Why government allows gutkha and tobacco? Reason of filthyness Who's responsibility to implement law and order and punish people who makes public places dirty? Who have that legal power of punishment
@@mrs9305 government's hands are tied. These industries employ a lot of people so banning them will make all those people unemployed. So the government only increases taxes on these products each year. There are mostly signs or laws for where not to smoke or spit but people don't care... Solution can be to treat and fine those harshly who consume these things in public unallowed places.
If Modi ji can make the whole of India bang their utensils, I am pretty sure he can also make people follow a routine of cleaning the area near their houses every weekend along with the PWD/MCD workers. The government can provide amenities like hand gloves and broomes to the people who are willing to volunteer. The Rawandan government already did this, and these community cleanup drives made Rwanda the cleanest country in Africa. Much needed video thank you Mohak ❤
he did with swachch bharat abhiyan, but people didn't care, i feel now it's more for civic sense coz honestly govt cant do much, if strict rules will be applied people will vote out govt that's why not just nda but any govt in power will not do anything, it just comes to civic sense take indore for example, same rules for everyone but it stands out coz civic sense and sense of duty
Everyday nagar nigam vehicles roam around our colony asking us to separate dry and liquid waste!! Hardly people follow that. Stop blaming government for everything. As a citizen are you doing anything to keep your city clean???
Everyone knows how a pm should work except they would not know their own duty ... An Indian maintaining cleanliness in US is totally different than what they do once they come back !! MOHAK should try cleaning his city !!

Japan has 10 times lesser population as well. GDP per capita is way ahead. Infrastructure and quality of life in Japan and India are polar opposites. Japan and India shouldn’t be put in a single sentence, it will take at least 100 years for India to catch up to Japan, given that Japan stops growing right now.
Should tell the municipality but it is whole corrupted by political misuse. Even the politics is misunderstood by politicians as power and money and being greater than normal person of the country as if he is the king. Even in popular shows like panchayat shows this as a parody

Preach ! Preach ! Nothing but the truth , this is what we need. Micro management , governments at city and state level must be given more power . I really wish Mohak can get to talk to an actual MP or MLA that is as ambitious as him to make a difference. Cleanliness ( or rather it's lack ) is the leading reason why most people want to move abroad ( other than corruption and the hollow justice system ) . Rather than fixing my problem and just movng abroad , I want to make sure that the coming generations will have something to thank me for. Let's make India a better place one at a time.
I have seen a lot of India while playing geoguessr and yes it is noticeable when near bigger city areas. I am sure that a lot of the citizens are frustrated by this problem.

The problem is the lack of acknowledgement of the whole issue as a problem in the first place by the people and the govt, it's just not a priority for either of them.
this is extremely important coz just a week ago i talked my Imam sahab about the garbage that is pilling just behind the mosque. i asked them if their is a way to get it cleaned. i asked whether this is even appropriate to have that garbage pile up at a place where people go to cleanse their soul. i even urged them to raise this issue in the next friday and its still not cleaned yet. i am guessing that i will have to take the matter in my own hand and hire some workers to get it cleaned. i also had an idea of placing some garbage bins in my colony but i feared that my efforts will not bear any fruits if people ended up stealing those bins

People are like wild sheep, they need a educated and revolutionary leader who can guide the people. Not all people can behave well but those who do not can be punished with a better law. Also changing our self will help too when people feel ashamed doing the odds in the society.
A politician from my area called my father because my father raised his voice for why we gave him vote if our streets and not cleaned. He kind of absued my father. NO HOPE FOR BIHAR
I am so sorry that your father had to deal with that . I hope that politician faces the consequences for that and sees how wrong he was to do that to a responsible citizen .
Wanna share something I'm from a small village of gaya bihar and few years ago nitish Kumar visited our village but before that only in four days they completely changed the face of my village. Our DM used to leave our village in the middle of night it was awesome but now it's same the way it used to be btw I always fight with people who do bathroom on road it's disgusting but I do and I try to make clean my place.
You know what? If the government starts making strict rules on cleanliness and bans plastic throwing, plastic burning, public littering, and spitting by imposing heavy penalties, the same democracy-loving, uncivilised population will start feeling oppressed.
In rajkot, one of the chief officer of RMC ( Rajkot municipal corporation) got caught with 50 crore rupees in his house. So corruption is the biggest issue of pollution.
but it requires proper knowledge and infrastructure which is not provided by the government. Suppose you live in a semi urban area where garbage men don't come then where would you dispose the waste you need some infrastructure. I know that this problem can collectively be defeated by people and the government but the government plays a major role. Therefore blaming only people is not correct.
There are no dustbins in public places and if there are dustbins no one to clean them public can only find and throw dust in bins but they cannot clean them

