Other than Sinestro for Green Lantern, General Zod for Superman, and Reverse Flash for the Flash, what other villains of any note does DC have that have nothing to do with Batman? Batman just BREEDS villains of the "psychopath" variety, and we pitiful humans find psychopaths more fascinating than any other kind of villain.
I would like them to go crazy at some point, do a Lobo movie just go wild with it. Would be fun to watch I think. Have him ride his space bike and all that.
A Two-Face movie where you see it from inside his mind, and there's an actual separate entity that we see along with Harvey representing his split personality. Maybe it's not until the end of the movie that he maybe self-inflicts the scarring on his face. It would explore the descent of a politician into madness, which might have something to do with him seeing Joker's antics against Wayne if it was to be set in that universe. On top of that, he could end up in Arkham at the end and it could be part of an Arkham Asylum franchise, where it explores the psychology and origins of these characters before getting thrown in Arkham. I think that's a decent happy medium between an unnecessary sequel to Joker and never touching that universe again.

Theory: When Joker climbed into his refrigerator in the movie, it was actually a refrigerator in a bodega and he froze to death; everything after was a dream.
He actually never even left the mental hospital months before the movie started. In the opening scene, when he’s talking to his therapist, he mentions the asylum, and we see a clip of him smashing his head on the asylum door, right then and there, 5 minutes in, we all knew it was fake, he is still in the hospital, that’s why after the whole movie is said and done. HE ENDS UP IN THE HOSPITAL
I really love the idea of a Batman villain centric movie where you never really see Batman and he's just this kind of terrifying force of nature. The whole film kinda portrays Batman as this monster and villain, think that would definitely make an interesting watch

If I'm honest if DC just forget the prospect of having an actual cinematic universe and do standalone movies with different actors they would be really good, maybe once you get into these movies and they actually start to do good maybe they can like mix the universes together so it's completely different to marvel and still amazingly great

That does sound cool, but the Raid’s scene was so good because he was exhausted and persevered through sheer will power. Death stroke doesn’t get tired because of his serum, and he’s also like one of the deadliest fighters in the world. It wouldn’t carry the same kind of impact, it would be an absolute massacre lol

There was a Lex centered comic called Lex Luthor: Man Of Steel that would be a great inspiration for a movie. Superman existed but wasn't the main focus and was presented more as a dangerous/threatening force, since the comic was from Lex's perspective.
I would love to see a Two Face Standalone film with huge inspiration from Aaron Eckhart’s performance in The Dark Knight along with a some inspirations form The Long Halloween with still making the film original in some way. They could even bring Aaron Eckhart back to play Two Face again since I love his performance in that film and felt he was super underrated compared to Heath Ledger’s beautiful performance. A two face movie where Harvey is currently advocating for the arrest of Carmine Falcone and his wife being a serial killer seeing his descent and constant obsession with stopping crime in Gotham which turns him both insane and ruins his face splitting his personality into two and giving him a motive to kill Carmine Falcone and possibly even his wife.

i too believe that victor fries would make for a great tragic film. especially when one considers how often batman and mr freeze have ended up working together in many different adaptations across various forms of media it is easy to see how one could make victor a sympathetic character in that he has never really been portrayed as being unrealistically evil or shallow.
How about a movie about Harvey Dent where he begins as the "white knight" DA kind of guy like he was in the Dark Knight, but you see a natural progression of him realizing that Gotham's corrupt judicial system isn't cutting it and he takes his own brand of justice into his own hands (Obviously becoming the Two-Face we all know and love at the end).
A Scarecrow origin set in Kansas as a kid living with his abusive parents in the 80's would be great, make it a psychological horror movie, ending with him killing his parents and running away to Gotham.
I want Black Adam to just take place in Egypt, with him starting as the hero and watching his desent into villainy. Facing off with maybe the Thanagarians. Justifying his actions as vital verse this invading force. The Thanagarians inspiring the Egyptian Pantheon in the end as Black Adam is sent to space by the wizard Shazam.

