Who doesn't love Kongs? My dog even loves them empty, she drops it down the stairs and runs after it, the cone shape makes it bounce in odd directions and she's entertained for ages.
My Yorki doesn't care much for the Kong. Sometimes he even drops it and walks away although there're still a few treats in it (treats that he really likes). But he doesn't like dog food much in general. I adopted him 3 weeks ago and he doesn't want to eat anything that he doesn't see me eating too. He observes me very closely to check out if I'm trying to trick him into eating something that I've only pretended to have eaten too. Honestly, I've tried everything (except for letting him go hungry) and all kinds of 1st class dog food - and failed. He was underweight when I got him (not now though). I couldn't let him go hungry until he learns to appreciate his regular dog-food meals. But maybe it's time to try it as the last option I can think of?
Muchas gracias Victoria. Te he visto en un programa de TV en Argentina. He vuelto a encontrarte recientemente en Internet. Me gusta mucho tu modo. Creo que en inglés se dice: I like very much your way.
I tried that this morning with my pup and he’s not interested! 😩 I showed him some of the dog biscuits, just inside the towel, he ate them and walked away!
Thank you so much! I've got a Great Pyrenese who needs the mental stimulation. She loves figuring out puzzles for treats. She gets kinda blah if you just hand them to her after shaking a paw ect. I went and bought a kong and she loves it.
Some times you have to allow to dog to get pretty hungy before hand also anyway that you can make the food come out as easy as possible to begin with and slowly make it harder and harder. Also using something high value that is really smelly to intereste him hope this helps work to eat toys r amazing and ur dog really does seem happier if given food in them everyday as this video points out.
Tip these kind of toys work great for all animals i have special ones for my birds, and all types of pets they really are a great live saver when it comes to training animals when u have a limit amount of time because they play and exercize themselves

I just wish toys like those were more easily accessible here in South Australia. There are many requests for pet stores, but they're just not stocking it!!
Hi. I have two havanese puppies 5months old broth & sis' where can I get those toys you just displayed to challenge them? They would love them for holiday gifts.
I use this to feed my pup her her meals with the stella & chewy dehydrated patties. It works great because otherwise, she'd inhale them & probably choke. This particular toy is called the Tornado by Nina Ottosson.
Does anyone know what the last dog, Blossom, is? She looks like a Labradoodle, but more so, I'm intrigued by her coat color! It appears to be a sort of Merle, but it's Very Unique. I wonder if it is something new in coat colors or if it's just what I said. A unique marking pattern.
OMG...I dont know if ots your voice or the sounds quality of your video with the toys but my dog stopped everything he was doing and just started watching your video
My dog would take that toy and run around the yard throwing it in the air laughing at himself thinking its a funny shape ball. My dog tried to burry a plastic bone lol I bought cheap after eating all other toys.. This plastic bone I call his dummy lost its sqeake but still hisses.
It's not a matter of having patience. The canine mind works rather differently than ours. The problem solving is mentally stimulating and fun for the dog.
Drop it... Take it... Drop it... 4:45 I dont think the dog listened to her once... Just mumbling drop it and take it... in her own time... this is laughable... "When the dog drops the snake... I tell her to drop it..." VicS.... ummm doesn't the command proceed and cause the event? The more I watch this trainer, the more disgusted I am that she has bad things to say about balanced trainers... If you are not a good trainer... At the very least, dont judge others...
It's a pup, he doesn't know the commands 'take it' ans 'drop it' yet; she was introducing him to those commands... she said that she would use the word 'take it' WHEN he takes it and drop it WHEN he drops it. To connect the words to the movements... it's the first step of learning for dogs... a dog doesn't know on his own what 'take it' or 'drop it' means, we have to show him. That was wat she was doing! She explains that in the clip...
BusyLizzieNL I know its a puppy... She is confusing the puppy... Her timining is completely off... 4:45... She is not asociating words with actions... But it goes deeper than this... She is throwing out words and making it impossible for the puppy to start asscociating the words to the actions.... She is randomly just saying words, no matter what the puppy is doing... Furthermore you dont give out commands to puppy before they understand the physical cues... Dogs are masters at observing the physical... We are masters at language... If I told YOU to sit... You would understand me easier than if I made a hand gesture... Dogs are the opposite... With a dog it is harder to get him to understand sit... But easier to do it with physical action (I.e. with food.... You show him food... and lure him into a sit.... by lifting your hand...) They learn this physical action that you lure him into a sit with your hand... Then only do you start the association with words...But if you are saying your words at the wrong times... It becomes background noise.... It will be MUCH harder for the dog to get it, and establish lines of communication with your pet.. She is counter-training the dog to think nothing of those words by just throwing them out randomly... This is absolutely terrible training.... It is the equivalent of trying to teach a young child to associate the word elephant with an elephant toy... Then we show him the toy... and start saying Lion, Elephant, Lion, Elephant... Just cause the child does not know how to say elephant does not mean we want to confuse the child too... Furthermore she is not using markers at all... What she is doing is not dog training... Its absolute rubbish.
BusyLizzieNL If you want systematic communication lines with your dog, and are willing to watch a 1 hour intro segment, that will change your ability to train your dog, and lead you to right path with one of the best professionals let me know... You will understand why she is doing many things wrong here.
Sounds like you only came here looking for things to complain about because balance training is shit, and you don't agree with whatever she said about it, am I right? Here's the thing about balance training.. It doesn't work like you think it does. Your dog can't be actively trying for a reward and also trying to avoid correction. Either the reward is good enough to work and the correction is useless or the reward is the useless one and the correction is doing the (not so good) work. It is so much more effective to focus on what you want rather than setting them up for failure just so you can correct them. If I asked you to guess what my favorite color was would you rather me hint to the right one or only tell you what I don't like? Why waste time thinking of what's wrong??
Also there's the fact that this isn't a formal training session, she's showing casual owners basic ways to train their dogs. And the way she's doing it certainly works.

I’ve used a towel and rolled food into. The first time I had to unroll it for my Aussie. Next time, he had it nailed!
I tried that this morning with my pup and he’s not interested! 😩 I showed him some of the dog biscuits, just inside the towel, he ate them and walked away!
@@anitacollingwood4224 maybe try it with a higher valued food like cheese or chicken. Whatever gets your dog excited.
This is fantastic! I love feeding my dog with a Kong because it stops her from scratching on the door while we're having our dinner!
Very useful
