Thank you, ziuaChitarelor, for taking the time and effort to record and put this out on TH-cam to educate guitarists all over the world, especially as Andreas' path of life has led him to Kpop and production -delighted he is so successful at it. This makes this masterclass even more precious -his insights on learning to improvise are very important.

Andreas Oberg has enliven the spirit of Joe Pass and Django Reinhardt in this modern era. I love the way he approach the music with the classic style. Keep the great playing Mr. Oberg sir!!

love that you don’t plug in at home.. I love the sound of my archtop without amp.. fantastic playing and I’m glad you mentioned chromaticism right away.. too many guys are content to rip diatonic scales and licks.. 🎸😎

51:10 wild he tunes the bass and really gets it to sound like an acoustic bass duet! That should be a separate clip. Very convincing when he even does the bass solo.

to tell the truth I didn’t hear the changes on the bebop part.. they were nice phrases that of course work generically both in the minor and major sections, we only need the major bebop scale to get the # we need for the minor section V7 (#5b9).. I heard no cadence resolutions really.. not like you really arrived on the I major or really arrived on the realtive minor.. the classical and django were much clearer.. anyway I think you are one of best guitarists and musicians I’ve ever heard (in my long life) and that was just one example.. 🙏🏻🎸😎

.To se Andreas Oberg in action watch the clip "Fast Guitar Solo (2005) Andreas Oberg" This will show Obergs phrasing, syncopating skills , speed, improvising . During those three minutes he is able to show why jazz critics etc love him.

I found the lead sheet online. If you have transcribed Andreas's solo here. I would love to have that. Thanks.

Overkligt bra......Unreal. I wonder if he plays what he sings or sings what he plays?. I'm guessing its a instantaneous simoultaneous thing

I think it is ridiculous to learn to play guitar from somebody with such amazing talent.

if this or listening/watching anyone great doesn't inspire you then you're not meant to play my friend. Period! Not jealously, not discouragement, not overwhelmed just filled with excitement, passion and inspiration. Remember its not will I ever be able to play like that, its when ;)

Clever, but I prefer the guitar on its own. It's very impressive, but it is not a pretty voice. The guitar on the other hand, is great!

    • @JohnDoe-xd6yo

The sound of his voice is totally irrelevant, he's only doing it to demonstrate where the lines come from.
