I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.
I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

He himself is also a talented engineer, has been the Chief Engineer is SpaceX since starting it, and this is corroborated by many other world renowned engineers.
He attracts the top talent. He can pay for it. He sifts out the riders that don't produce.

I'm pretty sharp myself and I think anyone that can build a rocket ship to come back and land, along with the fuel tanks to be used again, one needs to take the man seriously. Another thing I like about this man is he has true compassion for others and other countries where people are doing without because of government gouging. He's a good man. 👍

I worked for him at Tesla, the culture at these companies (although requiring rigorous work) is amazing and we were there because we believed in his missions. I am 83 years old and thank God that we have one person on this planet like Elon Musk. I really think he bought Twitter to save freedom of speech. I wish I could follow behind him when he is talking about his new ideas about a new company. If he doesn't start the company I would !!!! He is the ONLY person on this planet that has started or taken over a company and generated over a billion dollars of value on multipal companies. 1. Pay Pal. 2. Space X. 3. Tesla. 4. As crazy as it may sound in this world we have a lot of people who are anti-human. And Elon is the opposite. He is the captain of the pro-human team. I hope he lives a long time and is successful In his endeavours because they will benefit humanity immensely! The world has a lot of brilliant people doing brilliant things. Elon is that but with a lot of power and his contributions are on a massive scale.

Unlike most leaders he listens to others and therfore tries to surround himself with the brightest minds on this planet. You don't have to agree with him, you don't have to like him, but I have a lot of respect for someone that lives by what they believe in and leverage that to provide tangible results.

I'm 51 years old. Elon Musk is the most important, groundbreaking and influential person on the planet in my life time so far. Anyone who disagrees is wrong imo! ...Give me an alternative candidate and prove me wrong...I'll wait.
The only part of this I disagree with is the quote “in our lifetime”. I would say he’s one of the most important people in many generations. We’re lucky to be alive at the same time as somebody who will go down in history and be remembered for a very, very long time. I can’t believe that people don’t see it and don’t wonder at the coolness of being alive at the same time a person such as this is. And, being able to read his words in real time via X, or watch him stream games for five hours and just free flow his thoughts real time. Just the coolest thing ever and I'm trying to savor all of it.

So, i could see why people follow Elon like we did Jobs, but they both had different takes on civility. I’ve never used social media so I’m not personally impacted by “Twitter.” Some say he saved freedom of speech and others say he also bought a megaphone for himself. Time will tell but my condition is not greatly impacted by twitter. Our condition is and will continue to be impacted by environmental degradation. In all honesty, how much more plastic can our brains endure? Cause it’s accumulating it faster than the rest of our organs. Plastic brains sounds like a major problem that no one talks about. Maybe we are not just losing freedom of speech,maybe we are losing both freedom and the ability to speak.

As a mom of a grown Autistic man, I am in awe of Elon Musk. He “outted” himself on SNL years ago. He has Asperger’s (which is on the the Autism spectrum). Many people with Asperger’s are geniuses. I had a friend who had a son and when he grew up, MIT, Harvard, etc were after him ( full rides). Those who would censor us will attack at all levels: social media companies (so he buys x), payment processors (he's long wanted to have his own bank, that's what PayPal started out as), servers (x has plenty of its own), internet connectivity... so he puts his own internet in space, for global access, outside the jurisdiction of any nation, can't be taken down like standard fiber optic lines. He does everything, space exploration/satellites, social media, ev/vehicles, flamethrowers, practically a comedian, he’s hardly even started, he put many other business ideas to the side to pursue Tesla. And he’s had to deal with more regulations then all those before him so give him credit for that too. They’re are definitely no candidates YOUNGER than him.
I love that Riley Gaines said she gets all her news on Twitter. It’s the only platform where you can speak honestly without being censored. I have been discouraged more by the censorship of our words than anything else this administration has done.

They have such great chemistry with each other and when Joe asks him a question Elon answers in the most humble sincere everyday people’s way possible! I don't think most people understand how profound Elon's disdain for patents is. He doesn't believe in protectionism, he believes in out innovating the competition. Can you imagine if every company did that? It's why the level of execution in everything he does is so impressive. I think it's the most important thing about the way he runs his companies.
Elon’s technology takes million of $$$ and thousand of people and millions in overhead, which is why nobody is going to copy it.
If you are the inventor of a breakthrough gadget, that very NEW, USEFUL AND NOT OBVIOUS and people really want/need it.

great observation! yeah that part of elon is absolutely underrated. with that he secures not only that things go well during his lifetime, but also in case of his death. he gave his intellectual property to the people with that. that is one of the greatest gifts for humanity, if you are smart enough to actually build something useful