I am living in indore since i had born and my family is living here from 3 decades, whenever i watch videos in which people appreciating about the cleanness i cannot get it because we haven't noticed it how clean our city is compared to other cities, but when i went to varanasi i missed my city a lot because of the hygiene and clean road i missed, in fact our peoples are very disciplined in waste management. Civic sense is independent of the government. I don't blame people leaving the country. They want to get as far away as possible from an (mostly) uncivilized society. I once saw a hiker in France carry a few pieces of plastic he found on a mountain just to put it into the bin. He didn't complain that the government didn't have bins on the trekking route.
@NiranjanOvhal Sometimes civic sense just didn't work because 99% of people follow so called "भेड़ चाल" just like of you visit a clean house you try not to ruien it and if you visit a house that's not well maintained you behave accordingly!! You consistently raise important issues that many of us feel but often struggle to voice, and you do it with such clarity, courage, and impact. It’s refreshing to see someone using their platform for meaningful change rather than just trends and noise. You’ve proven that being a creator goes beyond entertainment-it’s about influence with purpose, and you’re setting a high standard for everyone in the space. Hi Mohak, I am from Varanasi, and for the past 10 years, our Prime Minister has also been the member of Parliament from our city, and I have seen significant changes in the city, from Temple corridors to excellent road connectivity and even cleanliness, I literally seen the landscape of my city changed in the past 10 years or so, but what I also see is people lack a lot of civic sense due to which no noticeable change is permanent. For example, if the municipal Corporation is not able to collect garbage from us specifically on any day, then everyone from my colony will easily throw their waste in an empty plot or even simply on the road. Yes, government has a lot to do, but so do we, as citizens of the country It is our responsibility as well to keep the city or the state or the country as clean as possible. Amazing video by the way.
I've been living in Varanasi for the last 2 years, and in the last two years, really nothing has changed since my first day here. The traffic is insane, roads are narrow, there's absolutely no civic sense like you mentioned, streets are dirty, people drive their vehicles on footpaths, potholes everywhere, and even a little rain is enough for water clogging. That being said anytime Modi comes to visit, they decorate the city, cover the open gutters, and put a cover (literally) on things that cannot be fixed in a day or two. Like you mentioned, this city used to be much, much worse 10 years ago apparently. Can't imagine what it was like earlier when it is unlivable right now.
Its not Modiji who would clean the cities but the people themselves. Coming from indore and travelling across india i have seen a shift in mindset of the people we have set our minds in such a way that even if we are out of our city we are not able to or think twice thrice to throw garbage here and there. Which is a major difference in keeping cities clean. So let us start small first.

But then again to totally put the blame on the PPL, is there any waste management strategy whatsoever in indian cities for people to discard their wastes properly..? Lack of civic sense is also obvious... But then again where does that stem from? Poor quality of education...?
In last decade when i was living abroad one of my Syrian friend sent his family for a treatment in Delhi & civil war was at it's peak back then but when they came back after the treatment i was expecting they to be impressed by India but to my embarrassment they told me even their war stricken Damascus felt way much better & cleaner than Delhi.

I think people needs to understand more than the government. In India these are not the government who is polluting the streets, its our own people. As for the part of Government they just need to implement proper cleaning facilities like dustbins in every kilometer and educating people by showing what cleaniness actually is in other countries and by showing how our rivers were centuries ago and how it is right now.

