Immensely impressed by the pianist, Marian Petrescu.
He kindo reminds me of Bobby Enriquez.
A true virtuoso in every sense of the word. Scary good!
More Oscar Peterson
The amount of unheralded virtuoso musicians never ceases to amaze me …… delightful hard bop almost dead …… not dead yet …
I've been listening to the greatest guitarists all my life. Montgomery, Roberts, Benson, Jerry Reed, Atkins, and the rest. This swingin' cat has the chops to keep up with ANY of 'em. One of the very, very few guys today who can unleash Benson-like licks all day long. That's saying something. Bravo.
Here here!
Listen to Pasquale grasso !
Wow - there's no stopping AÔ, just so talented. Love Petrescu - what a great team. Great compositions, top class.
my congratulations to all the musicians in this video !
Grazie
Oberg is a truly incredible player. Love this concert, top notch performances all around. The quality of Oberg's compositions was a welcome surprise, great stuff
TOP GROUP OF MUSICIANS.
Merci
Stonking Stuff This ! . Top People. Quite amazing what One Stumbles on, on You Tube ! . Mega Impressed. Best Wishes.
My greatest influence .
Thank you
Just come across this again. The level of jazz virtuosity and general creativity from guitar and piano maybe the highest out there.
Metal players: jazz guitarists can't shred
Andreas Oberg: hold my beer
The difference is that the jazz players shred interesting, high information lines that dig deep into the chord progression, and do it all with a clean tone, rather than just a bunch of distorted bullshit in one scale, like the metal players.
Joscho Stephan are more monstrous than Andreas \m/
@@henryocq joscho is a monster too.
@@tomhazelton3070 You sound angry.
@@Opuskrokus There's nothing angry about that. It's just the facts.
Thank you very much dear master for the rich contribution to Jazz. Impressive technique. I'm inspired by you. 🎸
Wow! What an incredible performance. There are not too many perfomances of Andreas Oberg on TH-cam. Thanks!
Insane pianist... !!!!
just discovered Andreas today. Fantastic!!
What a great player, and he's improving more and more
Yeah i m thinking the same (4 Andreas) a bunch of amazing licks N phrases
AND Marian has no room to improve, he Is walking on higher ground.

Great as always Oberg
fWOWOW!!! That guy is a typewriter with guitar. or flash with guitar>> and the other band member as well
These guys are killing it!
The pianist is sensational. Andreas is incredible: up there with the likes of George Benson and Peter Farrell.
Amazing.
Nice!
F 1, 🏁 ... qui comunque non c’è solo velocità di tecnica, c’è velocità nella fluidità del pensiero musicale... trovo che Andreas sia molto umile e svolga al meglio il compito che si è dato... e il pianista...Wow!! Tutti BRAVISSIMI👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very good music.
Wow they play fantstic together.I would love to have that guitar.it looks and sound amasing.
all greats ! Immense Petrescu !
Bravoo!!
Both Andreas and Marian have absolutely terrifying virtuosity. But I really like what playing sideman to this hard-charging young warrior does for Marian's playing. He's pretty hard-charging himself, but following Andreas' bombast almost forces him to take a more introspective tack, looking more toward imaginative note choices, slightly more outside harmonies, interesting polyrhythm ideas and the like. Pretty joyful stuff.
Marian practically channels Oscar Peterson. Kick butt pianist.
i TOTALLY agree....
Fantástico!
Guitarrista moderno de Jazz...🎸
Holy smoke!!!!!!
Epic performance.
muy bueno!!!
Gracias!
すごい!
fantastico Oberg!!!!!!
That guy on the piano is bloody good. He does look like the feller that drove my mother's hearse though.
Great andreas

He's playing a custom-made AJL guitar (ajl-guitars.com).
Ari-Jukka Luomaranta is the luthier.
You can see the "AJL" in the headstock at the very end of Part 4 in the series with Marian.
sorry...it's at the end of this video:
"ANDREAS ÖBERG QUARTET - Bonus material (two tracks + intervju)"
Parfait super syncro
Mais où écouter ce genre de trio sur Nice ou Cannes? ?????
20:02 Melbourne road
This guy SHOULD be paid by the note!
And the bass is keeping up! F*n incredible Jazz.
He's writing modern Korean pop songs nowadays, and I assume he's getting paid big by the note 😂😂💀
Hot, ferocious and swinging. The pianist is just too sick...OMG... but he was born with extra fingers, so..
reincarnation of Oscar Petetson! where have you been!
Felt like clapping all the time
ALGYON MEG A JO istende jo gitaros vagy
needs more cow bell
This guy sounds pretty unique. Is he?
flash wanted to be a jazz man and so he splited into Andreas & Marian

Nice. But could he play Smoke on the water?
I bet he could finagle something

Que boooooons, joan, Catalonia fredom, llibertat presos politics,💕💕❤️
Hello uncle
Nice shoes
Congratulations to all musicians of this remarkable formation. You are amazing!!! Here in Brazil instruments of renowned quality are extremely expensive, classes are extremely expensive and our good culture has been contaminated by the damn communist scum. Here, unfortunately, you hear a lot of shit like sertanejo, pagode, axé and funk carioca. I envy you, congratulations.

Never trust a guy wearing crocodile shoes :P
😂🤣, lol.
One crocodile had to walk home bare foot that night
Steve Morse's son
Obviously, this guy is insanely talented, and also plays with great tone. But he may want to consider some restraint at times - some of his runs seem a little corny and gratuitously masturbatory. However, his technique is unquestionable.. near flawless.
@@ztcr6 Same criticism applies for any instrumentalist who's playing becomes more mastabatory than an actual relationship with the other musicians and overshadows the contribution to the music being played.
I can't understand or believe that this immense talent left the jazz world for childish K-Pop , umh - he's no longer an artist just another pimp out for the big bucks. Goodbye Andreas.
And lots of money… maybe
A great guitarist, in principle. But he is not quite rhythm-sure. He tends to hurry up too much.
Yes, I noticed this, too..
I guess you can always find fault with anyone if you try hard enough. All good things or lol as they say!
I was just thinking how incredibly good he was when I saw your comment. No offence intended.
:) seriously?
It's called chops, virtuosity. What differentiates him from Benson, (his idol) is that Benson could and did play lightning fast but he didn't sacrifice lyricism on the altar of speed. Some of the same complaints are made about some of the gypsy players, such as Joscho Stephan. For some the steady diet of speed may be a bit much.
The Yngwie Malmsteen of jazz, blablablablablabla.
His style is old and he plays too fast. He's stuck in the 60's.

Music shouldn't be just a fashion statement.
Haha! He also writes songs for the K-pop acts. He's able to do a lot of different things very well.
@@steinhalvorsen_ He is my hero!
And just recently he was accused of being occupied with present pop acts. Take it (this) for what it is - good music - period
Pianist is out of time.
Damn!