I’ve literally been calling out for a Mr Freeze movie since the first trailer for Joker came out. I feel like adapting the Heart of Ice origin would be such a fantastic way to create a Mr Freeze movie (or ‘Freeze’ if you want to keep the one word theme of ‘Joker’).
I've started drafting scripts for a couple of Batman movies that don't really lean on the biggest villains in his Rogue's Gallery, and obviously I feel pretty confident about the stories at play here. But, I think that's aided by the fact that I approach the villains of Batman as... more than just generically menacing, generically evil caricatures. The Joker is a complex character, and mystifying, interesting in an insane way. But he's not the only one worth telling good stories about.
The story of Lex without Superman could work, but he needs to have visions of a Superman like figure who haunts him throughout his life. Taunting, telling him he's no good regardless of his accomplishments, pushing him to strive for more. With the right screenplay, it could... COULD... work.
I’ve had several ideas for DC films, including Lex Luthor opens a circus freak show complete with Bizarro and a number of Batman villians, Lex Luthor opens a Waffle House/ Disco Cafe’ where Bizarro is a waitress and the cooks consist of Batman villians, and Lex Luthor competes on “Metropolis Idol” with a lovely singing voice only to start an intense rivalry (The Prestige-esque) with none other than... Bizarro, who just kind of accidentally stumbles his way up to the top 2...
They should do an Ocean's 11-style hiest movie with Flash's Rogues. They have a family-like code of honor. Bane would be another great Batman villain - growing up and surviving in prison, escaping, becoming a mercenary and returning to liberate his home. I always thought the Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy could be framed as a Gorilla City / Gorilla Grodd origin

i too believe that victor fries would make for a great tragic film. especially when one considers how often batman and mr freeze have ended up working together in many different adaptations across various forms of media it is easy to see how one could make victor a sympathetic character in that he has never really been portrayed as being unrealistically evil or shallow.
How about a movie about Harvey Dent where he begins as the "white knight" DA kind of guy like he was in the Dark Knight, but you see a natural progression of him realizing that Gotham's corrupt judicial system isn't cutting it and he takes his own brand of justice into his own hands (Obviously becoming the Two-Face we all know and love at the end).

A Scarecrow origin set in Kansas as a kid living with his abusive parents in the 80's would be great, make it a psychological horror movie, ending with him killing his parents and running away to Gotham.

I want Black Adam to just take place in Egypt, with him starting as the hero and watching his desent into villainy. Facing off with maybe the Thanagarians. Justifying his actions as vital verse this invading force. The Thanagarians inspiring the Egyptian Pantheon in the end as Black Adam is sent to space by the wizard Shazam.
@MrSundayMovies I like your take of Mr. Freeze. You could set it as heist or series of heists where he plans and executes robberies relevant to the cure for his wife's affliction (or his depending on story line). Ocean's 11 with a touch of grit.

I’ve literally been calling out for a Mr Freeze movie since the first trailer for Joker came out. I feel like adapting the Heart of Ice origin would be such a fantastic way to create a Mr Freeze movie (or ‘Freeze’ if you want to keep the one word theme of ‘Joker’).

I've started drafting scripts for a couple of Batman movies that don't really lean on the biggest villains in his Rogue's Gallery, and obviously I feel pretty confident about the stories at play here. But, I think that's aided by the fact that I approach the villains of Batman as... more than just generically menacing, generically evil caricatures. The Joker is a complex character, and mystifying, interesting in an insane way. But he's not the only one worth telling good stories about.
The story of Lex without Superman could work, but he needs to have visions of a Superman like figure who haunts him throughout his life. Taunting, telling him he's no good regardless of his accomplishments, pushing him to strive for more. With the right screenplay, it could... COULD... work.
I’ve had several ideas for DC films, including Lex Luthor opens a circus freak show complete with Bizarro and a number of Batman villians, Lex Luthor opens a Waffle House/ Disco Cafe’ where Bizarro is a waitress and the cooks consist of Batman villians, and Lex Luthor competes on “Metropolis Idol” with a lovely singing voice only to start an intense rivalry (The Prestige-esque) with none other than... Bizarro, who just kind of accidentally stumbles his way up to the top 2...
They should do an Ocean's 11-style hiest movie with Flash's Rogues. They have a family-like code of honor.
Bane would be another great Batman villain - growing up and surviving in prison, escaping, becoming a mercenary and returning to liberate his home.