The same problem exists in the municipalities of Assam. My father works as an Executive Engineer in one of Assam's districts, and he often talks about these issues. One major problem is the delay in salaries-we had to go 13 months without a salary at one point. Additionally, many districts in Assam have municipalities that should be upgraded to corporations, as they have already surpassed the required population and area criteria. If these municipalities were converted into corporations, they would gain more power and access to better financial resources. I'm glad someone is creating a video to highlight these real problems in our country.
I’ve lived in three states for months, and here’s my experience: Maharashtra: Known for its efforts in cleanliness, even in a tier-3 city. A garbage truck came twice daily to collect trash, and while I occasionally saw trash mountains near my house, the local government worked hard to manage it effectively. Jharkhand (Dhanbad): Lived in a village and a tier-3 city, but never saw municipal staff or garbage collection trucks. It was one of the worst in terms of cleanliness, with trash floating everywhere. Uttar Pradesh (Gorakhpur): Having lived in over five villages and a tier-3 city, the situation was similar to Dhanbad. There was little to no garbage management, with trash left unmanaged everywhere.

I dont think any other country is facing such issues. Excellent research and approach, Mohak Bhai! If every citizen ensures cleanliness in their surroundings, we can significantly improve our current position. Additionally, the government can contribute by implementing effective measures and considering public suggestions to enhance cleanliness efforts
Yeah , less population better civic sense actually why are you worried ? People vote for caste and religion and you expect government to make laws for waste management why?
Even if modiji will clean the cities, the maintenance of them will be in the hands of the people and their mindset. I don't think that this country can improve until the people's mindset is changed. I see so many "educated" people openly throw trash and spit paan on the road, this problem will not solve until people are willing to contribute and change themselves instead of only making excuses and blaming others.
Just my thoughts, although civic sense needs to be taught and integrated, so people know their responsibility, indians are only patriotic for 2 days in a year, they don't see the country as their home, just being proud alone doesn't serve us any good.
Blame is solely not at the part of government, whereas 80% responsible for this situation is us,the citizens. Government is doing its own thing daily sweeping but our public won't change there habits and still be infuriated to the government after doing the same shit for which he is cursing the government
Nope, View the whole video carefully. he pretty much shows how we can create better systems to incentivise people. If every officer is goal oriented, they would work hard to get more revenue for the municipal corporations, enforcement departments would work hard to monitor the people breaching cleanliness standards. all these happens with laws and government is 100% responsible to create them.
Stupid take. Are the people to be blamed for things outside of their control? It's municipal's job to clean the city and maintain it. Not the people's. If you remove all laws regarding criminal activity, you can't complain and say "why don't people stop killing eachother, be responsible" because they have no incentive to be normal people.

