Life saver, was on the side of the road trying to find a slot. Came across this video, got under my truck and back on the road. Mine was really old and the sensor ended up breaking but grip pliers helping in getting the cracked pieces out. Thank you VERY much

Good looking out on this vid. Definitely saved me a tow. With a gvw @ 96k lbs truck drove great, just a tad bit short on power up hills. Other than dat👍🏾👍🏾.... woke up to truck in derate no warning or anything.

Essentially, none of those sensors needed for the truck to run properly. All of the sensors are added as the law requires them for public concern. The engine can and will run properly with and without the sensors. Sensors are only indicators and they keep things within the reading which set out by the law.
When my sensor was bad speedometer stopped showing speed and engine brake wont turn on. I have manual 10 speed transmissio.
@@johnysilver1853 the reason for that, as you may know, that the software that controls and monitors the sensors are designed in this way. They are interconnected through the software. I got a new Volvo from Ryders which was fitted with the early collision warning in the front. In city drive the constant beeping drives you nuts. So I disconnected it. Immediately engine check light came on with service requirements. Of course nothing was wrong with the truck, only the software created this "ghost fault" response. We couldn't get it unchecked through the software for insurance purposes.

Hello Pedro , I enjoy watching your videos and i learn a lot ...I have a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia 116 with a DD15 ,675000 miles 13000 engine hours.My problem is that the Engine fan stays on all the times . It seems to have a viscous electric fan instead of a clutch fan unit.There are no code on the dashboard but the engine light is on ( not the service engine light).I checked all the connections nothing is out of ordinary. I cleared the engine light off the dasboard and drove it for over 300 hundred miles the fan still on and the light came back on .I noticed that the truck is using more fuel and less engine power.I even took it to the Freightliner Dealer they diagnosed it but they couldn't find no problems or no codes. What do you think the problem is ? Shoult I buy new fan and replace it or what else am missing here ???

I'm having the same issues right now I just did exactly what you did but I still got the same issues it didn't do anything different I'm doing 55 miles an hour with that cruise sensor on and with off the cruise sensor off and my dashboard speedometer is still working even if I disconnect the sensor still works it's 2022 I'm guessing they got the sense in somewhere else or something else but it's the def thank you for the info I tried it

Thanks for the tip! Just saved me a tow! However, not sure why this didn't happen to your truck, but my cascade was fighting me the entire way. It only allowed me to stay in 10th gear for 4 seconds before it cut power, I had to shift to neutral, then back to 10th to get power again. 1st-9th worked like a charm

Same with mine. All gears worked fine once shifting to 10th it will cut off.

how far can you drive like that?
Really wanting to try this but don’t want to ruin anything on a company truck or get red flagged. I use to do the key trick To bypass governor but got old turning key on and off. Tried key truck on the ten speed and three pump acceleration and was a no go. I’m in a 2020 automatic and tried the three pump acceleration and it worked gave me 5mph or so extra bump truck was governed at 68 cruise resume bump to 70 then pedal truck to 73/74 funny thing is I wanted to see if key trick would work by turning it on and off And it failed well I tried going back to working pedal bypass truck and it stopped working smh do you know why this happened??? Did I Flagg the module ecm or something

yes the truck does lose a little power, i was loaded and could still go up hill

Does the stop engine light really stop the engine after removing the sensor? Because right now when I’m driving it shuts down the engine after a while.
you need to leave the sensor plugged in, just out of transmission
My truck debated to 55 then the next derate to the throttle away and removing the sensor did not help
So with the STOP engine light on, the rev limiter still prevents from accelerating. I removed the speed sensor but still cannot proceed. Is it possible to do a similar trick to rev limiter?

I dont think you can do it on automatic
I tried doing that same procedure to a 2017 cascadia and it wont go more than 50
Mine was difficult to pull out. I had to use a flat pry bar. I also needed to sand the inside very well so the sensor could slide in easily. It was much more difficult than I thought to replace!

DEF has been deleted and has been running good since, cab33 code.

having the same problem disconnected goes down the road great except 10th gear after 5 seconds i lose the peddle if i put in neutral rev up put back in 10th it goes another 5 sec and so on all other gears don’t lose power at all

Cal Proc Did you have 5mph derate already when you tried this trick? My 2013 has a rev limiter on it in addition to speed limiter. I couldn’t apply any throttle even in neutral

I disconnected the sensor also I removed the whole sensor so it doesn’t touch with the transmission but still I didn’t get any results.

Any distance, but i only did this to get back home or a shop, the truck will lose power on the hills

No its for a manual transmission
I took mine off and still speedometer went up when I moved. 20 model
Unplugging my speed sensor didn't help I had to unplug from the ACM module and it still killed my truck every 30 seconds but was able to finish my load and get back home to get it in the shop
You need to leave it plugged in, just out of the hole where it mounts, so the transmission dont read the sensor
