This is a mash - up of the video for the song and an appearance on Saturday Night Live. According to John Taylor, this was only time they played together live. Even the recording was done separately, according to Taylor.
That was SNL. It was their only live show with the four original members because Robert wanted to focus on his solo career which received a boost from Power Station. John, Andy and Tony recruited singer Michael DeBarres as their vocalist for their summer tour in the summer of 1985 and even played Live Aid.

Actually Led Zeppelin wanted Tony Thompson to replace John Bonham in 1986 when Led Zeppelin was going to reunite. Thompson was in serious auto accident (where he came close to dying). Led Zeppelin put the reunion on hold and then placed it indefinitely. Thompson died a few years later of kidney cancer.
no wonder remaining members of led zep tried to reform zep in 1985 with tony thompson,he's killin it! too bad he got in bike accident and the plan vanished.
0:24 it also isn't 100% synchronized, however, the live performances and it is great. It’s just it would’ve been nice to get. I don’t know better job of John’s base so and all of Tony’s drumming and crucial parts of Andy‘s solo and just master shots with Robert here and there and close up rather than them going through the other versions that anybody can see like the video and whatever the fuck that other bullshit was waiting for an airplane footage B roll. Pretty cool to see all these years later they were quite an elusive Project both of them when it comes to live footage.
Interesting how the video doesn't match the music. It's obvious when you hear the drummer play a long fill but in the video he's just playing the groove.
Where is the ACTUAL uncut performance? Did they use the visual cuts in the show? Doubt it, the formula has never changed. Intro, song. SNL. Once again, song. No video clips. Anyway, anyone who watched this live; lmk what's up!
I have the video from the SNL show, it is in the Power Station box set. This video is cuts from that liver performance interspersed with cuts from the official Bang a Gong video