Well respectfully speaking sir, civic sense can be gained even without degrees. It's the mindset and "niyat" that differentiates good citizens from the rest, not the level of the school system that they managed to climb up to.
Here in Chandigarh, I am happy with the government. Clean city with proper road planning and advanced technology equipped municipalities. Traffic rules are the most strict, here are 47 round about's and each one has the presence of police weather day or night. Police is patrolling everywhere, CCTV cameras are installed. Also, police has started using bodycams. But this is not the situation of each part of India and it is very concerning.
I visited Varanasi recently which is our PM own constituency and realised that this is the same India which Hollywood usually use to represent us in their movies
I live in Indore (the cleanest city), and still I find trash on almost a daily basis. The government might be doing great in Indore, but the people lack civic sense
It's important to teach it to places like musakhedi , azad nagar other backward places in indore + need of infrastructure for eg. In rajwada some places are filthy like it's muddy and places are littered.
Spot on Mohak. Really loved the research and solutions suggested. I am also one of those who had lots of hope on the India story, but slowly my hopes are dying down. Looking at corruption, filth, condition of roads, pollution, unmanaged traffic- my hopes of seeing a beautiful India, atleast in my lifetime, is completely gone. I have no hopes on anybody anymore. We are just made to work 12 months, 8 months for ourselves and 4 months for paying the corruption of government officials/system. BBMP’s sweater scam is so pathetic to know. How low can the officials drop! Bangalore’s municipality is a complete disaster and super failure, and they call this a global city, silicon valley of India. Such a beautiful and potential city, pushed to drains because of faulty policies and apathy of government systems. We as citizens also has to learn civic sense and empathy for a fellow citizen, but we all are just in some kind of a race and rage. We care keeping our own premises clean but keep the neighbourhood dirty. Strict rules should be made like Singapore where there’s zero tolerance to someone who throws dirt and for the officials who indulge in corruption and do not do their duty sincerely. TH-camrs and influencers like you can create a big impact by educating people and sending our message to the people who were bestowed power by us to serve nation. Your videos like this definitely creates impact. Continue making such videos and highlighting such major and grassroot issues till someone really is awaken from slumber to do something impactful
Bro even my family members don't understand this basic thing they always litter the trash around my house's plots and let me tell you my all family Members are highly educated but they still lack basic civic sense 😕😕
In my family everyone except my grandmother is highly educated. When we used to live in our village. Still they never threw garbage anywhere but disposed it safely and grandma even used to do cleaning 🧹 drives in every 2 weeks in locality with neighbours. They used to punish me for throwing garbage. But since we came to city I don't know what happened, my grandma now throws garbage in nearby plot saying that others are already doing this. I don't know why we care less when we live in city.
Proud of you, Mohak. You have made a nice video on the topic , to be honest yesterday while traveling on the city i had saw a mercedes from which people had thrown out food packet , forget poor or uneducated person, even the person who have got education is not utlizing it so whats the point of it , earlier my family also used to do that but i have told them not to do it again and again and then they stoped throwing trash out , i have also observed that due to lack of education people also burns trash which produces a lot of smoke , sometimes i feep go tell them but the ego the people having even education cant beat it
Thanks mohak for making this video. Would like to share my points- 1. In delhi there is no demarcation of areas... In 5 mtrs the jurisdiction change.. Ek hi jahah par jal board wala, mcd wala and delhi govt person fight karte hai... Pipe tu thik pipe tu thik kar Mcd wala road thik karta hai agle din jal board wala khod deta hai.... And if i am not wrong this is happening in every place... No sync in local authorities... Only contractors are making money. Staff shortage is also a big reasons... By a chance vacancies exams happens... Then a new scam a new paper leak... It feels like.. Hum khud hi petrol apne par daal ke aag laga rahe hai apne aap ko .. Because jitni baar paper leak hoga utni baar vacancies nahi fill hogi.. No staff no work... Baaki hum indian apna ghar saaf nahi karte jab tak koi. Mehmaan nahi aai sadak mohalla kya khaak saaf karenge. Agar koi paisa deke naukari paa bhi leta hai toh pahle woh apni cost with interest recover karta hai. Big cities are also facing garbage problem. No garbage seggrigation system.. No govt incentives for own garbage treatment.. Govt can encourage bigger developers to create garbage treatment plants in building premises only. But builder manege nahi .. Unka area waste ho jayega In case MCD put garbage bins they will be gone by night. Homeless and miscreants take them illegally and sold to local bhangarwala.. They are not concerned about cleanliness of city they are just concerned about their liquor or other destruction substance. In some cases the contractor himself does the theft... Khud hi laga ke khud hi chori phir 4-6 mahine baad same samaan price badha ke same mcd ko bech do.. And mind it this is infinite cycle. Jahan har koi dusre ki jeb kat kar sirf apna bhala chahta hai us desh ka bhala kaise hoga.. Jahan females yeh dekh kar vote kar rahi hai koun kitne paise har mahine dega wahan aap females liye clean and safe toilet kaise aspect karein. We need to change a lot to get this clean india thing... And mohak you can cross check that delhi wala. Example... Its and actual issue which is delaying all works in delhi.
Same here in banglore. Went to office first and there was garbage dumping place adjacent to office boundary. Office is in Mahadevapura My mood got spoiled on first day.
You should make a video on this topic in every 3-4 months and even all other big influencers shall do the same. We need new trends and challenges on Instagram/Twitter.
Mohak bhaiya please also make a video about stray animals in india, the hell which those innocent animals are going through and countless face road accidents daily and they have nothing to eat, they suffer in cold while we are sleeping in a blanket, they are also responsible for waste because of defecation but it's not their fault 🙏🙏
Involve private sector. Establish waste recycle plants, and give PLI Scheme like incentives to Waste Recycling Companies. Companies will earn through recycled products. Urban waste will be managed. Employment will be created. Government anyhow has to spend on cleanliness, so spend on private sector.
It can only be done when the PEOPLE OF INDIA themselves maintain cleanliness by not spitting or urinating here and there and throwing trash in the trashbins 🙌🙌
Solution to this is only by awareness by govt which is not getting done, no discipline no fines, everyone is free to throw garbage anywhere. Govt to impose challans rapidly, which govt don't want to do. Cleanliness is done only on papers and social media.

