Call of Duty: Ghosts is a 2013 first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It is the tenth major installment in the Call of Duty series and the sixth developed by Infinity Ward.

Black Ops II and MW3 came out right before ghost and crazy enough people were hating on those two games during its prime. What’s funny is that everyone went back to a BO2 and played it for two years up until BO3 came out. I would also like to mention Ghost was the last game to come out with a player count.
A ghosts 2 would be amazing with Logan (and Rorke) as the villain and we play as Hesh
And Hesh desperately tries to bring back "the real Logan" towards the end or something
I just wanna see Logan as a villain if ghosts 2 happpens

This game just came out at the wrong time imo. The multiplayer wasn't that bad. The maps weren't great at launch but the dlc maps were way better. This game was refreshing especially since the modern warfare trilogy had a perfect close. Underrated game & at this point I'd rather see a ghosts 2 than a mwIV game.

I for one enjoyed the campaign. Having a dog companion, being part of a team so elite they’re practically urban legends, facing a bad guy who was once the best of this elite unit (not to mention he technically won in the end) and fighting in a space station twice.
It was an exciting setting away from Modern warfare and black ops or any other setting that wasn’t history focused like the early days.
That’s my two cents anyway.
I don't understand how people say Ghosts didn't inovate. It was more detailed and the gameplay improved by being weighteir than the MW trilogy.
Man, I love this game to this day but I can't stand how the game is still hated to this day, the campaign is great , But since we won't have the second game, what can we expect now? I would like to revisit these characters again but to this day nothing has anything to do with ghosts 😔
Ghosts had more of a modern warfare feeling over black ops setting. Plus like original modern warfare, it’s set in a different setting and had different enemies. And the villains are shadowy types
My gta verses ghosts story could’ve been about the walker brothers Hesh and Logan. Army rangers who survive the wastelands. Especially occupied by either local nomads. Federal army units, South American federation forces. Chinese corporation Apex corp, and even the weaken us led alliance GUN. A country so so divided. They heard about the ghosts team from their dad at their youth. But then a federation attack occured and this first wave was dealt with. But at a cost of their mom’s lives. And Elias. Their father mourns and decides to make his sons soldiers to avenge their mom. Plus there would be a lore of the federation. Who is running the federation. What is the federation. Why is the federation attacking the country. The origins of ghosts would be rooted back to Simon ghost Riley and the soldiers that survived the war zone end up learning from Simon in becoming survivalist soldiers and their actions are told in legends lore. Even they heard about Simon’s death by general shepherds betrayal shot and that task force 141 became disbanded and they aid the disowned task force with the world war 3 caused by Makarov. And they do whatever they can to avenge Simon Riley. They saw him as the founder of the ghosts team. A legacy Simon brought to this world. The ghosts team would end up in Perseus radar in target elimination. It would led up the Caracas insurgency in 2015. In which the generals location would become a trap for the ghosts. And Gabriel Rorke wasn’t the target but his second in command Teddy. Or something like that. A new original character. Gabriel would feel guilty as he wasn’t leadership material and let someone else take the ghosts leadership. Elias wasn’t for it. But did it for Gabriel. And soon Gabriel would be discovered missing. Even found dead. And this is discovered on the day of the second federation attack in 2025. This time it’s Chinas debt collection that caused some emp attack and roll its corporate troops to action and rescue the citizens in need of strong stability. But it’s a big trap as the Chinese troopers are occupying the country and the federation are muscle for the Chinese. Maybe it would work as some semi anthology story. It could work maybe with the origins of ghosts, the first federation wave, the 2025 attack and civil war. The 2027 events of the war happening. Something that helps create the legends of ghosts.
I still remember this game being hated so much before lunch everyone thought it was a origin story for Simon but the campaign was one of the best the multiplayer was hated because of its big maps on launch but ghost did well after the launch with the dlc season smaller map’s crossovers with the Halloween and predator franchise and iw new mode with extinction
Yeah i also thought it had soemting to do with Simon when it first released..
I think the big maps were to encourage stealthier play which didn't combine well with the run and gun majority of players who play Call of Duty.
I think it was a fun game but people tend to think with game journalists (I never took them seriously, more or less just jokes now, better to see a TH-camr review or even play it and consider the game for myself) and it was fun with the gameplay, Keegan was literally a US version of Simon ghost Riley, and I loved how badass they looked and how Keegan had those 4 eyes NVGs he looked like a demon as did most of them, the ghosts that will never die

The gaming industry at the time would mark down a game because it didn’t have multiplayer…. We didn’t know how good we had it
IMO I wasn’t a failure yes the game had its flaws but i feel like people just weren’t ready with it.

