Smart bazaar aur jiomart ko to consider hi nhi kiya.
Dmart needs to open stores in east as well. We are price sensitive people. We have low income. But in long term, they need to operate like quick commerce else revenue will remain flat.

D-Mart needs to work on the following:
    1. Provide sufficient parking space for customers' vehicles.
    2. The quality of clothing has decreased over the years to increase profitability, making Zudio a preferable option. There's no comparison between Zudio's and D-Mart's clothing in terms of design, fitting, and quality.
    3. D-Mart prioritizes sales growth over quality, which customers notice.
    4. Previously, D-Mart's softy ice cream outside the store attracted long lines of customers, comparable to MacDonald's. However, the current quality doesn't even match local stores.
    5. This decline applies to multiple long-selling products at D-Mart, relatable to old customers.
Despite this, I still prefer D-Mart for monthly grocery shopping. However, if better options arise, I'll explore alternative brands without hesitation.

I personally reduced 90% of my visit to D Mart for following reasons.
    1) More spending - if i need groceries for 2k then I end up spending the above 3k primary bcoz bought unwanted things bcoz it was cheaper prices and also bought a bigger pack.
( If u remember that meem.
Mere paas ghar he bangla he gadi he..
Other guy- tu ek baar Dmart Jaa re, pata chal jayega kya nahi he😂😂)
    2) Now they also offer pizza at their shop means one more expenses added just bcoz I am going there.
    3) I need to carry these goods to home, need to carry a bag and spend on car fuel. Where as Jio Mart gives groceries almost at same price in less than 30 min which means I don't need to order a higher quantity and also save on fuel and time.
But visiting Dmart less often is still fun only thing is now I visit only those sections from where I want to buy things

They don't have proper parking so they are ready to pay around 6 crore for land for parking only. They already bought a land for new Dmart. City like Amravati where people loves to go Dmart rather buying online. Plus Dmart giving job to atleast 500 people in my city. When Dmart come people used to say small shop will close but you will find it everywhere increasing doing good business.
Eating in restaurant is better experience than ordering online except things like pizza. So it will be there for atleast 20-30 years and we can't predict future.
We have famous mobile shop here whose business almost end after flipkart and that thing you can predict that this shops won't going to survive online compitation.

DMart focuses on customers from smaller cities and towns (India 2 and 3), offering low prices and bulk deals. Quick commerce, on the other hand, serves customers in big cities (India 1), providing fast delivery and convenience.
DMart won’t be affected much by quick commerce because its customers care more about saving money than quick delivery. Quick commerce works well now because of free delivery and discounts, but it’s unclear if they’ll succeed in the long run without these offers. DMart’s low-cost strategy keeps it strong and reliable for budget shoppers.

If DMART expands to eastern India they will benefit huge with most middle and poor class living in the eastern region. Quick commerce viability is yet to be tested for longer period. Quick commerce wont be able to sell in price sensitive region, stores like DMART makes more sense there. Its not their battle to fight, IMO they should stay away from it.

Quick commerce will be limited to urgently required items for which one cannot waste time in going to D-Mart and standing there. Items like milk, bread, or any item which is needed urgently. People still prefer to go to D-Mart once in 15 days to replenish their stock at home. Quick commerce will affect the stores in the neighborhood to which we usually resort incase of urgently required items. D-Mart can easily get into quick commerce as their own stores in city can act like a warehouse for the small dark stores within the 5-10 km radius. It becomes much faster and cheaper option for Dmart than the other quick commerce platform as they will have to lease everything, even big stores. Dmart also has an advantage price. Dmart already has strong supply chain penetrated in major states. They will only need to add last node like dark store in the states where they have strong network of stores. In other states they can easily expand with their expertise.

Bro, in the current inflation scenario which is not going to cool down in future, D-Mart have their own space and price.
It's logically wrong to compare D-Mart with commerce.
Another thing is D-Mart is big company so doing quick commerce is not big deal for them, but their growth model is different and it's all depend upon store opening strategy.
In future if D-mart open more store then the margin and profit will be huge so i am okay with 12-15 % CAGR for next 3-5 year.

think in other way , In future more thing will be added like Electronics that has higher margin , some brands can have exclusive launch or exclusive product on these qc like MI mostly choose flipkart to launch their new product , so if you are loyal to product you have to buy it from that QC or respective ecommerce , QC can grow at astounding pace , they don't need to buy huge stores so market penetration would be higher and since dark store is owned by property owner itself it gives an added advantage , when the volume will increase their is more margin while operating cost will mainly remain same and they can offer better discount also, their is network effect works like if HUL is selling on blinkit dabur have to come also ITC have to come and as more and more brand come so this will bring more costumer who prefer specific brands and now this will give these QC a barganing power to ask for deep discounts from these FMCG behemoth and they can transfer that to their customer or can play price war with kiranas or even these legacy hyperstores, they are online they continually generate data like which product has maximum demand what are the products that we can sell in specific area and not on other area they can optimise their inventory according to that data , they can forecast demand , their can alter consumer preferance like youtube homepage and this can be habbit forming .

In Tier 2 cities , people love visiting such type of stores , its like outing to most of the people
Near my home , we have V mart (most of the time , customers are there )
As in tier 2 , tier 3 cities , the options to visit places for outing are minimal so still people prefer going to super marts , which is a kind of outing along with that they buy their household stuffs
Also lands are cheaper as compare to Tier 1 cities
This is something i did mailed Dmart back in 2k21 , that target state like UP, Bengal , Bihar , Jharkhand < Odisha , then u will see a good result

Quick commerce is a luxury, and not everyone will use or can afford it everytime or even need it. A large part of customers look for value which is available in stores like dmart. I am a regular customer from 10 years and I'd choose quick delivery only for highly urgent needs because they are expensive. Not to foget the experience part of shopping which is missing in quick commerce. Also, we never know how sustainable this model is. Now they might be burning investor money but once they start monetizing it, people may turn back to supermarket stores.

But if you visit dmart stores they have their regular customers intact and most of them are happy. A trend seen is those customers are less likely to use quick commerce like blinkit or instamart. Most of the dmart customers plan their entire months budget and buy at once in bulk. Long term growth is intact. I dont see any of their core customers shifting.
