I would recommend to use rapeseed oil instead of sunflower oil whenever possible. It has a much better omega3to6 ratio (I have to check, I think it's 1:311 in sunflower an 1:6 in rapeseed), which means it's healthier, especially for vegans because we don't eat fish. The taste is nearly neutral and the price is similar to sun flower oil.
    Edit: looked it up in Niko Rittenau's book, it's 1:2 in rapeseed oil. If you understand German, I highly recommend the book to learn how to eat plant based while staying healthy. He also has a TH-cam channel.

    Not even vegan and can't eat full fat mayo (weight loss) but would still try this lol you and Madeline Olivia make these things so normal and acessible that I was able to reduce my meat intake finally, thank you ❤️

    I've heard that if you want it less greasy/oily you can put less oil and add greek yogurt or low fat yogurt. Unfortunately I never tried, but my favourite mayo that I buy at the supermarket has yogurt in it as is so delicate and good.

    I once I used rapeseed oil and couldn't believe how the flavour of mayo reminded me of McDonald's burgers. I think it's probably because the mayo they use contains rapeseed oil. It was very good!

    Do you think I could use a stand mixer instead of a blender? I’m lazy and it’s easier to clean the bowl and whisk from my mixer than my heavy 20 yr old glass blender lol

    Would almond milk work for this? What kind of benefits does the aquafaba have? I’m so interested in trying this!!!

    • @emilyrose1040
      @emilyrose1040 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know the science behind why, but aquafaba is used in a lot of vegan recipes to fluff/stiffen things, like the mayo, and for whipped cream and meringue as when you beat it it behaves like egg whites, thickening and stiffening. Almond milk doesn't whip on its own as far as I know so I don't think that would work!