I need COD Ghost 2 after 2 decade the first game release.
This campaign need the modern warfare 2019 treatment. Because it’s was gorgeous with a great premise. Some writing tweaks and a better ending in a soft reboot kinda way

I won't go into every point but with regards to not being introduced to the Federation, they are introduced in both cutscene and in the first mission when they take over Odin.
Rorke felt betrayed and the torture and possible manipulation of his physche from the Federation is why he has a believable hate.

Well i think if They Make a Cod Ghosts 2 At this Time, i don't think it wouldn't Do well in this year, I Mean Think About it, Activision Nowadays Only care About the Mulitiplayer and only like 20% of Care for the Campaign so the Campaign wouldn't Do As well as it Used to but it does Deserve a Sequel but from the Looks of this Year of Cod, It's all about Mulitiplayer and Macro Transactions, Ghosts Future Might be Cooked, I'm Praying To Jesus Christ that this gonna Turn Out Well, Plus they did Add My GOAT Riley to MW3(the last Mission at the Start of it) so maybe it can Happen? Man Fortnite really Ruined Cod's Theme, I'll just Use Graves as a Operator But NEVER EVER use these Goofy ass Skins like what's the point of Having a Elite PMC Commander and a Literal Sloth and Duck as your Teammates like WHAT? damn man i miss the Good Ol' days of ENEMY AC - 130 ABOVE! rn these like "Advices" from the Dudes that Inform u about the enemies and ur Team is like Dead as hell, we, Mulitiplayer and Campaign is Cooked, we ain't Sure if Activision would get their Balls back and Their Serious Theme that we Know and Love(I'm Envixon, The Latest Man Alive in this Channel Notifications i WILL Commit War Crimes on u if u don't do your Job That was a Joke)

It didn't have the OG Ghost. That's why. People thought it was a huge bait-&-switch and refuse to bite. As far as fans were concerned, there was only one Ghost and his name is Simon Riley. No one else can hold the name and mask of Ghost other than Simon.

extinction, from ghost, ties into the campaign. Those cryptids push the humans of the plant, and destroy the world. Theres some hints of them in the bonus maps. So i that's true, there couldn't be sequel dince the world's and almost everyone is gone or dead
I always figured ghosts failed for two main reasons, first off on launch half of the community was disappointed/mad that the game had nothing to do with modern warfare or the Simon Riley ghost character a lot of people expected it to be connected because it was called ghosts, the second downfall I think was honestly the bland coloring and more slow paced gameplay

This is were Infinity Ward's obsession with turning COD into a tactical shooter began, the campaign and aliens were ok but the mp was just IED camping trash, the base maps were horrendous as well.
Also why would've anyone played ghost when right behind it you have BO2 which is superior in every way.
I disagree, Black Ops 2 has worse gameplay than Ghosts.
But I do think the tactical approach wasn't bad, as it makes more interesting matches than just run and gun.
Ghost was suppose to be MW4 cause I mean come on a bunch of South American countries using Russian equipment and using space nukes to invade the United States? I would also like to mention HOW TF DID RORKE SURVIVE? He was wearing no body armor he was knocked out as well and deep in the water 🤣.

lol had to add in a big hard laugh when you said black ops greatness when Black ops has alwas been trash. they’ve never been better than Battlefield. Even when Battlefield is at its lowest, call of duty is always trash 🗑️ . when they came out with ghost they got better because they actually started copying Battlefield, which was good

You shouldn't use "gay" as an insult, it is homophobic to do so.
It sounds like you're just a Battlefield fan. That doesn't mean that Black Ops is bad, you just prefer Battlefield.
