There seems to be an issue with the screens being flimsey in mine which is annoying but it makes it easier for me to get an upgraded upper screen when i get the chance so i’d say the 2ds xl is preferable. Easy to clean, repair and physically modify.

I've been using the new 2ds since september 2017 and it's amazing, the only complain I have is that replacing the battery is more difficult than the other 3ds consoles, it's not imposible but still it might damage the console if done incorrectly
I personally prefer the New 2DS XL. Both because I love how it looks but also because I have absolutely terrible joints. My wrists will start killing me after long gaming sessions on my Switch or 3DS XL, I don't get that problem on 2DS XL since it's so much lighter 🥰
The 3D is better in my opinion. I have an old 3DS XL and sometimes whenever I play 3DS games, I turn the 3D all the way up and it surprisingly doesn’t even hurt my eyes. But in my opinion again, the New 3DS XL is better bc I feel like there’s better color and design choices that you could buy
The 2ds xl is more comfortable, because it's lighter and it doesn't have that bump on the lower screen that's gets in the way of my massive thumbs. And the home button and sd card are easier to access and has a cover, not to mention it looks more modern, but the system itself does feel cheap.
Only downside to the 2ds is not having an attachment for a second joystick. The nub it has is okay but for some games (mgs3 in my opinion) it can be hard to control. The 3ds has an attachment that clips on and adds a joystick. Outside of that, I prefer the 2ds

I bought 2dsxl and my friend got a 3dsxl for his birthday and trying both, I like the 2dsxl more because it was cheaper, the 3d hurts my brain after a minute, and I like holding the thinner version.
I have the zelda new 3ds xl I use it with a grip attached Much more comfortable See no reason to get a 2DS XL because its almost the same console. Lools cool though. Love the black n blue
personally, I think for most people the 2ds xl is the better choice, as it is practically only lacking 3d, which isn't used by a lot of games and is not even too important in the ones that do use it
Right now I only have a normal 2ds, and I LOVE the thing and I've had it for about 8 years. But I do wanna get a new 3ds (not the xl just the normal new 3ds) for 3 reasons. 1. I've always wanted to see the 3ds 3d effect but I've only see it once because my cousin (or son of my moms friend idk what he is lol) came to my house for Easter in 2022 and I got to see the 3d effect for zelds tri force heroes and it was like nothing I've ever seen before, but I haven't seen it since so I wanna see the 3d effect. 2. The 2ds is nice but it really is like a doorstop. It's impossible to fit in my pockets (which already can't even fit my phone or ds lite) because it's not a clamshell and I don't have a carrying case or anything. 3. (The biggest reason) I've recently modded my 2ds and its awsome but there'd a lot of things I can only do with a new 3ds or 2ds and it's kinda annoying to find out sbout this cool thing I can o or game I can play, just to find out it's only for the new models. And I would want the new 3ds and not the new 3ds xl just for the extra portability
Imo, the 2DS XL looks cool but, it feels very cheap. If you want more of a premium feel, go with the 3DS XL. They’re basically the same price these days between $250-$300
New 3ds xl seems more fine if you see what I mean, the colours buttons, the perfect Finish, I’m not hating on 2ds I’m saying the new 3ds xlwill be worth more in the decade
And the 2ds xl isn’t repair friendly at all. It doesn’t have a battery slot instead the battery is under the entire back shell and has to be pulled off the motherboard. And the shoulder buttons aren’t modular and have to be soldered on if replaced

I like messing with the 3D from time to time so I will always pick a 3DS over a 2DS
We have several 3DS consoles, including my New 3DS XL (dual ips 😎) and my Pokéball New 2DS XL. Sadly the materials used in thr latter feel much cheaper and flimsy, even if it looks amazing.
Also the new 2ds has a built in cover for the game card slot
I got the small new 3ds cause somebody was selling the 30th mario 3ds for 200 bucks in good condition
Like think about it like a 3DS it’s so much cooler than a 2DS because 3-D is just so cool without needing glasses Games on Nintendo switch are 3-D but having the 3DS screen projecting the 3-D games you play it’s just so cool. I find.
At the start of the video emswizzle puts a 3ds xl on the screen instead of the new 3ds xl
I bought 2dsxl and my friend got a 3dsxl for his birthday and trying both, I like the 2dsxl more because it was cheaper, the 3d hurts my brain after a minute, and I like holding the thinner version.
hello, do you know as a new 2ds xl owner if it can take videos ?
@@batystesober it does take videos. It also take stop-motion videos.
@@dankali735 thanks a lot for the answer
I have the zelda new 3ds xl
I use it with a grip attached
Much more comfortable
See no reason to get a 2DS XL because its almost the same console. Lools cool though. Love the black n blue
I really like the 2ds xl, the 3d effect is a little gimmicky. But in my country the 2ds is pretty rare and is like 2x the price of a 3ds
Both because they are the superior models. Gotta have them before nintendo shuts down the servers
He actually made a good video for once
New 3ds xl has the best performance
personally, I think for most people the 2ds xl is the better choice, as it is practically only lacking 3d, which isn't used by a lot of games and is not even too important in the ones that do use it
I want the new 2DS XL
The New 3DS XL is a God-tier console. A console that’s second-best to the Steam Deck OLED.
The only other thing that the new 2ds doesn’t have is the auto brightness feature.
New 3ds xl cause of the stronger front firing speakers. I own both but I main my new 3ds xl for that reason.
Thought he could switch the New 3DS XL to the 3DS XL without us knowing
3ds
the card slot is a pain on the N2DS
Imo, the 2DS XL looks cool but, it feels very cheap. If you want more of a premium feel, go with the 3DS XL. They’re basically the same price these days between $250-$300
New 3ds xl seems more fine if you see what I mean, the colours buttons, the perfect Finish, I’m not hating on 2ds I’m saying the new 3ds xlwill be worth more in the decade
I love the 2ds xl. I just wish the power button wasn't where it was
And the 2ds xl isn’t repair friendly at all. It doesn’t have a battery slot instead the battery is under the entire back shell and has to be pulled off the motherboard. And the shoulder buttons aren’t modular and have to be soldered on if replaced
I didn’t know they even made 2ds xl, thought they would just stick with only updating the more famous console like 3DS
I hope , can upgrade the regular 3ds to new