Japan has 10 times lesser population as well. GDP per capita is way ahead. Infrastructure and quality of life in Japan and India are polar opposites.
Cleanliness should be publics duty, our general public lacks this very much
but it requires proper knowledge and infrastructure which is not provided by the government.
Suppose you live in a semi urban area where garbage men don't come then where would you dispose the waste you need some infrastructure.
I know that this problem can collectively be defeated by people and the government but the government plays a major role.
Therefore blaming only people is not correct.

I once saw a hiker in France carry a few pieces of plastic he found on a mountain just to put it into the bin. He didn't complain that the government didn't have bins on the trekking route.

I agree, first our society and people need to change or else no change will be permanent.

Maharashtra: Known for its efforts in cleanliness, even in a tier-3 city.

Finally finally finally someone speaking about this. Ignoring all the racism against us, I think there is so much cleanliness issues with our country. Land, water and air. Everything is polluted. I dont think any other country is facing such issues. The problem is our own people, yesterday I saw uber driver spitting on road ( a new bridge ) and he had not even thought for a moment what he was doing. Nobody cares because 1. Not enough punishment for these crimes. 2. Not enough people to support this movement. WE NEED PEOPLE, A MOVEMENT. I swear tourism would be 3x times more if India was really super clean. In the chaos of crowds imagine clean streets. I picture it and I believe it would be such a beautiful place to experience.

Yes you are right if people clean their area then india will be clean.
A PM can clean the entire nation in 2 days thats his power
Chup
Stupid take. Are the people to be blamed for things outside of their control? It's municipal's job to clean the city and maintain it. Not the people's. If you remove all laws regarding criminal activity, you can't complain and say "why don't people stop killing eachother, be responsible" because they have no incentive to be normal people.

I live in Indore (the cleanest city), and still I find trash on almost a daily basis. The government might be doing great in Indore, but the people lack civic sense
Yup I'm also from Indore it's the lack of civic sense that is the problem.

Bro i think your one of the only genuine youtuber out there who makes videos on these topics hats off to you!🗿
You have made a nice video on the topic , to be honest yesterday while traveling on the city i had saw a mercedes from which people had thrown out food packet , forget poor or uneducated person, even the person who have got education is not utlizing it so whats the point of it , earlier my family also used to do that but i have told them not to do it again and again and then they stoped throwing trash out , i have also observed that due to lack of education people also burns trash which produces a lot of smoke , sometimes i feep go tell them but the ego the people having even education cant beat it
Thanks mohak for making this video. Would like to share my points-
1. In delhi there is no demarcation of areas... In 5 mtrs the jurisdiction change.. Ek hi jahah par jal board wala, mcd wala and delhi govt person fight karte hai... Pipe tu thik pipe tu thik kar
Mcd wala road thik karta hai agle din jal board wala khod deta hai.... And if i am not wrong this is happening in every place... No sync in local authorities... Only contractors are making money.
Staff shortage is also a big reasons... By a chance vacancies exams happens... Then a new scam a new paper leak... It feels like.. Hum khud hi petrol apne par daal ke aag laga rahe hai apne aap ko
.. Because jitni baar paper leak hoga utni baar vacancies nahi fill hogi.. No staff no work... Baaki hum indian apna ghar saaf nahi karte jab tak koi. Mehmaan nahi aai sadak mohalla kya khaak saaf karenge.
Agar koi paisa deke naukari paa bhi leta hai toh pahle woh apni cost with interest recover karta hai.
Big cities are also facing garbage problem. No garbage seggrigation system.. No govt incentives for own garbage treatment.. Govt can encourage bigger developers to create garbage treatment plants in building premises only. But builder manege nahi .. Unka area waste ho jayega
In case MCD put garbage bins they will be gone by night.
Office is in Mahadevapura
My mood got spoiled on first day.

I really appreciate your work ..! I hope one day we as a society will understand our social responsibility and make a change .!🤞🏻
